http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,7544443.column What this is, if you don't want to click it, is pretty much David Haugh ripping Cutler. Now, I understand every QB has a bad game here and there, and I've been Cutler's BIGGEST supporter. At some point, however, when will he be considered a bust? Even when he had a great OL in Denver and made the Pro Bowl, he threw only 7 more TD's than INT's and made the PB because of an injury. The last 2 seasons, he's started out 3-1 and 3-0, and it's been downhill from there. How long do they give him? If he throws 8 more TD's the rest of the year and another 18 INT's, is this his last year? Do they give him next y…

  4. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=team...ts-2011-nfl-chi Thought this article was really good. Big talking point is that Cutler was quoted as saying the offensive side of the ball will be working with each other shortly. Basically that something is planned but he didn't get into specifics. Also has a ton of quotes related to the draft. Pretty solid off-season summary article in general.

http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/mul...lip=Y&rn=16 2 things: 1. It looks like he's having fun out there. When they were all throwing into the net from the goal post, he was slamming his hat down and laughing a little. That's good to see he's getting along with Hanie and Basanez. 2. The way the ball comes out of his hand is just so smooth and powerful. It seems like Basanez's throws take forever to get there, Hanie's are alright, and Cutler's are just on the money 100 mph.

Should be interesting to see how Jay does in Miami. I was looking forward to Thursday's broadcast. Will be interesting to see how "in it" Jay is. By all accounts he was very much enjoying retirement and spending time with his family. Presume the Miami situation was about the only situation which would have coaxed him out of retirement (since he can work with Gase again).

To all you Cutler bashers, Get a grip. The man tore his MCL and couldn't play. He got us to the NFC Championship after getting his ass kicked week in and week out. Cutler did not let us down. The only reason you are questioning his toughness is because whoever tell the FOX booth the status of injured players said his return was questionable. If they would have said he was out, there would be not a single discussion on the issue. FOX screwed the pooch by not fulfilling their media responsibility by replaying the injury. The man was hurt. If he could play, I have no doubt he would have been in there. You act like he didn't WANT to play. That is bullshit and you should …

What do you think about think? Also talks about training camp and how Zachary Bowman is going to be a beast!

Highlights: -Wished Waddle a happy birthday. -When asked about Vincent Jackson, he said any WR in FA over 6'2 would be nice. -Said the baby is due "late summer." -Really talked up Brandon Marshall again. -Claimed "the word on the street" is that Emery will add playmakers. -Loves the Bates hire and loves Tice as well (praised Lovie for their hires/promotions). -Called the Times and Trib "tabloids" which was funny. -Said he's only golfed one time this offseason. -Claimed he's been working out in Nashville and that he'll be throwing soon.

  15. From Kevin Seifert's NFC North blog: "For the purposes of this feature, however, we need to separate [Jay Cutler and Aaron Rodgers]. Beyond a team's final record, how can you judge whether a quarterback is a "winner?" One way is to analyze his performance in the fourth quarter, when many NFL games are decided. By this measure, at least, Cutler came out ahead in a 2008 comparison. Cutler ranked seventh among regular NFL starters last season with a 94.2 passer rating in the fourth quarter, according to STATS Inc. Rodgers ranked No. 13 at 87.8. For context, take a look at the sampling of fourth-quarter ratings below: Sampling of Fourth-quarter QB Performance…

Sounds like Jay Cutler suffered his 1st concussion when Greg Olsen whiffed on a block and Cutler got killed and fumbled the football. At least that is what all of the Chicago radio media seem to be reporting. Olsen had one of the worse games I've ever seen. He gave up a few sacks on his own, stopped running on multiple passes (2 of which led to picks). They were poor passes regardless, but at least one of them wouldn't have resulted in a pick had he not quit on the route. That would mean Cutler might have suffered a 2nd concussion on the hit he took on Ross at the end of the 2nd half. That is a pretty scary thing because all medical statistics state that the …

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/...ers-ripped-him/ Jay Cutler had tears in his eyes when told other players ripped him Posted by Michael David Smith on January 24, 2011, 8:45 AM EST Several NFL players took to Twitter on Sunday to rip Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, questioning his toughness for leaving the NFC Championship Game with a knee injury. A story written after the game by Jim Trotter of Sports Illustrated will do nothing to change that perception of Cutler. Although Trotter’s portrayal of Cutler is sympathetic — the headline is “Don’t question Cutler’s toughness” — Trotter offers a detail that is sure to add fuel to the fire for those …
