He did not get screwed. He's a big boy getting paid $16 million this year to do a job. He'll be fine. http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/mike-gl...bisky-pick/amp/ Peace

I am elated that the bears are so aggressive. However, I remember not too long ago when I and most other members here were asking for Lovie's head. Then when turner was let go and marinelli was made D coach it seemed that we were accepting that Lovie was a lame duck coach with the rest of his staff. If no playoffs then he goes and someone like Cowher would come in. That made sense. Then we hire martz who's approach is the antithesis of someone like cowher. We bring in Maleuna who is nothing like Olsen (high draft pick). Then we add Peppers who is a great 4-3 DE and not a pure fit for a 3-4. It is like we are adding pieces for the future. To summarize Parcell's an…

For the record, the offense was terrible. I realize that. But I am getting tired of this D getting a pass, or some saying they played well. Maybe if we compare this game to the cincy or Az games, then sure, they played well. But only if we set the bar that low. On the ground, this unit should be embarrassed. Yet another week where a RB puts up season best numbers. Hell, KC did a better job holding McCoy than we. I am sure Lovie will crow about holding McCoy under 100 yards since he only had 99. Oh yea. And a 5 ypc avg. And we gave up a total of 157 rushing yards on the day. D.Jackson has not gone for 100 yards since week 3, but found little trouble a…

@ChicagoBears: #Bears have reached agreement with Ed Donatell to become their new DBs coach. He replaces Jon Hoke, who has been informed he won't return. This is a great move. Widely regarded as one of the top secondary coaches in the league.

took part in one, picked @ 4, heres how I did 1. Ray Rice (Bal - RB) 2. Miles Austin (Dal - WR) 3. Tom Brady (NE - QB) 4. C.J. Spiller (Buf - RB) 5. Visanthe Shiancoe (Min - TE) 6. Robert Meachem (NO - WR) 7. Justin Forsett (Sea - RB) 8. Golden Tate (Sea - WR) 9. Austin Collie (Ind - WR) 10. Lee Evans (Buf - WR) 11. LaDainian Tomlinson (NYJ - RB) 12. bronco uniforms look like roller derby uniforms, for real!

Sorry guys. But, I'm tired of Angelo's history of trading down in attempt to stockpile 7th round picks who don't make the team or never make an impact. Can we get a real guy, please? What's wrong with trading UP every now and then to get a legitimate impact player? It takes absolutely no courage to trade down. I heard we'll possibly go as low as 42. Really??? Just in time to ensure all top-tier O-linemen are gone. Ditto for DL and CB. But hey, we may be able to get another 3rd level, 5'8 WR! What a joke!

I wonder if the Bears are interested in him?

Donte Stallworth, current NE WR, now an UFA. He'd look good in our WR core if Berrian leaves. However, if NE loses Moss, I think they'll sign Stallworth. He'd be their #1/#2 Anyways, what do you think of this possibility? He'll 28 next November, which is pretty decent. I'd give him 3-4 years...

These two players have been released by the Browns. Whitner has a history with Fangio and is just turning 31 this summer. If we cut Rolle there is no dead money on the cap. He is 3 years younger and was successful under Fangio. I would go for that change in our DB field. Also Ekpre-Olomu is released coming off a major injury. He has youth and upside on the side of signing him. I am all in on that signing also.

Link Cross another WR off the list.

Man, the computer is as dopey as me this morning! Please, one of the admins, drop the senseless copies of my post.

Thayer listed the things he'll be watching for during training camp. One thing caught my eye, a very welcome sight indeed is that our Dline is learning to use counter moves on their pass rush. We've all been asking for this for years and perhaps it has finally arrived. If true, just the fact that we mix up the pass rush angles and moves will make our Dline more effective. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2009/07/1_...tom_thayer.html There will be a good deal of focus on the secondary and rightfully so. Cornerback Charles Tillman will be an onlook…

Zach Zaidman (sp?) who is the SCORE Bears reporter and WBBM's sideline reporter during the games believes that the Bears will keep on 2 QBs on the roster and try to get Hanie on the practice squad. His thought is the roster spot that is eaten by Williams will be used to keep another offensive lineman and thus the Bears will only be able to keep 2 Qbs on the roster. Peace

He says he wants a chance to be the DC for the Bears. He's a free agent now that the season is over and loves the Bears and would love to come home.

Worked with Jay in the past and Jay publicly campaigned to bring him aboard back in 2012. It would appear that Jay is here at least another year. I'm guessing Fox has sat down with Jay and his name came up. *Sits back and waits for catering to Jay comments*

We are under two weeks until the 2014 draft kicks off. The long wait will soon be over. Time to be bold and make some predictions. Who do you think the Bears will draft? You can predict one pick or all 7. Here is my take: Rd1. RaShede Hageman DT- I don't think Donald will get by 12. Hageman is still learning, athletically gifted, and has size. Rd2. Deonne Buccanon S - size, speed, and a need Rd3. Pierre Desir CB- lengthy small school talent with great understanding of work ethic Rd4. Shayne Skov LB- hard nosed LB that makes plays. One yr removed from injury and getting legs back Rd5. Walt Aikens CB- loading up on small school DBs, one will emerge Rd6. De…

Given that I know virtually nothing about the current crop of draft prospects...here's what I'd like to see happen, all else being equal. RD1-2 - D line and O line - either or, BPA RD 3 - WR - someone with serious potential. Big target. If the WR is in the 1st or 2nd, then OL/DL here RD 4- DB - We need depth RD 5 - LB - more depth RDs6 -7 - I really don't care...just BPA or whatever whim Emery has. I just think we need to bolster both lines...and grab a WR prospect. Everything else is depth, ST, or dumb luck we can find a diamond in the rough. I can't see Emery reaching... If we can get out with contributors on both lines and a WR that has po…
