I finally completed a review of the win over the Vikings with main focus on the line play, both sides. DLine: Solid play inside in this game mainly from Hicks. Either the coaches or McPhee are getting to him (likely both) because he's starting to play more violently. On his sack near the goal line he just clubbed the lineman with his right arm knocking him off balance and then just ran right past him. After some solid but unspectacular first few games his arrow is now pointing up. Unrein is still unable to get any movement in the pass rush. I give Emery credit for setting up some good competition in training camp at DE this year. In watching the first few games I've been impressed with Trevor Scott at times, and the last game Austen Lane made me login and scan the roster list to see who he was. I didn't think much of either when we signed them but they've proven effective in pass rush at times. I won't speak for their run defense as I haven't watched for that as closely. We'll see how this shakes out very soon but players like Washington and Bass are not on solid ground. Competition for Conte Bench spot

Just seen an national article that stated THE BEARS PURSUE BYRD AND WARD. There was an article in the SunTimes by Jahns that stated the Bears might be interested in going after those two because we had bad safeties last year. So someone else uses that to write an article that states we are pursuing them. Rumors get started on opinions and then they become statements. It is all bull crap. Ill stick with Brad Briggs,and weed thru the rest.

We need to have him out of our divison becasue if he goes to the 49ers he will be throwing to Manningham, Michael Crabtree and Randy Moss. And we play them this year!

This might be one of the worst SBs in quite some time, offenses playing scared. Maye on pace for a top 5 "worst SB passing performances" of all time. Grogan had 177 passing yards in SB XX. Maye has 48 yards and has been sacked 3 times (19 net passing yards). The worst net passing ever was DEN in SB XII with 35 lol. He needs 65 passing yards to pass Kerry Collins for 5th worst of all time.

According to Fangio there may be some depth on our roster. I've somewhat written off our depth at safety but there is a glimmer of hope there that Bush finally knows where he should be going. RRH has buiked up over 290lbs and it sounds like he's much more comfortable inside. We'll see when the pads come in next month. I think we should resign K. Fuller . It is an area of need and if we go out and sign a high level vet, it will cost us an average of 13 mil based on last years signing. So is Fuller worth, 10 to 11 mil a year at 5 years with 30 mil guaranteed ? I think we have to , you figure we draft one high and at least need a young stable vet going forward. The Marcus Cooper signing was thought to be a ascending player, but fell of the edge. Prince played well but was not outstanding, so I think we keep one and Fuller is 3 years younger.

Nick Fairley injured his foot during practice and is in a walking boot. The team doesn't know how severe the injury is and there is speculation that it could be a possible stress fracture.
