This is a good summary of some flags on players that teams will be watching closely at the combine. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/nf...s-measurements/

Christian McCaffrey is killing it, definitely a first round lock. Hopefully more RBs go in the first, which would be helpful for the Bears 2nd round pick.

The Combine starts up this weekend, so get ready for some drooling over potential prospects that the Bears may covet. Here is my list of prospects I will try to watch: Round One prospects in our reach Gabe Carimi OT Wis - 6-7 315 35-1/4 arm Little raw to play LT, but is a beast in the run game. Has potential to be a great RT. Gabe will probably get drafted a few slots ahead of the Bears, but he has to be on the Bears war room board. He can solidify the RT and improve the run game. The Bears may be hesitate to take another RT project since they like the potential of JaMarcus Webb. Nate Solder OT Colorado - 6-8 314 35" arm Since he struggled …

Never heard of this guy but then again I'm not doing any research on QBs this year. https://www.walterfootball.com/combine2020blog.php Florida International quarterback James Morgan was another quarterback multiple team sources said impressed them. Morgan has a live arm, and he did a very good job of throwing the ball accurately with velocity during the field workout at the combine, building on his strong week at the East-West Shrine. Team sources said that Morgan also interviewed well with teams. A number of teams are showing a lot of interest in Morgan, including the Bears, Packers, Buccaneers, Jets, Panthers and Colts. I see poor mechanics when …

Figure I'd start a new thread just to capture some combine players who stood out to me. I haven't watched everything from day 1 yet and most of these guys I'll have to go find some film on. DT Dante Stills. Smooth athlete, maybe a bit of a tweener but could be a good depth option on day 3. DT. Calijah Kancey ran a 4.67 forty. I wish he'd done the drills to see how fluid he was but just watching him run you can tell he's a good athlete. Stay tuned for his pro day. DT. Bresee. ran well, big dude. Looked a bit stiff running the hoops but looked more fluid in the other bag drills. Edge: Nolan Smith running a 4.39 forty and a 41in v…

Anything going on of interest? Looks like we have the fastest WR group (ever) with a ton of guys at 4.4 and below. I doubt Olave drops to 39 but some other guys around him surprised with some fast numbers.

  19. I was looking over some stats and noticed a few things that got me excited. Regardless of what you may think, the Bears are closer to the 2022 Eagles than they are to the 2022 Bears this year. Jalen Hurts was in his 3rd year and finally broke thru with a new WR1 in AJ Brown. He ended the year with the following line: Passing: 306-460, 66.5%, 3701 yds, 22 TD, 6 INT; Rushing: 165 ATT, 760 yds, 13 TD If you simply give Fields the same number of attempts for both passing and rushing, his numbers (from 2022 w/o Moore) would look like this: Passing: 277-460, 60.4%, 3243 yds, 25 TD, 16 INT; Rushing: 165 ATT, 1179 yds, 9 TD Outside of the INTs, that is…

The draft pool just got a little more crowded, as usual the Packers, Patriots, and Ravens are up there. If Pace keeps drafting well, one day we may see the Bears back on this list. http://www.thescore.com/news/980601
