The no-call pass interference in the New England/Carolina game could end up costing us a playoff spot. The most-watched sport in the US should have full-time referees who know what they are doing and can actually keep up with the athletes on the field. Peace

I am sure everything I will talk about was on the thread for the game yesterday but dont really have time to view all of it ,so will put my thoughts down here. I like a coach that is aggressive, but we should have took the points early in the game instead of going for the first down. People drop balls, and we get inappropriate pealities at the wrong time but what stirs my dandruff was not going to McCown after the first half. I understand going with Jay to start the game, but he was getting beat up, and wasnt mobile, we should have went with McCown at the start of the second half. Its not Jays fault, he would have wanted to go back in even if his legs were falli…

  3. It is either their bonehead coaching staff or undisciplined defense that will probably see the bears win the division. I was really disappointed last weekend but after a couple of days reflecting I can't see them sustaining a good run to win the division. If you consider our injuries against there's and our different schedules it shows a great job our coaches and players have put out so far this year.

  4. LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Chicago Bears return specialist Devin Hester spent a portion of Wednesday’s practice going through individual drills with members of the secondary, and even received one-on-one instruction from defensive backs coach Jon Hoke at the conclusion of the workout. But does this mean Hester, a former collegiate and NFL cornerback, is a candidate to line up on the defensive side of the ball Sunday in St. Louis? “He’ll jump into (the drills) from time to time and get a little work in,” Bears defensive coordinator Mel Tucker said. “But there is really no news there. I’m not in the conversation business.” Hester started games at cornerback and n…

Nasty conditions, penalties, dropped passes, and McCown comes out with no turnovers, a 92.9 QB Rating, and ended the game 9 for 11 after starting 10 for 20. With us going to STL and then MIN the next two weeks, it would make sense to go with Josh again to allow Jay time to completely heal.

Over the last two games I like the progress I've seen on defense. The Packers minus Rodgers are not the same team but other than bouncing off Lacy and a some missed assignments during the game we had people in the right place most of that game. Against Detroit, minus another starter (SMC) we held our own against their run and passing games. Not even close to what we saw against Detroit in the first matchup this season. I checked on some stats and I'll be honest I don't see it showing up there so I got nothing to back me up. From an execution standpoint I felt our LBs and Dline were in better position and making contact around the LOS more than we were a few games ba…

With the loss of Melton, DT just became a little higher priority for adding talent. I scoped out a couple mock sites and put a wish list together. This coming offseason will be a handful for Emery and Meltons injury just added to that pressure. Rd 1 Timmy Jennigan DT FSU 6-2 298 Fits the mold of a 3T tackle the Bears look for, quick burst, disruptive. Rd 2 Justin Gilbert CB Ok SU 6-0 194 CB with size and experience. Rd 3 Hroniss Grasu C Oregon 6-3 294 Quick/athletic, also a great run blocker for Oregon's fast paced attack. Chip Kelly will also be looking for his anchor to make the line calls. Rd 4 Barrett Jackso…

Why are the Bears struggling so hard to win games this year? The Offensive and Defensive rosters were full of experienced talent, and we finally had coaches with a scheme that can put up points. The answer was the Bears biggest offseason loss, and it's someone you might never have heard of. Rusty Jones was the Bears Strength and Conditioning coach from 2005 through spring of 2013. During that time, the Bears were relatively injury free. Here's a Story from Sports Illustrated about Rusty Jones, and his philosophy of training to avoid injuries, as contrasted with training to gain maximum strength. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ...program…

if the dolphins cut Incognito should Bears sign him to play LG and kick Slauson inside to Center? We could use some more fight inside especially the way our online got pushed around by suh and fairly yesterday. one thing for sure if Ritchie was with the bears the past few years Webb would have not been a problem because he would have quit.

Dont have a lot to say on the subject other than to say I like the idea of him being on the sideline. I was reading a Q/A session with Larry Meyer said he did it due to having two rookies in at LB. Although they didn't show anything special most of the rest of the D did. I understand that Coach Tucker intends to be down their again this week. Better production by the D because their coach is actually on the sideline = coincidence? We shall see.

Our Dline has been hit hard this year with injuries. This sucks for the team and SMC, it would have been great for him to put two great games back to back. Hoping for a Cutler like recovery!! lol

Offense: Total Yards: 10th PPG: 2nd Yards/Play: 5th 1st downs/Game: 12th 3rd down %: 21st Penalties: 3rd least penalized Sacks: 3rd (only 12 allowed) QB Hits: 10th (allowed 38 hits) ------------ Defense: Total Yards: 26th PPG: 29th Yards/Play: 31st 1st downs/game: 19th 3rd down%: 26th Sacks: 28th Takeaways: 4th Defensive TD's: 5th All I have to say is: Can you imagine this team if LAST YEAR's defense was playing for them with the offense they have now? A year too late it seems, which goes back to the day Phil Emery was hired. He came in under the condition that he had to keep Lovie for a year. I said it was stupid when …

the niners cut asomugha or will soon. he is 32 years old but still could possibly contribute to our defense. put him in at CB and move peanut to FS. he has to have better speed than an injured peanut and we could move peanut to free safety where his lack of speed would not be as critical. if i was emery i would take a long look at this guy.
