  1. I vote no... but if players will be fair and not abuse the system, I wouldn't mind it.
  2. I am pumped... I think Babich is going to be a great DC!
  3. Well, I think he is going to be the LB Coach and Assistant HC. I think this is a really good move on his part. He will now know both the 3-4 and Cover 2, the two most popular D's, he will get a little HC experience as their assistant HC, and he will learn about offensive strategy as well, as he is going to a high powered offensive team.
  4. what? Rivera has been a very conservative DC over the past 3 years... If anything we will get even more aggressive.
  5. Eagles... not so bad. I assume all free agents stay with their current team, correct?
  6. And 40-50 million would be overspending in one position. We all love Briggs, but I love Tommie, Vasher, and Peanut all together much more.
  7. I got Turner and Rivera mixed up! Oh yeah... this was Lovie Smith's decision not JA's, as the HC decides who he wants on his staff. So don't give me any crap about the Bears being "cheap."
  8. are these new guys from soxtalk?
  9. Rivera is overrated as a DC, IMO. This was Lovie's system, are you all forgetting that? Rivera has just been pimping himself out for a HC job lately. If any of you recall, Babich turned down Buffalo's DC job, and turned down an interview with Minnesota for their DC job, saying "I don't give a damn about Minnesota." Babich knows this system, and was going to be the DC sooner or later. I'd rather have him there sooner rather than later.
  10. I see this a great move. Babich is going to be a great DC. He knows the defense better then almost anyone, and he is more agressive, and changes the gameplan when needed, unlike Rivera. Also, Rivera was becomming quite a distraction in playoff time since all these teams were interviewing him and what-not for HC... With this being said, will Norv Turner, the newly hired SD HC, hire Turner as the DC and assistant HC?
  11. You better not forget me soxfan!
  12. Well, I am part of a full forum mock at a NFL Draft site, but I will take only ONE team...
  13. I really disagree. HH has been an underrated player for a while, and in 2004 with all those injuries, he really stepped in at MIKE for Urlacher and preformed very well. Plus, he is very good in coverage.
  14. Well, with all that being said, I hope we sign him to something like a 5 year, 30 million dollar contract.
  15. Or he holds out and we have to trade him...
  16. Arrington is done, and would probably cost more then HH. HH is a very underrated LB, and if would be the 2nd best on a lot of teams. I think if Briggs ever left, HH would break out.
  17. Arrington would be a SAM in our system and Thomas would be a DE... No use for even attempting to sign either of them.
  18. You got it wrong to. Justin Gage and Alfonso Boone are both UFA's.
  19. I just read that LaVarr Arrington got released by the Giants. What happened to him? He was a beast a couple years ago, then he had some off-the-field, locker room issues, and hasn't been the same.

    Ian Scott

IIRC, didn't Scott say earlier in the year that he loves Chicago and would want to stay? Plus I read an article a couple days past the we are expected to try and resign him. Plus, it wouldn't be like he wouldn't play, all the DT's play in our system.
  21. I HIGHLY doubt some team signs Briggs off of us for two first rounders. The best I could see us getting from his a late first pick via trade. Maybe to the Colts?
  22. mainly because back then the chargers sucked.
