With the media furore and the fans venting their frustration I hope whoever makes the decisions after the season is over does it rationally and without emotion. The first thing that should be considered is do we want to go through a Chicago Cubs rebuild i.e. Get rid of Emery, Trestman, coaches and playing staff because if they clean house from top to bottom then whoever comes in will change the players. Looking at this revised big board by Matt Miller I would gladly trade back both of our 2nd Rd picks or one to get 4 picks in top 100. I could be very happy with various combinations of players available between 50 and 100. Say Cleveland wants to get another early 2nd Rd pick at 43 (470pts) and gives us both of their 3rd Rd picks (220/140pts) plus their 4th Rd pick (70pts). We then have 50, 74, 90, and 112 plus our own 4th Rd pick at 144. Then HOU trades with us for 50 giving us 58 and 101. It's a bit in our favor but if they don't give 101 they could give 108. The tribune is reporting that the Bears have moved starting RG Robeto Garza to LG and for the last few practices have had Lance Louis running at RG. IMO Louis at TC when I was there looked very athletic even doing sommersaults as he hit the blocking dummies but I think this is based on his agressiveness because as I described in my TC post there was a skirmish between an OL and DL and he was the OL in the middle of it. My guess is Orton shines big in this game. Last week was a great confidence builder and he will use a lot of 3 step drops to get em to recievers. Both tight ends will shine because of the 3 step drops. Look for multiple TD's from them. Hester will break one on a recieveing play deep. It will have to happen to keep the D honest. I think Mckie will have a real tough game. His blocking will be key in the running game and I think he will get blown up. Babitch could have a real bad called game here. He will keep 7 in the box close but not close enough, if he doesnt call this game perfect we could be in for long day.

Last week, there was some discussion as to Hester's value, and how it may stack up against Berrian, on the field and financially. W/o getting into the on field contributions, I was thinking about the contracts now that Hester has signed. Berrian signed a 6 year deal. Hester signed a 4 yr extension on a deal w/ 2 years remainings, thus essentially a 6 year deal. Berrian's deal has a max value of $42m. Hester's deal has a max value of $40m. 1. Deangelo Hall - Is it me or is this guy a total wash? He has called out so many recievers and they destroy him. Not to mention ive never seen him do anything worthy of the praise he gets (kinda like a RB i know in Chicago). I honestly would take Vasher or Tillman over him any day of the week. 2. Watching NFL Total Access this AM Terrell Davis states in a very positive manner that the Bears will lose this Sunday and our season will end. Guess we should just rest our starters and mail this one in.

Has he had a running game all year? Has he had a TE all year? Nagy added to the complexity of the game plan without the benefit of crucial components and work in pre season games. Here's what I think he needs: 1) new OC, someone who understands running game and play action. Trubisky has shown good accuracy on throws under 20. Watching the replay on NFLN this morning, I noticed how well rounded Forte's game really is right now as a rookie. I love how he always falls forward when running but what I really liked was his pass blocking. I only saw him whiff on a block once, the rest of the time he was picking up blitzes like a pro. My favorite Forte play though was on the interception. He never gave up on the play and ran down their corner and tackled him hard. Our defense came out and held them to a FG instead of what looked to be an easy defensive TD. I also want to recognize Idonije who continues to play his ass off despite not getting too many accolades in the press.
