  1. Since it's a division rival I figured this mattered enough for its own thread.

Cutler has to play better. He looked lost today. He seemed to have the Grossman on NYE mentality today--the "f*** it, this game is meaningless" mentality. Hopefully he brings it in 2 weeks. Not to make excuses, but maybe Bennett is that valuable. Knox, Hester, and Olsen never make a catch that they shouldn't. Forte played well again. He's definitely a secret weapon going into the playoffs. Why did Martz shy away from Forte running it (again)? Stupid coaching there. The OL was beat on numerous times today. It's bad when Garza is turning his head on blitzes and Manumaleuna can't keep Woodson in front of him. Peppers has gone 2 straight games now where he…

Much of this has been hit upon, so forgive my rant... 1. WTF w/ stopping running? Forte was on fire, then we ge pass happy. Martz better figure this out in 2 weeks. 2. Why does Smith do things that constantly piss me off? THe time out... Just when I want to give the guy a chance, he does something to annoy me. 3. Our O line was garbage. Omiyale was blown up more than Quagmire's sex doll... Webb too. And Garza... Just piss poor as we watch Cutler get pounded at least 6 times. 4. Jay, please throw the freaking ball away sometimes. You know your line is ass...play smarter. Also, no more lame duck passes in the red zome that even I could pick…

http://bearingthenews.com/?p=337 Game Comments: Bears Vs. Packers, January 2, 2011 Posted on January 3, 2011 by Tom Shannon Defense • The Bears defense came out with all of the starters and they apparently came to play. For the most part they played fast and down hill. • The defense came out mixing it up and blitzing early. They did less blitzing as the game wore on. • The Bear defense had a bit of a problem when the Packer offense played their 22 personnel (2 backs, 2 wide receivers). They couldn’t stop the run out of this formation without an eighth guy in the box but they also didn’t like leaving their corners in single high man coverage. …

The defending champs get to go across the country on a short week to Seattle, and GB goes to Philly. If Seattle wins, I'll be cheering so hard for Green Bay. But really, NO is going to beat Seattle by atleast 2 TD's, and I like Philadelphia over the Pack. Predictions?

With the Bears winning the NFC North, and coming in as the #2 seed into the playoffs with a bye, what would they have to do to deem this season as a success?

  14. The Bears are expected to schedule a workout with Andy Fantuz (6-foot-4, 220 pounds), who led the Canadian Football League in receiving (87 receptions, 1,380 yards, six TDs) last season.

Help the coaches teach this oline how to block and pickup blitzes!!! With our Defense all we need is for the offense to move the ball and score a couple of TD'S and superbowl here we come Oh and help martz contain his urge to want to throw on every down!

As bad as we have looked in 2 of our losses (NYG and GB), we were still in both games. vs NYG - 9 sacks in the 1st half yet we were only down 3-0 at the half vs GB - 6 sacks and an Offensive Offense and we only lost 10-3 Even vs Dallas when we got our asses handed to us on the first couple of series, we buckled down, adjusted, and got the win. I am very optimistic going into the playoffs. Our Defense is playing well, even if we didn't get the pressure on Rodgers we wanted, we still held them to 10. I am going to say something that I hope I won't regret...I have faith in Martz, Tice, and Lovie to fix the problems that occured against GB. I believe our lin…

  20. Started by jason,

Watching the highlight video of all his returns, and listening to Joniak make the Gale Sayers comparison, got me to thinking... Is Devin Hester already a HOF Candidate? He has literally changed the game. To me, his impact is similar to Lawrence Taylor's. Because of LT, teams now teach the tomahawk chop for the ball, and teams put a premium on LTs. The game changed as a result of his play. Can't the same be said of Hester? Has the game not changed when the Bears play? I have never seen teams purposely kick out of bounds to avoid a punt returner. I have never seen teams essentially give their opponents a 60 yard field on every kick off because the pooch i…
