I am hearing several, including Mayock who I respect more than most analysts, rave about this guy and have the Bears elated he "falls" to them. He was a late riser on the draft boards from what I can tell which always make me a little nervous. Seems like those guys tend to bust. Any of you guys watch this guy play? Is he the real deal? Should I be keeping my fingers crossed that we get him or should I be praying someone else gets him off the board before the Bears pick?

Was just talking to my Buddy who is a Browns fan, he mentioned The Raven are not good. I responded jokingly that Trestman is their OC and that's why. 20 mins later on Twitter I see this article: https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/...not-jay-cutler/ Hope Cutler gets better each week and continues with this play. Do it for a complete season!!!

  4. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/...g-into-his-30s/ Brandon Marshall sees Jerry Rice as a model for playing into his 30s Posted by Michael David Smith on May 23, 2014, 9:37 AM EDT Jerry Rice AP Brandon Marshall, the Bears’ 30-year-old receiver, just signed a contract that keeps him in Chicago for four more seasons. Marshall says he already has a model for the way a receiver can stay on top into his 30s. Marshall noted at his press conference announcing his new contract that Jerry Rice showed that players in their early to mid-30s can continue to play at a high level. Rice led the NFL in receiving yards for three straight seasons at ages 31, 3…

I have seen plenty of articles of posts ripping Cutler to shreds, and while I am NOT saying he didn't have a bad game, I also thought the receivers really made him look bad. Yea, there were numerous picks, and even more that could have been, but how often was it due to Cutler and how often due to the receiver. Some examples off the top of my head. Early on, there was a play which looked like an out route to Bennett, who rup upfield, began to cut, but then just stopped and turned around. I think that is called a button hook, right? Anyway, Cutler threw the ball as if Bennett would be running an out, and it basically went into (and out of) the hands of a DB as …

I think we should resign K. Fuller . It is an area of need and if we go out and sign a high level vet, it will cost us an average of 13 mil based on last years signing. So is Fuller worth, 10 to 11 mil a year at 5 years with 30 mil guaranteed ? I think we have to , you figure we draft one high and at least need a young stable vet going forward. The Marcus Cooper signing was thought to be a ascending player, but fell of the edge. Prince played well but was not outstanding, so I think we keep one and Fuller is 3 years younger.

This is a boring time of the year so I was looking at the roster and seen some names that could come out and surprise us. Johnathan Banks/CB he was a second round pick, and was very productive his first two seasons in the NFL. 7 interceptions and 15 PBUs. He is 6-2 185, has decent speed and quickness to the ball. Has 34" arms, and was compaed to Aqib Tileb coming out.He seemed to got lost when their was a regime change in Tampa and then after being traded to the Lions got lost in transition. At 27 he is in his prime time of playing, he fits the scheme and probably feels he needs to prove something for being bounced around. I suspect a productive player …

Plenty of attractive pieces on market for Chicago Bears Bears will find good options if they're willing to invest cash By David Haugh | Tribune reporter February 1, 2009 TAMPA - Monday officially begins the off-season. Even if free agency doesn't begin for another 25 days, Bears fans will bandy about many names over the next month that may or may not make sense for a team buoyed by watching a fellow 9-7 team play in the Super Bowl. Quarterbacks Chris Simms. Veteran leaving the Titans makes sense as Jerry Angelo seeks competition for Kyle Orton. If the choice ends up being Simms, whom the Bears have liked since the 2003 draft, it's a competition Or…

Our first two visits happened. They brought in a RB, Seth McGowan/ UK and a center from Kentucky Jager Burton.. He is the 17th ranked OC on draft buzz. An UDFA type. McGowan is the 9th rated RB on draft buzz. 4.49 speed. He is an explosive type RB with a 43.5 vertical and 131" broad. Overall rank #170. Would be a mid round pick. Pick 129?

It appears that the qb position may just keep going back and fourth as rex looks to have taken the lead today. Rex really didn't have any mistakes whereas Kyle threw a pic to bowman (who made an incredible play on the ball!!!) and Steltz. I'd have to say that rex has a little bit of an edge after today and the defense is looking really really good. Also even though kyle did have some pics, it did appear that he was role playing rex a bit. Meaning it appeared that kyle was taking some good shots down the field. Not just the dump offs and the 3-5 yarders, but some legit 15-25 yarders and those throws looked really good. Which is why I'm not putting rex up a whole lot.…

  16. Bears have a bunch of players injured and on C19 list. Minnesota leads the league in sacks but allows the 4th most yards (only behind NYJ, HOU, and SEA), and is in the bottom 8 in pts against. Bears are at home and Cousins is 3-9 in primetime on the road (last win at Soldier Field lol). The only positive is ARob, EJack, and Goldman are not playing. Those are additions by subtractions. Hopefully, Ifedi or Wilkenson can play at RT. This team is a mess, from the top to bottom. Hard to pick them to win in these conditions. I am just hoping for a solid game from Fields with no turnovers. Vikings 31-17

In all his years in Chicago Cutler has had to practice against the Lovie 2 and then for two years again Mel Tucker's toothless version of the Lovie 2. Given his history I won't make a prediction about how much better Cutler will be at protecting the football but I will say that practicing against Fangio's D this camp is giving him the most variety in defensive looks/schemes that he's ever seen in camp. I can't see this hurting Cutler at all, nor the rest of the offense. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...57-21e1bad607a0 "They got after us today," said quarterback Jay Cutler. "They beat us in about every period we had. [Fangio] has done a good job of m…

NFL Network's Charles Davis says Pitt's Tom Savage would be a good fit for the Bears. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100000034...-groom-young-qb I don't know much about this guy except he couldn't handle the heat here in AZ. I watched the video clip about him and they mentioned him going in Rd 3. CBS draft board has him as a 5th Rd pick. I think we go QB in 4-5th Rd so Savage is a guy who should be on our radar.
