WR Jeremy Maclin was released by the Chiefs today. He's 29 and pretty darn good. Should we kick the tires?

I would assume we are going to keep a FB by having two on the roster. Probably means we only keep 3 RBs? Cunningham probably doesnt make the cut.

  5. I know most Bear fans like me cannot wait until the Bears dedicate building the D back into the Monster we have seen. The current roster situation seems to dictate at least one more trip to the well for offense. There will be defensive additions but I forecast offense early in the next draft. My forecasted needs as of now will be OLT, CB, WR, DT, and LB. RD1- OLT - this depends on how well Charles Leno Jr performs on his final year under contract, but his mediocre performances may sway Pace to find a superior blindside protector for his prize QB. For Trubisky to be his best, he will need a clean pocket. Names to watch: Mike McGlinchey ND, Connor Williams Tex, …

#Bears waive QB Connor Shaw. per Twitterverse I liked his potential, but with Trubisky, Glennon, and Sanchez, not much room for him.

I'm still optimistic he's going to turn out to be a good player for us. I don't think that happens this year as he learns a new position. If he can still run well, and the offseason workout videos seem to show that he can, then special teams coverage could be his ticket to making the 53. Best case is he challenges Bullard for significant backup reps at DE. Or maybe that's the worst case because it means Bullard hasn't progressed as we hoped. If he sticks around, down the road I can see RRH in the LDE role when we are in a 4-man front. IMO converting RRH to this role has better odds of success than when we converted Cornelius Washington to 3-4 DE. That worked…

I too would like to see quite a bit of this given the talent we now have at TE. That includes Brown should we decide to trade Miller, although I lean towards keeping 4 TEs on the roster. http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2017/05/25/b...end-formations/ The mix of TE talent we have, along with Howard on the field behind a good run blocking Oline (you know it's true), puts a defense in a quandary. Now if we only had a QB talented enough to roll out and throw on the run, or just run.

http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...80-4c02c2055a19 A few things to note. The notion that Glennon was not called or notified at all is now completely debunked. He was called 10 minutes after the pick and the next morning. So this also ties back into the secrecy scenario and the need to keep things quiet. Glennon was at the Bears draft party, so why would they invite him, then draft a QB in the 1st...... I am glad Glennon is taking all this in stride, or at least saying the right things. I am actually hoping he has a great year, which will ultimately benefit us in some way shape or form.

  12. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0523-story.html Looks like Kevin White missed todays OTA after participating yesterday. When Fox was asked about it, he basically said it is one practice, we are not going to worry about it. Reporters on the other hand are feeling a little deja vu and wonder if he had a set back. Others that missed:Hronis Grasu, Kyle Long, Danny Trevathan, Zach Miller, Pernell McPhee, Willie Young Most who have missed had offseason surgery. ..

I'm 46 , so I grew up with Soundgarden from 1989 until today. They were my favorite band. It's a sad day for rock. I listened to many a Soundgarden song after watching Bears games...either to feel the joy or the anguish.

Here is an interesting article suggesting what the Bears do this year. What I find interesting is they have Floyd doing 14 and 1/2 sacks. Glennon has a good year. Howard is a stud. Cohen adds some offense. Meridith has a good year but I think White has more of an impact than they suggest. With the added pass rush we will have more ints that they suggest. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2709581...leaders-in-2017

When praising or criticizing Pace we need to look at his plan. In the first two years, he took position players and did not draft a QB. He tried to trade up for Mariota and last year to go up and get Wentz. I would have to say both of those should turn out to be good QBs. So I think he can identify a QB when he sees one. In the three year of a rebuild , he need to get a QB to push forward with the progress, so he addressed with an urgency. I would say he identified Tribusky as his guy early but there was no guarantee he would be there at three. So he went out and grabbed the best QB available in FA.He did think in spite of getting a chance to draft Tribusky , be…
