Instead of debating who should start or what the best option going forward may be, how about asking why? Q: Why is Cutler starting? A: Because there's an old tradition that the starter does not lose his job to injury. Why? It's a message of loyalty and confidence to the team. I think Balta has been a little busy lately, so I'll step into his role. Tough matchup for Jays return. I think we'll see whoever Joe Haden isn't on have a huge day, and it won't be because Jay is focusing on 1 guy, it'll be because Joe Haden is really good. Thanks for nothing Dallas. Monumental collapse on their part. As much as Cutler frustrates me, I'd rather have him than Romo. Not to jump ahead because the Philly game scares me but the Pucker win sets up Rodgers return for the season finale.

We now get to see Cutler back under center for better or for worst. He will get us back on his bandwagon or cause much talk about McCown again. I hope he does well, we win out and make the playoffs. But: as the season goes we will probably win 2 of the next 3 and not make the playoffs. Lions have a better 3 games to deal with than we do. So for Christmas I would like us to win out(first choice) or lose out and get the best draft position we can grab. So what do you want for Christmas?

Well we hopefully will get the answer to the big question. Is the Cutler going to get that long contract? If he dominates I would think he gets a pretty good contract. If he plays like shit Im not sure what would happen. If he plays decent then I would lean to the Tag. Three options: 1. He dominates the rest of the games 2. Plays decent or a little better then the beginning of the season 3. First, Mondays game was awesome. Seeing our offense do what they did was crazy. Reminded me of the first 5 weeks of 2005 when Great Rex was showing up. Couple of thoughts tho 1. I expected the Offense to hit this type of stride come week 8 or 9. New Coach, system, oline. It takes time for a offense to gel. He signed a 5M contract last year after putting up 9 sacks, this year he's less productive because he's apart of a deep Seahawk defense that rotates 4 DEs, I can imagine the Bears can get him for that same amount per year on a multi year deal.

I'm wondering if anyone here happened to DVR the game? If so I would gladly pay for the time, effort, and materials to have the game put on DVD. I've been trying to find a torrent of it and have had no luck, nor could I find it on a couple auction sites that sometimes list games.

I love Trestman. Last night is what I've wanted to see for years. Get up on a team with an offensive scheme? KEEP RUNNING THAT SCHEME! Step on their throat! Do not let them breathe! Throughout last night's game there were several references to Rich Gannon and Josh McCown. Most of which equated to the term Jon Gruden made that "McCown has travelled a hard road to get where he is, much like Rich Gannon". Of course Gruden would have some insight since Gannon was his QB during much his tenure in Oakland before going to TB. As was quoted in news sources: "Gannon thrived in Gruden's West Coast offense" (Wikipedia). I am not sure if I am pro Cutler next year or Josh and a rookie to groom. In a perfect world, we would resign Culter for a reasonable price. My questions is with all the attention from other teams about going after Culter this offseason, What would have been the incentive for Culter to come back this year risking more injuries if we would have lost last night? Would he have played the I'm not 100% card to go into the FA period healthy?
