I don't mind it, but with Vereen there, I would've rather have seen a Safety.

Sort of shocking considering most guys with first round grades were still on the board, and Courtland Sutton went one pick after us to the Broncos. So hopefully Daniels becomes a perennial starter and helps anchor the interior. I would've personally moved down and accumulated picks (if possible). There was a run on OLINE (3 in 5 picks) so I am sure that had something to do with it.

  3. Bears favored by 10 on the road. The Bills defense is very good but their offense is arguably one of the worst in the league. They have scored 37 points in their last 5 games (averaging just over 7 per game) and are coming off a MNF loss to NE. In contrast, the Bears have scored less than 23 once (in a 16-14 win). Just based on averages, we should be winning this 24-10 in a game comparable to last week. It's all about taking away McCoy. Hopefully, our LB's neutralize him out of the backfield. Sunday weather looks like it is going be partly sunny and in the mid to high 40's. Winds will be around 10 mph. So weather should not be any worse than last week. …

I'm very concerned with this team's well being right now. If you ask Lovie, "we're 3-1 in the first quarter" of the season. The way I see it- the Bears have the worst OL in the history of history. The way this franchise has put together a team is laughable. They trade an adequate QB, 2 first round picks and a 3rd round pick for Jay Cutler. They invest $22m per season in this franchise QB. They pay d**k in guys who could be even described as "average" offensive linemen and instead sign guys who should be working construction. I'm confused. Yet, the Packers have a franchise QB, and they draft a guy like Bryan Bulaga to improve the OL both now AND in the future. They ha…

Matt Forte is a stud. I loved this guy coming out and he reminds me of Brian Westbrook- he can catch it and run it, and he could have 3 TDs so far rushing. This guy is going to be our back for a long time now, barring injuries. Thoughts?

Texans evidently interested. @JaysonBraddock: There's been speculation that Martellus Bennett could be had. Local kid & skillset fits perfectly for what Texans need & only 1 healthy TE.

  10. Started by jason,

I was doing a mock draft and somehow Jalen Ramsey fell to the Bears at 11. Is that reasonable at all? Looking at the draft, I see the following teams ahead of us with a potential CB need: DAL - Former 1st rounder Morris Claiborne, Orlando Scandrick coming back. BAL - They need CB, but their OL was a mess last year and Flacco was hurt as a result PHI - They need CB, but Elliott makes a lot of sense for them, and they moved up for a reason TB - CB is a need, but they signed Robinson and Grimes. WR makes sense since VJax is older, due big $, and injury prone. The draft could conceivably play out like this: 1.TEN-Tunsil 2.CLE-Wentz 3.SD-Bosa 4…

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,4080152.column I like what I am reading. I was wondering how he would outwardly deal with all the "goings on" in his life as of late. It looks like we have an idea and perhaps, an answer.

The NFL and media have fallen in love with the passing game in recent years but this year the playoffs are proving that you can still win by running the ball. The Titans have taken down the Patriots and Ravens behind a middling QB, a strong running game/Oline, and a strong defense. We have two of those pieces. FWIW the Ravens got to the 1 seed by running. We all know we need the Oline fixed but we also must find a good RB to compliment Montgomery. A RB with some speed. Then we need someone to call the running plays.

  18. How about grabbing the center from the Saints , but we would have to give up our 2nd round pick. That would give us the option and move Garza back to LG. Brown should be developed by the time Garza quits. Just a thought.

If Briggs is out for this game, and we play Cato June at WLB rather than Williams, I will be ticked. It isn't that I think June couldn't contribute. Heck, he may be better than Williams. But we are out of the playoff hunt, and we need to be looking at our young players wherever we can. Briggs injury gives us an opportunity to see what Williams can do. At this point, getting playing time for the younger players, and seeing if they have a future w/ the team, is a hell of a lot more important than any contribution a player like June, who is a stop gap fill in, could provide. If Williams can't handle the duties at WLB, then we need to know. I have no expect…
