  1. This might have been the only bad game Turner has had all season and as a whole he easily gets a B to B+ grade as the OC and if you factor in the absolute lack of talent I might just bump that grade into the A- game. Last year Turner was awful but the other two years he's done a pretty darn good job so I don't see the reason for people to berate Ron. Orton was also hobbled and rusty (lack of practice definately effected him) and the total lack of WR's really hurt the team yesterday (something I've long bitched and moaned about).
  2. I hope Hester is benched. I also hope the Bears stop throwing slants Hesters way because he can't catch shit.
  3. It's a huge problem. Payne and Brown are the same player, both are liabilities in pass coverage yet strong in the ground game. I'd personally move Vasher back to a safety position and let him kind of be a ball-hawk type of safety (yep, not Tillman because he's our best cover corner). The one weakness having Vasher back there would be his lack of tackling ability but with one of Brown/Payne as the other safeties I could live with Vasher because the pass coverage should significantly improve.
  4. It will be Marinelli. Marinelli has a lot better track record than Babich ever did. Just get me someone that isn't afraid to blitz or do something when you can't get any freakin pass rush.
  5. The lack of emotion was the most pathetic part. You are playing your division rivals when you know damn well how important the game is (3 way tie for 1st and we know only one team is coming out of the North division this year). Absolutely pathetic. I fully believe its time for Lovie to fire Babich or reduce his role and take over for the remainder of the season. A statement needs to be made and a non move would be a statement that Lovie should get fired too because I believe your coach is doomed once he's forced to fire his assistants (ie, he still wants Babich but Angelo forces that Babich gets axed).
  6. Nick Roach or Jamar Williams could potentially fit in a 3-4. Hell, maybe you could get some value out of Mark Anderson in a 3-4 (albeit it would be a bit of a project). He's been completely awful since his rookie season.
  7. The problem was the Bears were already buried. You had to see the writing on the wall cause the D had no chance at stopping the Packers. I can't wait to see what happens in a few weeks when they go up against Drew Brees. We may see a historical day.
  8. I don't have major issues with Ron Turner. Is he the best no, but he's far from the worst and I do believe in Kyle Orton (not really going to hammer him based on this one game). I will still say a lot of the Bears offensive issues have to do with a complete lack of personell (ie a freakin WR whose any good). I also would never get rid of Dave Toub. Lovie is the worse in game manager in the NFC and just ignores the problems. He keeps thinking the D is good and that probably why we see morons like Harris, Urlacher, and Vasher continue to act as if nothing is wrong and that there is just always an excuse.
  9. He's the only one that isn't still living in freakin lala land. You have Harris, Urlacher and the Interceptor (Vasher) sitting there living on merits instead of doing something. Reality is this defense is awful and if anyone remembers I've said that going all the way back to last season where I continued to talk about how shitty the D was.
  10. I'd think there is the possibility of him having some trade value, but its hard to trade players due to the cap implications. I'm kind of curious what would be necessary if the Bears traded Harris (ie, how would it effect our cap and what type of cap space would the other team need?). I would personally have no problem moving him for additional picks because I'm confident in Harrison/Dusty/Idonijie and I believe Angelo could find another DT to slide in there as well via the draft. The main focus on this years draft should be a continuation of improving the offensive line and getting a guy who can be an impact pass rusher. Ogunleye should be out or relegated to 3rd string if they can find a legit DE to go opposite Alex Brown (who is just a very good all around DE, just not a special one in terms of pass rush).
  11. Manning is a far better returnman. Hester looks slow and useless out on the field in special teams. Manning is an above average returnman anyway. Lets see if Hester steps up at WR, if he doesn't, he'll end up being semi worthless because I refuse to put ridiculous value in return-men and yes I realize Hester had two amazing seasons.
  12. My problem is his coaching style. It just doesn't work. The Bears defense is full of a bunch of primadonna pussies (aside from Mike Brown). I will tip my cap to Lance Briggs who is by far and away not only the best player on the Bears defense but easily one of the very best LB's in all of the NFL. He's played phenomenal this season. Too bad the Bears didn't listen to me and tell Urlacher to prove he deserved to get paid. Urlacher is toast. He is at least a step and a half, if not two steps slower, and that lack of speed will really hurt him considering he's not the strongest technical linebacker in the world (ie, can't get off blocks, etc).
  13. I don't think Lovie will get fired and I fully expect Marinelli to be the Bears defensive coordinator next season (assuming he gets fired as head coach of the Lions).
  14. Watch Urlacher on the field, he looks slow. He's a shell of what he once was and we all know he relied on pure athletism as he has never been a techncially sound lb from the standpoint of shedding blocks.
  15. I agree with Aikman, there is no reason to have Orton out there anymore. He has zero mobility and is getting crushed. Go with Rex for the rest of the game. We could score on every drive and it wouldn't matter, afterall, the Defense can't stop anything.
  16. WTF, that was an awful play...ball was for Olsen but they had Clark in the same vicinity.
  17. Maynard was so terrible in the Titans game and has been almost as bad today. He is absolutely the worse punter in the NFL right now.
  18. Technically it was a blown coverage by the Bears. Even a decent throw and its a TD, not a pick. This team looks awful.....awful.
  19. Excellent, I hope we can see Lloyd reemerge here. I love having Orton back out there, but I am scared they are risking him reinjurying that ankle. Ankle sprains are something you can reinjure pretty easily.
  20. I read in the tribune where Lloyd was healthy and was just listed as inactive. Maybe they didn't feel he was ready to play? Maybe they were sending a message at him for dogging it during his recovery? I don't know but he indicated that he was ready to play on Sunday.
  21. I realize we don't like threads closed, but there is no point to a thread that solely results in personal attacks...none. I'm closing it for that reason.
  22. Ya, lets throw the game...come on guys....lots more football left.
  23. I want to see play action passes and middle of the field passes from Rex...its his strength and Babich, expect lots of 1st down passes. Bears better freakin adjust because if they don't, the ineptitude of the coaching staff will be shown.
  24. Bears fans are f***ing disgraceful...shut the f*** up. Grossman is going up against one of the best defenses in the NFL and led a nice touchdown drive and made one mistake. He did miss a shot at moving the chains but nothing boo worthy. f***ing pathetic the way that guy has gotten treated. And in other news...Brad Maynard is having one shitty ass game and to be honest one shitty ass season.
