Pompei makes the argument that while Cutler has an incredible arm, he is also going to throw picks. In general, I agree w/ this. QBs w/ strong arms and aggressive instincts are simply put going to throw more picks. That is simply how it is. However, the idea is they will also throw more TDs, thus throwing (for example) one pick per game is not really that painful. What bothers me though is more in his reasoning than his argument in general. He makes the case that, to date, Cutler has played in 37 games and thrown a total of 37 interceptions. With the announcement of his 6th missed game, it is hard for me to see the Bears paying him Top 5 WR money or even franchising him for $12mil. The franchise number is skewed because of Megatron's ridiculous deal which looks even worse today (2016 cap hit $24mil). I think I would be ok with something under $10mil for a couple of years, but even $10mil a year would put him 11th overall. Is he worth it, especially considering the injury history? What is up with the blowouts this season? Yesterday's games were decided by 16 and 18 pts and could've been higher if Atlanta didn't take a knee at the 1. In the Wild Card weekend, the closest game was 13 featuring Osweiler and Cook. The others were just as bad. Detroit scored 6 pts, GB won by 25 and Pittsburgh was up 30-6 with 6 mins left in the game.

It only took Turner 14 games to call a good game. And how did it happen so far? Stretch plays and runs to the outside were added in, deep crosses, and then the play action pass was thrown in. Oh, and what play resulted in a ridiculously easy TD? That's right, the old play action pass, roll out pass to the WIDE OPEN TE. It is not rocket science folks; every team in the NFL has been using that play successfully for quite some time. Glad Turner finally caught on to the obvious. Now if Lovie could only create a defensive adjustment that didn't completely suck.

Watching the game today and saw Clark sitting on the sideline. Noticed him sitting there before and wonder if anyone knows what has happened to him? I'm a fan as he used to be the "go-to" guy for a couple years and suddenly nothing. With Frazier rumored to be on the hot seat, he would be a better candidate to run the Bears defense than Ryan.IMO He is familiar with the division and has run successful defenses in Minnesota in a 4-3. If he takes the heat for the Vikings drop off in play this year he will be in demand as a coordinator.

Jonathan Vilma according to ESPN and many other sources was given permission to seek a trade to anyone besides the Patriots. I for one am a huge fan of Vilma and thinks he would be amazing alongside Urlacher. Although you would be moving him from his MLB position to an OLB position but with his skill and youth I really think he would still shine in Chicago.
