Seems appropriate...Alshon should have gone as well, I think. But his time will come! Marshall got in due to a great year and his reputation.

when i talk about bad i don't mean just bad, i mean historically bad. some of/the worst in NFL history and THE worst in chicago bear history. 2012 new orleans saints allowed more yards in one season than any team in NFL history. total yards 7042 passing yards - 4681 rushing - 2361 - 5.2 YPA steve spagnuolo DC - FIRED after one season of badness 1981 baltimore colts - mike mccormack - defensive minded head coach - FIRED after his 2nd season as HC. total yards - 6793 passing yards - 4128 rushing yards - 2665 - 4.4 YPA the chicago bears after 15 games with mel tucker as our defensive coordinator total yards after 15 games - 5840 …

PLAYOFFS START SUNDAY!!!! Now we start our first payoff game at home with the Packers. I think we win this game for a few reasons. 1. We are at home 2. Its lose or go home 3. Cutler has a real reason to be motivated to win since the last NFC North Champ game we lost, also this is make or break for Cutler as far as contract goes. Hopefully he can pull a Flacco like last 4. Rodgers will be back.....but will be gun shy and rusty, Lacy is banged up, Matthews, Jolly are out and Briggs is back 5. Everyone is picking the Packers.....fueling the pissed off mentality the Bears should have to prove them wrong. One question....if we win and the Cowboys win …

read this on the nfl.com website: well, that could change a lot of thoughts on where this franchise should go this offseason.

Assume Bears, Seahawks (vs STL), Panthers (at ATL), and Saints (vs TB) win. That leaves 2 games to deciding the seeding for the NFC. SEA and CAR would finish 1-2. PHI at DAL SF at ARZ If SF and PHI win (favorites): NO at PHI and SF at CHI 4 If ARZ and DAL win (home teams/underdogs): SF at CHI 3 and NO at DAL If SF and DAL win: NO at CHI 3 and SF at DAL If ARZ and PHI win: SF at PHI and NO at CHI 4 So to me, the best matchup is NO in Chicago, and that would only happen in the last 2 scenarios. If all favorites win, we get SF. A crazy scenario is if SEA somehow loses (possible but unlikely), they could drop all the way to th…

He's likely to be fired at the end of the year. Mel Tucker is awful and should be fired the minute the season is over, although I am not very confident Trestman will see things the same way.. Lets assume Tucker is gone and Ryan is fired. Should the Bears try to get him as the new DC? I don't know if his personality meshes well with Trestman's but there's no question that Rex knows how to coach defense. Just a thought..

I'm still not sold that they will move on from Jay, for better or for worse, but just to get the loss off my mind for a little bit, lets say Jay is let go and they give Josh like 3M to compete with a rookie here is what my ideal offseason would look like.... Bears will have the 4th most cap room of any team in the league, and with a Championship caliber offense, Chicago should be an inviting place for FAs to sign. Assuming they cut Peppers they will have 50M in cap space. Resign Tillman 5M Jennings 5M Melton 3M prove it deal Collins 1M Ratliff 1M Wootton 3M Bowman 2M Williams 1.5M Slausson 2M Gould 4.5M McCown 3M Total 31M …

It is admirable that all on this board, while there are occasional disagreements, are all united in their passion for the Chicago Bears. I for one very much enjoy this board; I enjoy the different takes on many subjects, I enjoy many poster's thought processes. I enjoy having the chance to discuss one of the outlets (the Bears) in my life that helps relieve the stress that comes with working and everyday life. While I don't always agree with everyone, I do appreciate all that you bring to this message board. For all that, I wish all of you and your families the very best this holiday season. I hope for a bright new year for all. Happy Holidays!!

  12. I have ever seen. There were plenty of chances to get back into that game. We finally make it into the redzone, two piss poor sacks takes us out of field goal range. Then we get pinned back on the 1 yard liine down 24-3 in the third and they give up a safety. It started out hosed up and just kept getting worse. I hope this game was a wake up call. If they dont come out at home against the Packers with fire shooting out of their asses I'll probably lose it!!!

If we beat the Packers we are in the first round of the playoffs. Our first game will be at home against either four of the warm weather teams the 49ers,Panthers, Saints or the Cardinals depends on this last weeks games. I like us at home against any one of these teams in the cold.

I would rather see him start to at least give us a chance next week. If Jay starts, we will lose. GB is in his head. Please just come up with a phantom injury.

his defense is a complete train wreck. i have never in my lifetime ever seen a bear defense this bad. it's historical. the wall of shame: tucker - i have given this guy a break all season because of the injury factor. no more!! i understand injuries can be a real cause for 'some' of the problems we are seeing but... by this time in the season NOBODY is a rookie anymore and to see these players game after game make the same mistakes and see no change or improvement is simply incredible.after 15 weeks of game play these players, rookies AND vets, still not having a clue how to play their position falls on the coaching staff and phil emery. either these …

I fully expect to get bounced the f**k out. We suck on so many levels. We are the medicine that Green Bay needs. We will make their dreams come true as we usually do. Cutler will and should start. This isn't about McCown. This is about Cutler. If he sh**ts the bed again, it's time to send him to the laundrymat. None of us have the time for this crap. We spend too many hard hours earning a buck, paying our bills, looking after our families, and supporting these putzes. Dammit I'm sick of it. How can so many clubs continually beat us to the trophy year end and year out? It's sad. In our storied history. One freakin Super Bowl? That's it?…
