The Chicago Bears have hired John DeFilippo to be the new QB coach. Dave Ra-gone is not gone but now a passing coordinator.

So I've taken enough potshots at other people's mocks (all constructive criticism, I promise) - I figured it was time to let you guys tee off on two of mine. As a caveat, I used Draft Tek's big board as a reference. Their mocks are suspect sometimes, but their big board is usually pretty good. Each one of my choices is a guy who Draft Tek has projected to be available somewhere around that pick. Dez Clark refused to do interviews on the air (AM 1000 ESPN) because he reached out to the Bears and they have not returned his calls after the the signing of the TE today. He said as much in intervieiews after the season that he thought he could be replaced and with him already recieving a 475,000 dollar roster bonus and only due 1.5 mil he shouldn't be a cap casualty this year but it may come down to keeping him or Olsen.

Just reported on the Score that the Bears have brought in Ken Lucas CB from the Panthers to Halas Hall. With all the news of players reporting, I wonder what the Bears have up their sleeves???

I know BEARSDABOMB, Butkus, and a few other posters have touched on this... But it looks painfully obvious that this Bears team under Smith (and Angelo) seem to rest on their laurels. THey are all going about saying they are better than what we saw, that they are vets,yadda yadda yadda. Bottom line, that was then, this is now...and this is now started last season. This D is bad. Not even medicore. Bad. Only Mike Brown seems man enough to admit to such.

Will he wear #20 didn't we have a Jones wearing this number and do pretty well, or #32.maybe not to curse him, but what is your guess since.........uummm#34 will never be worn again.

A Pittsburgh Steelers fan almost died, after he says a Chicago Bears fan poisoned him. Steelers fan Zack Heddinger of Pittsburgh is now blind and has brain damage. I just want to say thanks to all of you posters here on this site...I love what you are saying and thinking about our beloved Bears. I just want to add this........are we making the best changes with what we are doing??? I think this team is now going in the right positive direction. Bush, Campbell, Marshall, Thomas, Weems for the offense to play with. Now I still see us drafting a OT/OG and WR this year to finish out this process. But the defense will get addressed during the draft....maybe we are going to draft a DE, CB and LB........we need to if not planned.
