http://www.theredzone.org/BlogDescription/...ey/Default.aspx Bills bid goodbye to TO, Reed, Denney Feb 27 2/27/2010 6:39:52 PM | More Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News reports the Bills announced tonight they will not offer contracts to soon-to-be free-agents Terrell Owens, Josh Reed and Ryan Denney. The announcement does not come as a surprise. Owens, at age 36, does not fit into the Bills' overhaul plans and would not have wanted to return to Buffalo anyway. Reed and Denney both are eight-year veterans of the Bills who served in backup roles. All three will become free agents on March 5.

Our Papa Who art a Bear Hallowed be thy fame Thy championships come Thy play be run At home as it is away Give us this day Jay Cutler And forgive us of our turnovers Though we pounce on those who turnover against us And lead Cutler not to another team But deliver us from Orton.

Football is an entertainment business. Judging by the empty seats it is not entertaining and not a very good business. I heard estimates of 11k empty seats. Soldier field is the 5th most expensive stadium that has a fan index rate of $557.18 (4 tickets ((avg price)) two small beers, four hot dogs, program, and two adult caps). That means that there is roughly 2750 units that can be associated with that index. So with that loss last night the bears potentially lost over 1 million in ticket sales and revenue from vendors. Now I know a lot of those empty seats are from ticket holders. But this is a trend you don't want starting. Vendors feel it, restaurants and bars …

Suppose the Bears used the rest of their available cap, not including the portion allotted for rookies, to sign Desean Jackson. How would you feel about this move?

Who do you believe is the Bears all-time worst draft pick? My choice - Bob Sapp. He was selected in the 3rd round of the 1997 draft (69th overall). He didn't even make it out of training camp before he was cut. Give me some names!!! Peace

  12. RAMS CHOP CHAVOUS Posted by Mike Florio on February 13, 2009, 3:33 p.m. The Rams have parted ways with safety Corey Chavous, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Chavous, an eleven-year veteran, spent three years with the Rams. He started 43 of 48 games. The move came days after Chavous’s agent requested that the player be released. Chavous previously played for the Cardinals and the Vikings, starting every game in Minnesota over a four-year career there. Per Thomas, the moves creates $1.2 million in cap space.

The NFL and media have fallen in love with the passing game in recent years but this year the playoffs are proving that you can still win by running the ball. The Titans have taken down the Patriots and Ravens behind a middling QB, a strong running game/Oline, and a strong defense. We have two of those pieces. FWIW the Ravens got to the 1 seed by running. We all know we need the Oline fixed but we also must find a good RB to compliment Montgomery. A RB with some speed. Then we need someone to call the running plays.

Let's play a game. Pick three free agents: 1. Max contract, the Bears spend & do everything to land this big name. Strippers sent to his house, midget telegrams, private jet pickups, Bears greats wine and dine him. 2. Big contract, a second tier guy with potential, looking for big money. 3. A promising young player or veteran with years left or fills a big hole And then draft (no trade downs) based upon your free agent pickups. FA #1 - FA #2 - FA #3 - 1. 2. 3. 4. 4. 5. 7.
