Disappointments/Surprises
Kyle Orton - Nuff Said Matt Forte - Pretty Impressive John St. Clair - Never expected him to play the way he has at the tackle spot Josh Beekman - Been pretty damn solid, who would have thunk it Devin Hester - Looks like he's developing into a pretty nice WR Honorable Mention: Kevin Payne/Greg Olsen/Dusty Dvoraceck (BEAST) Dissapointments: Tommie Harris - He's shown up for one game....one game and even that wasn't a great game. And he entered the season as arguably the best at his position in the game Brian Urlacher - He's been at best league average, potentially below league average. You don't even notice him on the field. Like Harris he's regarded as the best in the league. Mike Brown - Horrible play; He has excuses though, unlike Urlacher/Harris Nathan Vasher - Injuries were there but this guy was one of the best CB's in the league up until injuries slowed him last year. He looked a step or two slower this season and just wasn't his normal self. Hopefully he'll rebound when he gets back out there and gets back to game speed (cause he was a special player on the Bears, much like Brown) Adewale Ogunleye - Non existent defensive ends, Ogunleye beats out Brown in this category. Honorable Mention: Brad Maynard

Orton Looking at things right
I'm getting behind neckbeard.

Does anone remember.....
I wouldn't blame anyone if they posted it. Aside from a few week stretch at the end of last season he's been a very mediocre player last year and this year.

Bears sign Terrence Holt
The articles in the papers are talking him up as a potential replacement if Mike Brown continues to stink. You know your struggling when the media is writing poor stuff about one of the Bears golden boys. Brown has never gotten much bad press but his play has been absolutely horrendous this season.

Rex Grossman
That would be a potentially good spot for him. Grossman should have options. He won't get a starting job handed to him but I won't be at all surprised to see him start a couple seasons in the NFL somewhere else. I would like to keep him as a backup but I anticipate the Bears signing a veteran backup in the off-season to have behind Kyle while Hanie continues to develop. They could draft a QB, but doing so on the first day just wouldn't be wise given the current needs of the franchise. Grossman would never accept the #2 spot in Chicago, unless there weren't many other options out there (and there should be). This is all based on Kyle continuing to develop.

Where is Des Clark?
Aren't the Bears tops in the league out of TE production?

ViQueens @ Bears 10-19
Hard to break a big run when the oline isn't opening up any sort of holes. Still, the Bears need to get Jones more involved in the ground game otherwise we'll see Forte hit a wall around week 12 and our offense will be really screwed.

Does anone remember.....
Payne is getting better each week. He is tremendous against the run and becoming less and less of a liability in pass coverage. I think the Bears have finally find a keeper at the safety spot in Payne.

Vasher looks slow out there but its also hard to judge since he missed significant time last year and the second he finally got enough games this season he went down again. I'd give Brown about 2-3 more games as well as he should improve (and I have seen improvements, still he has been mediocre at best, if not below average out there). However, Tillman is our best corner by far. I could see the Bears moving Vasher a year from now with McBride/Graham both getting promotions. I really am a big fan of those guys. However, neither of them are ready for primetime just yet.

I'll take the win but the D looked like shit.

Lloyd & Manning out for Sunday
He should be 100% or near 100% following the bye week. I'm also wondering if we'll start to hear talk about Chris Williams after the bye week.
-
Fantastic game ( offensively)
I think it was the right choice having Vasher/Tillman sit. They'll be 100% following the bye week and that will be huge, imo. I expect the Bears to explode out of the bye week. We'll have Hester and Lloyd at near 100% plus our starting secondary back. Graham/McBride both got valuable experience as well which should make them more effective in the future.

Two Missing Predictions....
I see Devin having a 7 catch 100+ yard, 1 TD game.

I almost feel bad for Minnesota
I was at the Falcons game and am still pissed and in shock, LOL.

Official College Football thread
Texas just drubbed Mizzu. They are clearly the #1 team in the country as of this moment and Colt McCoy is the big time front-runner for the Heisman.

Great stuff as usual Noots!

Sapp dogs Harris
Harris has been downright horrendous this season. And I might terrible. He was pretty bad most of last season and is even worse this year. If he's healthy and playing like this, he's done. If he's hurt, he's still probably done because his injury hasn't exactly been getting better the past couple years. The Bears are going to end up massively regretting giving him that fat contract before he proved his health and they'd be better off for the time being with Dusty/Harrison as the starters. I may be a little ridiculous but Lovie needs to just ignore the comments and say nothing, but the tape doesn't lie and Harris has looked like piss.

Lloyd & Manning out for Sunday
It'll give Bennett a chance to show all that preseason hype was worth something.

Williams' Bear Debut May Be Soon......
This is pretty cool news.

Where was the running game?
The offensive line still has a ways to go, but its great having a complete back like Forte. Jones is a rock solid backup and I was glad to see the Bears got Jones a lot more carries this past week. I expect to see him continue get more and more carries and that should help keep Forte fresh for the whole season (which hopefully includes a SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONSHIP).

When the Bears pickup this Olsen guy?
He's at his best split out in the Wide Out position. I think they should do it a lot more often too. He's too big to be covered by a CB and too fast to be covered by an LB.

Anyone know if Brandon Lloyd is going to play?

I'm definitely not attracted. She looks like Condolezza Rice and I certainly wouldn't be stooping her.
