Just wanted to throw out an update I read about Nicks. Parcells and Sporano went to NC to hold a private workout w/ Nicks. That alone is somewhat newsworthy as Parcells rarely travels for such visits. Thus, if you believe Parcells is a good talent evaluator, this may mean something. At the workout, Nicks weight 216, which is 10 lbs less than what he weighed at the schools pro day and w/ in 2 lbs of his combine weight. The Bears are now halfway through the 2016 season and are currently sitting on the 4th pick for the 2017 NFL draft. As of today if the Bears were picking now, this would be my draft. I did go heavy in the Defensive backfield, but that is were the Bears are the thinnest today. I would like to dip a little higher on another OT, but followed a fanspeak mock and none of the prospects interested me when the picks came up. 1. The Bears play a football game in two weeks. Obviously this game is going to be 90% backups and bottom of the roster guys, but we might see some rookies for a couple of plays. I can't believe we are only two weeks away. We made it!

I heard him on 720 after the game and he said that he has a source that says Fox has more control in the organization than Pace. This guy was ranked the 3rd best FA S by walterfootball, and from what I've heard/seen, he still has not been signed. I'd love to add this guy for about 4 years, $16 million, which could essentially save us the need to draft a S in round 3.
