Check out this article link: Will James be back in 2008? Pure speculation, but if for cap reasons the Cards let James go, would the Bears be a contender for his services? Personally, I think the Cards will find a way to keep him, but he sure would look nice as our starter!!

I'm sure this will not come as a popular suggestion, but should the Bears consider trading Tommie Harris? The current club is not built to win now. We are missing a starting caliber QB, RB, 2 WRs, OG, RT, DT, and saftety (or two). Add to that our LT is getting up in years and losing effectiveness, we have major and numerous holes to fill. Particulary after the crazy contract Tommy Kelly got from the Raiders, Tommie Harris is going to look to make history with his next contract. He will want to eclipse what Freeney got, probably seeking to average 10-13 mil per year. Can we afford to tie up ~10% of the salary cap in one player when we have SO many holes to fill?…

The odds makers are pretty good at the spread and they are actually saying the Bears are favorites on a neutral field (3 pts the normal home field advantage bonus). It is going to be COLD on Saturday. Wind Chill temps between -10 and -15 at game time. Brutal conditions. The ground is going to be like concrete. Huge injury risk. I feel like this is going to be a ground and pound game with very little passing. Probably lower scoring than the line is at. I am thinking 16-14 or something ugly like that.

I know it isn't going to happen.... And I know most of you do not agree... But I sure wish the Bears would consider picking up Simms from TBB and have him as our #3 (he may be better than Rex or Kyle). I honestly think he is an outstanding young prospect at QB. Yes, he had a severe injury but it was a spleen, not a knee or shoulder, or ankle, etc... Last time I checked a spleen is not necessary to be a good QB, you do have to have a heart and a brain, that Simms has, along with, IMHO, talent.

Kellen Davis shows it all in this one. Route running, hands, agility, strength, elusiveness, speed. All he needs is more opportunities to catch the ball and show what he can do. In this highlight reel, he displays his talents even more. Pay careful attention to nasty one-hander at about 2:51. The Bears don't need another TE. They need to work with what they have and develop the obvious talent.

Early reports are it is a fractured clavical. I would presume Bears are going to give Earl Bennett a call.
