I'm still searching for OLB prospects thinking we'll be keeping this 3-4 defense under someone, possibly Fangio. Take a look at Lorenzo Carter against Notre Dame and tell me who you see. He doesn't have the sacks stats to go with a top 10 pick but neither did Floyd when we took him. It's hard to assess draft stock right now players like Carter, low production, in sacks not tackles, but high potential. He might be a good candidate if we trade back a few spots.

I read where Tyrod Taylor will not take a pay cut this year which will be a problem going forward for Buffalo. So I predict that they trade Taylor for a third round pick and trade up with us to get a QB. Landry Tagged That pretty much takes him off the table, not that he couldn't wind up somewhere besides Miami it's more complicated. Perhaps they tagged him to buy time to work out a long term deal, and if someone wants to pony up they get compensated. With him and Robinson likely getting tagged the list of FA targets (no pun intended) is starting to shrink.

Given the concern, it probably would make sense to start with a 6th as an initial offer. I bet the Bears and Skins could meet in the middle for the Bears early 4th rounder. It's a risk, but it could be a huge reward and the ILB of the future. We already know he can play in the NFL. The same can't be said for most 4th rounders.
