I’m loving everything we’ve done in adding offensive weapons to help out Trubisky. The one thing I can’t understand was letting go of Josh Sitton. I got it at the time assuming that we would sign someone young and more athletic. Since then all we’ve done is resign Bradley Sowell—who is a back-up swing tackle. It also looks like Quenton Nelson will be long gone by the time we pick at #8. Dumping Sitton, we now have a gaping hole at o-line. At best, Bobbie Massie and Charles Leno are average. We plan on using Trubisky out of the shot gun a lot more. Can Cody Whitehair consistently release a shot gun snap on target? Will Kyle Long play more than 8 games? With G…

My best case off season moves; Sign one of the two FA WR Robinson-Watkins! Make a hard play for Norwell. Make a great offer for best CB free agent in their minds. Butler etc. For me please not 25 They should be able to do two of the three and sign some of their own FA etc. For the draft; One of these 5 options should be available at 8, best option based on the above. Draft Nelson, Edmunds, Ward, Ridley, trade down. And if they can't make any trades etc. and only keep Fuller I would use that order.

Rumors are swirling down at the Combine. Bears trade Howard and in exchange receive Landry and a 3rd Rd pick. Howard is not a good fit with his lack of receiving skills. https://twitter.com/Eric_Edholm/status/970011249550479360

Most years I get to watch the entire combine. Either live or recorded. This year I didn't, so I don't have as good of a handle as normally. So... Which guys have risen on your personal charts? Mid round guys who might have moved to bottom first. Nobodies who are now mid round guys. And also the late round sleepers. Who's the guy the Bears should get with a big surprise?

IMO, a free agent WR is out #1 priority. I think this because a). I don’t think we can draft a WR #1 after missing on Kevin White. . We want to help Mitch NOW, and rookie WR’s take time. C). We failed miserably at acquiring mid-level WRs. D). Last year we had what was arguably the worst WR group in the league. The good thing is we have $$$ and there are good WR available. Who do you want? All these guys have issues and concerns and this will cost. 1. Allen Robinson 2. Jarvis Landry 3. Sammy Watkins 4. Marquise Lee 5. Paul Richardson On a final thought, for those of you who like Albert Wilson, at best, he’s a 5’8 #4 WR.

It’s being reported by Moon Mullin that the Bears would trade Jordan Howard and the #8 overall pick for Jarvis Landry, the #11 pick and a 3rd rounder. I actually like this. Howard doesn’t fit our new offensive scheme as he’s a terrible pass catcher. It’d also be nice to get a 3rd round pick. The downside is we’d need to sign Landry to a long term contract extension as he’s been tagged. I’m also not thrilled about dropping from 8 to 11. But this would take care of our most pressing need.

Would you guys be happy with something like this for free agency: Trumaine Johnson, CB (28) Andrew Norwell, OG (26) Sheldon Richardson, DT (27) Albert Wilson, WR (25) Trey Burton, TE (26)

I know we have Shaheen, but man, Gesicki is tearing it up: His last two seasons: 48-679, 14.1, 5 TDs 57-563, 9.9, 9 TDs That is some great production and he is 6'6" and 250 lbs, so he is not just a workout warrior. Would you consider him as an option if he is sitting there in the 4th?

Some thoughts sitting here on vacation watching the WR/QB Combine show. I didn't see everything so just caught a bit here and there. Allen Lazard ran well today coming in at 4.55. If we're looking for a bigger redzone type of target based on what they showed today this draft provides quite a few good options with Lazard being one. Sutton ran well and looked good catching the ball. Toss in guys like Auden Tate and Jaleel Scott too. We could put Simmie Cobbs in that discussion as well. I watched some highlights of him last night and noticed that he never really got separation. He ran a bit slow at the combine 4.64 but he has phenomenal hands and with an…

I'm not sure where to fit this guy in on a draft board but he's starting to take the same path Haason Reddick did last year with a big rise up draft boards once the process started. Reddick was just 6'1" tall whereas Edmunds is listed at 6'5". That could put Edmunds in play for us at OLB. Like Leonard Floyd he was most often lined up as a LB off the line so in two games and some highlights I didn't see much film of him coming off the edge. When he does he shows some of the skills you want to see. I think he'll need to be stronger in his upper body to play there full time. Watching him play I think he could easily slot into the ILB role for us. If Fangio thi…

I don't want him on our team regardless of draft round. You don't fail the biggest interview of your life like this. He doesn't appear to have done any workouts prior to the combine. 14 reps on the bench press and then today it was painful watching him run.

Ok, if you guys don't mind, please post how you believe the top 7 picks will fall out in the draft: 1. CLE 2. NYG 3. IND 4. CLE 5. DEN 6. NYJ 7. TB I used the following mock draft database to come up with some consensus top 6 picks and their probability. (http://www.letsgoredskins.com/MockDraft.htm) Using the information from mocks from 10JAN until now, I came up with 660 data points (6x 110 mocks). Here are the percentages by slot for the top 6: 1. Darnold (52.7%) 2. Rosen (50%) 3. Chubb (60%) 4. Fitzpatrick (41.8%) 5. Mayfield (23.6%) 6. Allen (20.9%) This is the overall percentage on being selected in the top 6: …

Per everyone. Glennon saves $11.5 and Young saves $4.5, so another $16mil. Kyle Long now the oldest player on the team at 29. Now with the 3rd most cap space heading into free agency and 6th youngest team in the league. Wheaton and Cooper should be next, another $9.5 in savings and would make us the 4th youngest team in the league.

Pace talked today ahead of the combine and he was very open. He said that he's already talked with Willie young and he will be released and said that Mike Glennon has something in his contract that prohibits the team from releasing him until the new league yr starts however he will be released as well
