In the locker room, as per Michael C. Wright. I am sure we will find out soon. I wonder if it is players or coaches or both.

Jeff Dickerson, on AM1000 this morning, reported Orlando Pace was ready and wanting to play last week. The coaching staff told him that Williams will be starting the rest of the year. For some reason, I did not see this in the paper anywhere. Dickerson said it was something they were trying to keep quiet. Peace

Don't get me wrong, I hate the guy. He's a heartless robot. His teams run up the score and he's been caught cheating. But damn, I look at the scoreboard every week and it doesn't seem to matter how much talent he has left on the field. He loses his QB, no biggie. They march on. His won/loss record has to be right up there. He's won a number of championships and had the undefeated season going last year until the final game. I think his legacy is tainted by the cheating thing and the biggest choke of all time losing last year, but he's probably still going to finish up his career thought of as the best ever. This is "on topic" in that Papa Bear i…

We've drafted a CB who is going to immediately fit right into this backfield. He might not be the most athletic (maybe more quick than fast) but listen to Bryant McFadden talk about what he brings to the table. This kid will be playing early this season. This is the kind of CB you want playing behind a good pass rush.

Imagine if the Bears got Devin Hester in the right position from the get go. He's failed at DB and has never lived up to the #1 WR that the Bears envisioned. Maybe if he was used primarily out of the slot he'd do better, or maybe not. But I think using him like Darren Sproles would've been the best way to go. Return specialist and change of pace RB. Hub Arkish brought this up and I thought this would be an excellant thought to consider. RB is alot easier to learn and Devin should grasp it pretty quickly. He would probably be open more often than not coming out of the backfield and being a check down or screen option. Combine comparison of the two- Devin H…

Tell me...please. He did what you want: run, run, run. 35 runs, 20 passes. And the Bears offense looked like garbage for most of the game and got completely bailed out by the D/ST combo. The OL opened up very few holes. Cutler dropped back 19 times, got sacked twice, and had pressure several times. What is Martz supposed to do? Please enlighten me. Also, please be remotely consistent. You can't call for a 60/40 run to pass ratio, get it, and then act like Martz called some sort of horrible game. The Lions loaded up to stop the run. Period. You can only call so many screens and draw plays (pssst...those plays didn't work today). This is a gameplan othe…

These are the guys who I watched play and think are NFL caliber players that are not being talked about as much as they should be. The list: Quarterbacks Brian Johnson Utah -his Height and durabilty are in question but he has taken snaps for 4 years and if you saw how he performed in the Sugar Bowl against Alabama you would think he has an ability to develop on the next level. Drew Willy Buffalo- his level of competition is in question but IMO he is a more polished prospect than the much more heralded Nate Davis of Ball State from the same conference(MAC). Mike Reilly Central Washington- his school alone and its location makes him over looked and at the S…

  11. So I totally forgot about the 3rd WC slot (the same one the Bears slipped into last year). The difference this year is the 17th game. The extra game for the Bears was LVR, for the Vikings, it's the LAC. That extra game may end up being the difference in making the playoffs or not this year. At this point, if the Bears can survive to the bye, with TB, SF at home, and PIT (MNF) in the next 3, they have a much more favorable schedule down the stretch. They have to win one, but two puts their odds of making the playoffs very high. If you consider TB a loss (3-4), then SF a win (at home) - SF plays SNF against IND at home. With a loss against the Colts, they could co…

Statement made? Jimmy is gone and Fales is new backup. Gotta draft a solid QB to groom next year, oh, unless Fales has something we don't know.

Packers cut Josh Sitton after failing to trade him With question marks around K Long's shoulder, in order to return Lawson to Center, I would not mind seeing the Bear's signing Sitton. I think he would be a valuable spot starter and depth for the OL. However, I would not be surprised if GB resigns him at a lower contract number.

  17. I thought I read someone post about the Bears putting in a bid to buy the Arlington International Racecourse as a possible location to build a new stadium but I don't see it. I'm sure most if not all of you are aware of the story. There are some fans upset saying that they don't want the Bears renamed the Arlington Heights Bears.???? I don't understand where they are coming from. The Dallas Cowboys Stadium is located in Arlington, Texas, and they remain the DALLAS Cowboys, not the Arlington Cowboys. I'm sure there are other examples. I see no reason to believe the Bears would change their name. Agree?

I've been through too many seasons recently with our Oline under-performing and after last nights game I'm done with it. Last year Lovie made a lot of changes but he forgot one and left this guy in place and that's because he's Ron Turner's buddy; came over with him from Univ of Illinois. I called for his head last year when he was whining about how the fans don't know what's going on and the Oline played poorly. He basically said they weren't that bad. I think it's clear he doesn't know what's going on or his standards for success on plays is extremely low. Fans, including those on this message board, continue to say we have poor talent but we keep throwing guys int…

I feel pretty confident stating that today is plretty much playing out what the vast majority of us expected to happen. And it's pretty muc Turner as scapegoat, and lame duck Lovie for at least 1 more year...2 if the planets align. In the meantime, we give Jay 4 OC's in probably 5 years. 3 line coaches for Williams...etc. This just delays the inevitable. It's the hallmark of a family run business. I'm not sure Smith is kept on so much for the loot, but I think becasue old Virgiania just likes Smith as a person. Too bad she is not a football person and can't see he is not a good HC. Well, given what we're expecting to hear at the conference today, my …
