I'm sure this will not come as a popular suggestion, but should the Bears consider trading Tommie Harris? The current club is not built to win now. We are missing a starting caliber QB, RB, 2 WRs, OG, RT, DT, and saftety (or two). Add to that our LT is getting up in years and losing effectiveness, we have major and numerous holes to fill. Particulary after the crazy contract Tommy Kelly got from the Raiders, Tommie Harris is going to look to make history with his next contract. He will want to eclipse what Freeney got, probably seeking to average 10-13 mil per year. Can we afford to tie up ~10% of the salary cap in one player when we have SO many holes to fill?…

Not sure how it works with teams with worse records making the playoffs, but the Bears shouldn't be to much lower than the 16th pick. Here's what I'd like to see them draft. 1-16 Everette Brown DE FSU Bears sack totals have fallen off the charts and without pressure on the QB, this defense just will not work. As much as this trade has flip-flopped throughout the season, it seems to be a draw at this point. The QB's performed fairly evenly less Cutler's interceptions. Ayers was pretty much a non-factor, especially for the 18th overall pick. Knox was obviously a complete surprise and made significant contributions as a rookie with over 1,400 All-purpose yards and 6 TDs. Both teams missed the playoffs, so there is no real winner yet. The Broncos do hold the Bears 1st rounder in next year's draft, but they traded their own 1st rounder to Seattle. We need to scratch the cover 2. It's no longer an unknown defense because everybody knows about it now. Every single time we were in it, McNabb was gashing us for big yardage and so was Griese last week. I hate the cover 2, I think it's worthless at this point.. John Madden even said something about it yesterday, he thought they should scratch the cover 2 and the Orton bootleg. Thoughts, opinions?

Story Seems pretty devastating for the center position to go down, especially when we were really getting a small glimpse into some of the stable linemen we were gonna build for the future. I dont know much about Larsen, but can he play center?

I've been thrilled with everything I have read about this guy. Now with the possible problems of Benson (he hasn't been proved to be guilty of anything yet) I am THRILLED we selected him in rd 2. In an article by Brad Biggs he is stating Detroit was going to select him in rd 2 if we passed on him. So, as said before, if we felt this guy was the best "all-around" "3-down" "NFL-Ready" RB available, then we had to select him in rd 2 or we would not have gotten him PERIOD!

So it would either be CB-LB-S or S-LB-Other in the last 3 rounds.
