I would love to see the Bears enter a draft with extra picks stockpiled. It seems every year we enter the draft with less picks than rounds. So the thought of giving up a future draft pick to obtain a promising prospect is questionable in my mind. Especially when the prospect has a few question marks, however small they are. It appears that Isaiah Battle is a highly regarded OT prospect, one who could possibly anchor an OL on the left side for a long time. So would you roll the dice on him? I think we discussed the "dark horse" contenders earlier in the season and I don't want to necessarily tip my hat to *unnamed poster*, but I believe he picked Frey (at least I think it was him) to be that candidate. So far, Frey has been pretty impressive. I see a 'Corey Graham' type of player in the making and there almost is no doubt he (Frey) is the current starting Nickel back. IMHO, he is defintitely the better option over Hayden. From what I've seen when he's playing, he's been around the ball in almost each instance. So far, of the 13 total tackles that he's got for the season 6 were made during the game with Pitt. And to put things in perspective; Brig…

They just had his press conference on the SCORE and he talked about playing all phases of special teams. Boers and Bernstein commented that he looks like a linebacker. Hub Arkush commented on a rumor that he might be Urlacher's eventual replacement. Here's how I look at it: One of our greatest areas of need was a situational pass rusher. We haven't had that since Mark Anderson's rookie year. In his rookie year, if he can fill that role, ratchet up double-digit sacks, won't that be pretty damn good?

Rams released WR Isaac Bruce. St. Louis asked Bruce to take a pay cut and he refused. The Rams have put themselves in awful cap condition with poor free agent signings the past few seasons, and now have to cut their most tenured player. Bruce has plenty left in the tank, and will instantly be on San Francisco's radar. If the Rams are smart, they'll make him another contract offer.

with no GM in place: a good or bad choice, i don't know. here ya go... "Report: Bears Have No Interest In Rex Ryan Former Jets coach Rex Ryan is not among one of the coaches the Bears are interested in interviewing, per a report from ProFootballTalk.com." http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2015/01/03/rep...st-in-rex-ryan/ we would consider quinn a DC who has never been a HC and no offensive anything experience over ryan a defensive minded coach who has been a HC in the NFL. where is the logic in this? go figure.

After the major offseason moves, the main roster snap counts come down to the following: 2020 - Trubisky, Fuller, Leno, Massie, RRH, and Patterson 2021- Fields, Trufant, Jenkins, Daniels, Goldman, and Cohen/Williams Fields replaces Trubisky, huge upgrade regardless if Fields starts immediately or not. Jenkins and Daniels on the O-Line vs Leno and Massie is an upgrade in my eyes. Goldman back for RRH is an upgrade, and the backfield touches of Patterson to Cohen/Williams as an RB is an upgrade. The two clear downgrades we have are Fuller at CB for Trufant/Roberson/Graham/Burns and Patterson as KR to Herbert, Newsome. However, of the 22 O/D starters, onl…

What more do you need to see? How many more games are going to lose because of coaching? No team pulls losses from the jaws of victory like the Bears. This one, at home, against your supposed #1 rivals, for a chance to stay in the playoff hunt. Instead you lose in another miserable fashion to lose your 4th straight. Btw, GB blocked a FG kick last week to win, so you had to know they were good at it and should not have taken any risks with a long kick, but what do I know. I am so sick of Flus, more than any coach that I can remember. Loved Lovie, didn't mind Nagy, just didn't like his play calling, but Flus is on a whole nother level of suck. We are now in Year …

Cutler may have had opening night gitters but I think he the coaching staff failed to prepare him for the 3/4 defense. He looked bewildered. Lovie's two challenges were ridiculous. The fake punt was a player mistake but this is a vet of what, 15 years? They put that quick snap in there but apparently they never coached him on when not to use it. The Packers 12 man was on the sideline for a few seconds before that snap. Halftime adjustments were just fine. With Urlacher out I expected to lose by 21. We were winning until a minute left. But why in the world aren't we READY for the team we play in game one this year? We were ready for the Colts last sea…

I'm sitting in the Vegas airport, waiting for my flight to LA to catch the game... And I'm hungover from a bachelor party last night desperate for food. And there is a kiosk with pizzeria UNO from Chicago! I'm more of a fan of the thin, but right now it's nirvana! Bears!

Zack is back: With all of the injuries at the position, it came as no surprise Tuesday when the Bears promoted rookie cornerback Zackary Bowman from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Bowman was selected by the Bears in the fifth-round of the draft from Nebraska. He played in all four preseason games before being waived Sept. 2 during final cuts. He was then re-signed to the practice squad the following day. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=5249 hes awesome on Madden 09, haha... Say goodbye to that jackass from Tampa, only thing he knows is how to spell Brandon LLoyds name by chasing him all day

If he wins out, especially showing that he can defeat the Packers at home...and especially if Rodgers plays.... He will be our QB for years to come. If not, it'll probalby come down to money. If he doesn't fleece us, he's still probably our QB. But if it is way too much money, we will probably look elsewhere. Whether is Josh & a pick, or a new guy potentially like Cousins. It' simply all on Jay. And I for one am rooting for him big time. I truly hope he delivers what we've all been hoping for. People keep gving McCown credit for seeing the light on being a good QB...let's give Jay more than one rusty game after injury to try to show the same. …

Breaking news from my guys with inside sources, saying Johnson is the guy, and the decision is made. If you see it in mainstream press in the next hour, then that's a pretty good sign my guys do in fact have their sources But yeah, it's real.

For the last couple years there has been a split on this board about what the Bears offense needed. One side said big WR, the other side said OL. Well, I know it's early, and this may be a bit premature, but I believe the question appears to have been answered. The Bears have the WR talent that some were alredy saying was potentially one of the best in the league. Most would say the WR talent is top ten. What did top ten WR talent and franchise QB do yesterday with horrible OL play? It doesn't matter how many toys you give Jay Cutler if you can't protect him. This is true for any QB, but it's particularly true with Cutler.
