  1. Interesting: Dalton 74-66-2, 2973-4782, 33764 yds, 62.2% Comp, 7.1 Y/A, 218 TDs, 126 INT, 87.5 QB Rating Cutler 74-79, 3048-4920, 35133 yds, 62.0% Comp, 7.1 Y/A, 227 TDs, 160 INT, 85.3 QB Rating So based on sheer numbers, Dalton had the exact same production as Culter with 25% less INTs. Dalton did it in one less season too. In comparison, Nick Foles is 67-55 with 13753 yds, 81 TD, and 43 INT in 9 seasons, one less than Dalton. So however you want to carve it up, Dalton is probably the best QB the Bears have had on their roster since Cutler. Trubisky's best year would've been Dalton's 3rd worst, so there's that.

    Blackson signed

Bears sign Blackson, rotational guy on line. I hope he is not a Hicks replacement.
  3. Unless we get a real QB or some other type of impact player, this will go down as the worst offseason in franchise history.
  4. Ok, the only new Bears player is Andy freakin Dalton? 1. Tag: Robinson 2. Re-sign: Ifedi, Edwards, Bush, Santos, and O'Donnell 3. Sign: Dalton That's our offseason so far. Compare to the bottom dweller Lions: 1. Trade: Goff, Brockers 2. Re-sign: Okwara 3. Sign: Jamaal Williams, Tyrell Williams, Josh Hill
  5. Because other teams know the Bears are up against the cap and may have to release him anyway. The problem is a cut does not get compensatory compensation, so could lose Fuller for nothing. If that happens, I'm not watching another game until Pace is gone.
  6. This may be the worst offseason in the last decade, and that is saying a lot. If they don't get a real QB, this is going to be an absolute train wreck.
  7. My guess is it will be Mac Jones, I don't know why, maybe it's because I live in Alabama, but something tells me it will be him with Pace trading up to something like 12 or 13 to get him.
  8. I can only hope this is a smokescreen like Pace did with Glennon. Signs Glennon, says he is the starter, then trades up for Trubisky. The plan worked until he traded up and drafted Trubisky.
  9. Now they are talking about cutting Fuller. This is embarrassing, the Lions are doing better than us. They just need to fire Pace now, why wait?
  10. Ifedi will go back to playing RT, so it wouldn't impact another OT signing to replace Leno.
  11. Dalton has thrown more than 30 TDs one time in his 10 year career (2013) and only one season with a QBR over 60 (2015). He has finished with a QBR below 50 (which means below average league starter) in 5 out of 10 seasons. He is literally the picture-perfect slightly below average QB and only plays above average with great pieces around him.
  12. That's all we can look forward to. With COVID, and the lower cap, I think they didn't want to bring in a new regime. So they will get a fresh start with a high draft pick in 2022 because this is a 6 win team with Dalton or Foles at QB.
  13. He signed a $3M - 1yr deal with Dallas last year, while we traded a 4th for Foles and picked up his $24M contract. Now we pick up Dalton a year later and pay him more than Foles? Please let this be as a backup and we are trading Foles. It just seems to pay the guy triple what he got last year is quite excessive for a cap-strapped team.
  14. Trubisky is the top free agent QB.
  15. CB Shaquill Griffin a three-year, $44.5 million deal with the Jags

    ARob's Tag

Davante Adams had 18 TDs, ARob had 6. ARob is a #1, but he is not top 5.
  17. Pretty cool FA Cheat Sheet. File attached or view here: According to Mike, our lowest unit position is QB (0.4), then S (0.8), then OL (1.6), then CB (2.0), followed by WR (2.4). Checking out some names on his list from those groups: QB (Top 5): Trubisky, Brissett, Dalton, Taylor, Smith. This is funny and sad, Trubisky is the hottest QB on the market. Do the Bears make a run at him? How would he look in Nagy's offense? Safety (Top 10): Harris, Jackson, Harmon, Neal, Hooker, Boston, Woods, Tartt, Vaccaro, Gipson So any player above Gipson would be an apparent upgrade. A few of these guys would compliment Jackson better than HaHa or Gipson did. OT (Top 10): Williams, Villanueva, Schwartz, Fisher, Beachum, Okung, Reiff, Remmers, Peters, Wagner OG (Top 5): Jackson, Incognito, Turner, Reed, Ifedi For OL, we obviously need bookends. I would love to have someone like Williams or Villanueva, but would settle for someone like Reiff at this point, which would still be an upgrade over Massie. CB (Top 10): Jackson, Griffin, Sherman, Hayward, Peterson, Jenkins, Rhodes, Butler, King, Hill With Fuller and Johnson locked in (unless traded), I am surprised this group was this low. So if we brought someone in, I would assume they would be the Nickel or CB3, so I doubt any of those guys in the top 10 would fit that role. WR (Top 10): Smith-Schuster, Golladay, Fuller, Samuel, Brown, Watkins, Hilton, Jones, Brown, Sanders If the Bears do not sign Patterson, I would love to see Samuel signed, who played all over the field for CAR, but is a much better WR than Patterson. If the Bears miss out on the top 10, a few other names that would be upgrades over Miller/Wims at #3 would be Keenan Cole, Josh Reynolds, and Adam Humphries.

    ARob's Tag

Davis at $12.5 doesn't even put him in the top 20 WR deals (for AAV), so that was actually a pretty solid deal for the Jets. Michael Thomas makes $19.25M, Tyreek Hill makes $18M, so the tag value of $17.98M is about right for ARob. I wouldn't mind a deal that averages $20M per year as long as this year was $15M.
  19. Corey Davis 3/37.5 to the Jets.

    Cap is $182.5M

Good catch, I forgot about that. So the Bears actually have $190M with carryover:
