The way I see it there are 12 realistic DL combinations right now: 1 Allen Ratliff Sutton 2 Allen Ratliff McDonald 3 Allen Ratliff Young 4 Sutton Ratliff McDonald 5 Sutton Ratliff Young 6 Young Ratliff McDonald 7 Allen Ego Sutton 8 Allen Ego McDonald 9 Allen Ego Young 10 Sutton Ego McDonald 11 Sutton Ego Young 12 Young Ego McDonald If Allen happens to stand up as an OLB, then that narrows things down on the DL, but it severely muddies the waters at OLB. However, here are the potential LB combos: 1 Allen Bostic Greene McPhee 2 Allen Bostic Jones McPhee 3 Allen Bostic Foster McPhee 4 Allen Greene Jones McPhee 5 Allen Green…

So I was looking up some stats and found a pretty wild one. There is one player in NFL history to have 5 INTs, 15 sacks, 20 PDs, and over 300 solo tackles in his first 3 seasons. He had 6 INTs, 18.5 sacks, 20 PDs, 306 solo tackles, plus 44 TFLs, 4 FF, and 5 FR, and 1 TD in his first 3 years. I was honestly shocked that he was the only player to achieve this, and is still the only player to date. Since TFLs were not recorded properly until the 2000s, I didn't use that in the search, but that would've made it even more inclusive of a club. Just off the top of your head, who do you think it would be?

Like others here, I've started to look to the draft and we've seen a lot of names thrown out. Any guys that are potential targets for the Bears you really want them to stay away from? I'll start: Jon Baldwin, WR, Pitt. Seems like the big WR the Bears need and may be around when the Bears pick in the first, but he doesn't make anyone miss, looks like a TE when he runs, and he body-catches way too much (even when he catches with his hands, he seems to need to hold the ball against his body to steady it). Mix in attitude/maturity concerns and I'm out. I'm also weary of Mike Pouncey in the first. I think if his name was Mike Jones, he'd be a third round pick.

He's here tonight and tomorrow which is interesting and I'm sure Jason is happy to see this. I expect somewhere in this trip he'll spend some time with Eddie Jackson. As a player I view him as better in coverage than Amos but not as good at tackling. HHCD had his fair share of coverage lapses too but he's a better playmaker when the ball is in the air. In that sense he always seemed to be more of a FS than SS and Jackson is not leaving that role. If Pagano wants multiple inside-the-numbers coverage options behind his blitz schemes he'll have them with HHCD, Jackson, Skrine, Roquan, Floyd, and Trevathan. What he's looking for in his next contract is hard to gue…

https://bearswire.usatoday.com/2020/06/23/former-chicago-bears-safety-ha-ha-clinton-dix-had-close-encounter-with-two-live-bears/. Im sure most have seen this. But I have two questions. Where are there streets like that, is it his driveway? Car parked in middle, bicycles all over just leaning up. And what is a grown NFL player doing riding a kids scooter. Not a bicycle, skateboard. I little scooter.

Chicago Bears: Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has allowed a passer rating of just 52.9 on throws into his primary coverage since 2014, which is the best mark among all safeties in that time. Green Bay Packers: A staggering 47.1% of Adrian Amos‘ career targets have resulted in either a defensive stop or a forced incompletion. This defensive success rate is currently tied with Charles Woodson for the best mark by a safety in the PFF era. From PFF Why stats and how they are reported can give me a headache. Why not just compare the same stats in the same story?

Another FA WR option gone: from PFT: HACKETT LANDS IN CAROLINA Posted by Mike Florio on March 17, 2008, 12:19 p.m. The Carolina Panthers continue to load up on pass catchers who might benefit from all the attention that Steve Smith receives. After bringing back Muhsin Muhammad, the team has now added D.J. Hackett, formerly of the Seattle Seahawks. Per Adam Schefter of NFL Network and Adam Caplan of Scout.com, Hackett will sign a two-year, $3.5 million deal with the Panthers. Hackett has shown flashes of ability during his NFL career, but that potential wasn’t enough to get a team to open its wallet wider than $1.75 million per year. Other t…

With 2 grown sons with lives of their own it was extremely cool to hangout with them at Soldier's Field Sat Nite. The practice was crisp and high-paced. Looked like a lot of work was done on working the edges and what looked like a turn in slant that almost resembles a Wr screen. The WR that is on the roster that I believe should get a shot at the spot that Marquiss Wilson was holding is Spurlock he looked decent in the practice Sat Nite. I'm not surprised that wilson got hurt because he was on the field for a lot of drills including special teams. Speaking of special teams Pat O'Donnell does have a big leg and averaged 60 yds on kicks but was concentrating a lot on direc…

I'd have to check to see for sure, but it occured to me how fragile our position maybe really is. Had Detroit been given the win on that end zone catch at the beginning of the season, we finish with the same record as GB, meaning GB probably wins the tiebreaker and we have to get a wildcard, which we would have lost to NO's better record and the Giants who destroyed us head-to-head. In other words, that one call was the difference in us missing the playoffs/Lovie maybe losing his job and our sitting pretty against the Seahawks in Round2. A game of inches indeed. Again, I'd have to check to see for sure because in that scenario, but GB and the Bears would have the …

Lovie and Emery have repeatedly defended Webb despite his continued folly, but the happy facade is starting to crack. Asked if the Bears would consider a change, Smith revealed the true feelings of the inner circle: "if there's someone who can improve us we're going to look at it seriously." Despite a subpar Pro Day, Martin is a player that would have to make the Bears reconsider their situation.
