  2. Atlanta was overpursing a lot. The Bears needed some mis-direction. Hell, if they are stacking the box, go to the shotgun and let Cutler pick them apart.

    A positive

Yeah, Everything starts at the O-Line. We need some serious help there. It is pretty sad to see Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson both in the Top 5 in the NFL in rushing, and we have zero WR's in the top 40 in Receiving yards, while Cutler is about 16th in QBs (and behind Orton). All those guys are benefitting from solid O-Lines. Our defense is not actually playing bad. We held Atlanta to 253 total yards, 5-12 on 3rd Downs, and a TOP of 26 minutes. Compare that to what they did to SF and we actually look pretty good. Right now O-Line looks like the number 1,2, and 3 priority, with DB and LB coming next.
  4. Yeah, but that was after we lost to GB. I just was shocked that no one picked us. Position by position breakdown, the only area they have an edge would be at WR. Otherwise it is pretty even, or we even have an edge.
  5. http://espn.go.com/nfl/picks http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/features/writers/expert/picks 16 so-called experts pick the Falcons. Not a single one picks the Bears, yet we are only 2.5 underdogs. The Jets are the only other unanimous pick to win. That means every other underdog received one vote. The odds makers are pretty good at the spread and they are actually saying the Bears are favorites on a neutral field (3 pts the normal home field advantage bonus). It is kind of funny to see their yearly records predicting the games. ESPN "experts" put CBS "experts" to shame.
  6. Benson looks like a completely different back. He has speed that I have never seen before. On his TD run, he was stopped in the backfield and busted out for 25+ yards outrunning everyone on the field. In Chicago, he would just run into the backs of the OL. Could it be Turner?
  7. I don't think we need help at WR, or at least it is not the top concern. So I would hate to give up a pick for something we don't really need.
  8. With NYG, MIN, and NO all undefeated, they are clearly the forerunners, and essentially locks for the playoffs. Someone will win the west, and the 2 WCs will come from the other 3 divisions. Right now the Bears, Falcons, and Eagles are vying for 2 spots. So the game next week is huge. We stay ahead of the Pack, and push ahead of the Falcons.
  9. They looked great this week vs SF. Almost 500 yards of offense, 8-15 on 3rd downs. This will be a huge test for us next week.
  10. You are making it seem like this is dink and dunk. Orton completed 73% of his passes and threw 48 times and a bunch were beyond 10 yards. He averaged more yards per attempt than Brady, and 5 receivers had 4 or more receptions. This wasn't just the defense either. Denver had the ball for 36 mins and over 400 yards. Orton would've been much better for us this year (but I still do the trade every time).

    Rookie Surprises

Yeah, that is crazy. Also, I remember Mohamed Massaquoi during the draft and that some were thinking we would take him in the 2nd.
  12. 5 seems high for him right now because I thought he was the 10th Best QB on their list.

  14. I remember the high five at midfield.
  15. NFC 1. Saints 2. Giants 3. Bears 4. 49ers 5. Vikings 6. Eagles AFC 1. Colts 2. Patriots 3. Ravens 4. Chargers 5. Broncos 6. Steelers MVP: Brees OROY: Sanchez DPOY: Allen I think Minnesota could easily be 5-3 at their Bye Week and that last game at Soldier Field will probably decide the Division.
  16. Mine is all NFC North teams, then all NFC teams, then all AFC teams.
  17. Odds for making the playoffs: 4-0 84% 3-1 64% 2-2 35%
  18. I actually liked how GB stopped AP, especially in the 2nd half. Otherwise, I thought GB played like crap, and even like that, they only lost by 7.
  19. Detroit had one of the better coverage units before the game.
  20. I am loving me some Jay Cutler. 3 consecutive games with a 100+ QB Rating, and 7 TDs and 1 INT in his last 3 games.
  21. I don't want to see Minny go to 4-0. Very few teams miss the playoffs after starting 4-0.
  22. I was kidding (blue = Detroit colors).
  23. Wear blue so I can see you.
  24. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl,193266 I think it is a little too early for a comparison like this. Especially considering that Forte's rookie year was better than any year by either of the two. I also believe that he is playing injured, our O-Line has been bad in support of the run, teams have stacked the box, and we've played 2x 3-4 defenses.
  25. I would love for a fast start. We have yet to score in the 1st quarter and have been outscored 17-0 so far. Lets also have some nice sustained drives. I am sick of the quick 3 and out to start the game or half. Bears 31-17.
