Jeff Dickerson, ESPN Staff Writer, Posted this on ESPN.com I don't know anything about Bennie Fowler other that what is quoted. Is he just camp fodder or does he have a chance to be anything beyond a game day inactive?

I don`t know how some of you can say definitively how Ryan Pace will draft especially after 2017. Just looking at a few photos and some of the early parts of camp a few players standout. First is a leaner but hopefully stronger Adam Shaheen. Leonard Floyd looks like he's finally added enough bulk to be a more consistent threat as a pass rusher but he's still lean and should still have his quickness. Tarik Cohen is definitely stronger this season too. We'll see how this translates to their play on the field. Today is the first open day of practice so we'll get plenty of reports. https://www.chicagobears.com/photos/practice-snaps-training-camp-day-1#ec7f2489-aacd-44df-b1dd-1c73e5a99151

  4. About halfway through the game I commented to my son how much white space Nagy had on his play sheet. And he did have just a single sheet with plays on both sides. In contrast McCarthy was walking around with at least 2 sheets, maybe 3, and they were full on both sides. I expect that white space gets filled in more and more each week. Obviously there's a difference in QBs but in the end what we saw was one team learning a new offense and another where their QB has been doing the same thing for 14 years. That defense threw a ton of looks at Trubisky and the offense. I hate losing but it's great to get that on film for everyone and it will help over the next c…

That was quick. This behavior is getting out of hand. How many guys are doing crap like this all the time and getting away with it? Also, what type of idiot chick (19 yr old) is hanging out with dudes like Hunt (23 yrs old) at 3am?

Huge signing (according to Pace), this obviously addresses the need at TE. I don't expect another TE to be signed.

So, if this works out the way Yates says here, if you are the Bears, do you jump to #4 (ATL) or #5 (CIN) and take Fields? Some think DET may also take one at #7. So unless you are in the top 6, you will probably not get one of the first 4 QBs selected. I wouldn't do that and would rather take a chance on Trey Lance without having to mortgage the farm (again).

Pace has had me totally fooled throughout his tenure, yet I still try to figure out his mindset. This is my last attempt before the draft. 20. Tevin Jenkins OT Oklahoma St. Hoping this puts Leno Jr. on the June 1st cut list 32. Pace trades back into the first round gives up 52 in 2021, 2nd in 2022 and Anthony Miller Kyle Trask QB Fla 83. Shaun Wade CB Ohio St. If his meds check out we have 2 young CBs for the future. 164. Alaric Jackson OT Iowa if Pace is in true job security mode another OT prospect for depth and starting potential is needed. 204. Jonathon Cooper Edge Ohio St. Robert Quinn consider yourself one and done 208. Tyre…

  11. From 2011-2020, there are only 2 NFL teams that are in the top 5 in the league in the following schedule categories: 1. Games with less rest than opponents (NYG - 2nd (39), CHI - 5th (31)) 2. # of short week road games (NYG - T/1st (16), CHI - T/4th (14)) 3. # of games off road SNF or MNF (NYG - 2nd (20), CHI - T/4th (17)) Overall with all the other factors, the Bears had the 27th worst scheduling variables over the past decade and one of the biggest disparities between division opponents (27th > GB 13th, Vikings 12th, Lions 4th). Seattle (30th) to LAR (14th) was the biggest. https://www.nbcsports.com/edge/article/offseason-research/teams-most-impa…

  15. Bears have a bunch of players injured and on C19 list. Minnesota leads the league in sacks but allows the 4th most yards (only behind NYJ, HOU, and SEA), and is in the bottom 8 in pts against. Bears are at home and Cousins is 3-9 in primetime on the road (last win at Soldier Field lol). The only positive is ARob, EJack, and Goldman are not playing. Those are additions by subtractions. Hopefully, Ifedi or Wilkenson can play at RT. This team is a mess, from the top to bottom. Hard to pick them to win in these conditions. I am just hoping for a solid game from Fields with no turnovers. Vikings 31-17

After dominating the Colts in week 1, the Bears war room re-arranges its priorities. Here is my version of there draft board. My highest priorties are QB, RT, S and then G, WR. ROUND 1 - PICK 20 1-Cullen Harper QB Clemson - The Bears do need to address the QB position, so don't be suprised if they pull the trigger on Harper who can spend the 2009 season grooming behind Orton. Other considerations: Darius Heyward-Bey WR Maryland - The Bears would love to take the speedster at WR, but feel OL needs to be priortiy #1 until they are probowl caliber. There philoshy is to run the ball and Forte looks real good so far and by adding more quality to the fro…

http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/ COWHER RUMORS FLY IN CLEVELAND Posted by Mike Florio on September 24, 2008, 12:32 p.m. We’ve ignore the stream of e-mails on the subject, but they’re becoming more frequent, and we’d prefer to be left alone. Apparently, plenty of folks in Cleveland have heard that former Steelers coach Bill Cowher has bought a home in Strongsville, Ohio. It’s creating a buzz on the Internet, and for good reason. Cowher’s purchase of a North Carolina home in early 2006 fueled rumors that he would be leaving the Steelers After the 2006 season, he did. But the Browns have a coach. They also have a G.M. If…

I have seen many areas called out, but to me, more than any other key, we are simply losing the battle of the trenches. Offense Atlanta is not a great run defense, but we made them look pretty dang good. Prior to playing us, Grant (GB) hit them for 83 yards, and Grant has sucked this year. Carolina tag teamed them w/ Williams and Stewart for about 110. Larry Johnson, who has looked old and tired, racked up 121, and even Jamal Charles got into the action for another 40. TB ran all over them too w/ Graham (116) and Dunn (50). Then we face them, and we watch Forte getting hit early and often in the backfield. He ended up getting 76 yards on 20 carries, but t…

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,6113581.story Funny how, since he is having problems this yr, he mentions that he is just 1 of 11 on the field during returns. I don't remember him talking about this when he was wanting a contract extension. I bet his agent never said a word about making sure they take care of the other st players as well. Makes you go hmmmmm. Peace
