http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...story?track=rss Cutler says he lobbied the Bears to acquire Marshall and believes the team will continue to pursue other receivers. "I don't think we're done at that position," Cutler said. "I think we definitely want to get another one. But it's just going to come down to whether someone is available and whether Phil and the rest of the crew feels like the value is there at whatever pick we're at or whether we can get the right price. I don't think we're going to be foolish with what we're trying to do. If we can get someone to help us out on offense, I think we'll grab him." Cutler said he talked Tuesday to …

  2. The Bears have done another good job at creating excitement for this seasons team. The retooled defense will have a different look for sure. The offense will be a wait and see as they made some major moves too. I like to walk the edge with my player picks: Defense Deiondre Hall DB - this guy has good length, high football IQ, and does what it takes in run or pass. I do not see him getting much time to showcase his game early on unless there are injuries. His skill set will compliment Fuller well since he w is great against the run. Donatell will do good grooming Hall and I think he will be a name we watch making plays on Sundays. Offense Eddie Royal WR- …

Is there any way trading our second and another round pick isnt a no-brainer. 1st off, past Robiski, i dont see the WR at 49 to be worth much of anything. Boldin has like 4 years left of production and a with a great QB, the rest of our bums will probably be 100x better. I think we take the absolute best player available then at 99 and fill our holes with the late rounds. And for god sakes draft a FB, Sutherland would be my choice....

According to a few draft sites he is rated no higher than the 20th best prospect at his position. The scary part is one person compared him to Roy Williams. I don't agree with that.He is a decent route runner that I believe is similar to Earl Bennett. Thats not bad but thats not what this team needs.A solid go to guy with size and speed to become a constant threat on every down is what this team needs with possible game breaking abilty. I always use an old school approach to big ten schools and their skill position players. When they have transition to the pros what has this school produced at the pro level. Iowa has lagged in those positions but in the trenches on both si…

I cannot wait for the day that we no longer hear about these two. Every time the Bears are brought up, it is the same old same old. Just end it already, cut the ties. Use all the cap space to pay for their dead money and let's play for a #1 overall pick next season. Two drafts in a row with top 7 picks should set us up nicely and ARod will be two years older.

Everyone please reply with your top 5 needs in order. I'll compile, throw in a draft, and we can whittle down to something everyone agrees on. As in previous years, please don't post a mock in this thread. Keeping track of multiple mocks is impossible. If you don't like a draft or if you love a draft because of a specific player, just say so. Similar to before, I won't insert my wants or bias to the best of my ability. And Go!!

3-2 in 2025, should be 3-1 this year, that Week 1 loss to McCarthy still stings. Still feels great to get a win and go into the bye at 2-2.

  8. With Fields injury up in the air, the Bears may have to start Siemian against a top 5 defense in the Jets. The Jets could put a QB off the street and score 20 against the Bears. I doubt the Bears muster more than a FG if Siemian starts, and probably no more than 17 if Fields does. The line is -4.5 right now but that will shoot up if Fields doesn't play. A good bet for Jets + the under. I am saying 30-3 if Siemian starts, 27-17 if Fields starts.

If we can sign either one of the two guards Moore or Boothe, re-sign Urlacher & Roach what do we do in the draft?

Well, we're 2 pre-season games into the new season and we seem to have more questions than we may have initially thought... I also have noticed an abundance of "I told you so's" and "don't be negative's" flowing quite heavily. Heck, I'm personally guilty of both things to some degree! I was one of many who claimed that we shouldn't go so heavy after OL in the draft. While I thought we would make splashes in FA (Faneca), I was still sure the OL wouldn't be that much of an issue. Man, was I wrong! I've already posted about eating my plate of crow... Also, I've been quite harsh on the management and coaching staff. While I still am unsatisfied...I'll simply curb …

I hate to say it to this board.........but I told you so that the Bears were going to win this game. Jones & Forte rush for over 150 yards, defense scores 9 points, Gould 2 for 2 in field goals no fumbles lost or interceptions throw by Orton, the defense gave up 50 yards rushing. Bears Offense 20 Colts 13 =WIN! Bears defeense 9 Colts defense 0 = WIN!

Well, this guy has shown that he can tackle. However, he is FAAAR from replacing Vasher in the lineup. The dude has no ball skills and cannot make the simplest of interceptions. Ryan made several looping throws that should have been easily picked off if the CB made a better adjustment to the ball. It was very frustrating to watch. We need our boys back. As much as we've been hearing from Lovie about our backup CBs, these dudes didn't impress at all.

http://chicagobearsfanforum.com/blog/?p=253 The Bears * The Sun-Times’ Mike Mulligan isn’t buying into any reasons for optimism right now. With Mark Bradley out he would certainly seem to have a point. He sees little reason to have any faith in Brandon Lloyd given his history. He also points out that a lighter Cedric Benson doesn’t necessarily mean good things for a power running game. I have to say that I agree with the first but I do have some hope for Benson. I really don’t think those 10 pounds he lost are going to make that much difference in his power and he did look out of shape last year. Hey, its May. Let the optimism last whil…
