As it stands we are the third pick. Philly has two first rounders. Jefferey is healthy now. Are the bears willing to pay 14+ million/year for a receiver that has history of injuries. These are all decent reasons to consider it.

I've been noticing all the teams coming up with alternate helmets this year. The Bengal's white version, the Jet's black, etc... So it doesn't surprise me that the Bears will use an alternate orange helmet during the season. The Bears will wear the new orange helmets on Oct. 13 against the Washington Commanders and on Oct. 30 at the Dallas Cowboys.

I keep saying that this team has a very good shot of repeating what they did during the Superbowl year. I tell everyone that the injuries killed the Bears last year, and that the TV sportscasters don't know what the hell they're talking about. Then I see a thread with a theme questioning if the Bears have the best DL in the league. It wasn't totally blown out of the water, so I have to imagine that everyone takes the question seriously and places the Bears DL in the top 5 - rightfully so in my opinion. He seems like a player who could step in and replace Amos right away. He's somewhat limited in coverage range but in his highlights I'd say he's better in coverage inside the numbers than Amos, and certainly has the hands to make a catch. Amos was quietly promoted to practicing with the 1st string. Vereen, after a poor showing against Miami, is back to 2nd string. It appears this will hold through the 2nd preseason game.
