I was watching NFL network this week Eisen and Charles both made snide remarks about Ortons season. Eisen when Schefter was giving him Props and bears Props, and last nite with Lombardi talking about Ortons Injury. T.D. also gave a smirk. I dont get it, The guy been playing lights out and NFL Netork never talks about it.

At work today, I couldn't help but to sit back and think about the Bears future. Here's the way I see it. While our defense is aging, we do have some young, starting, good players: Briggs is 27. A. Brown is 29. Dvoracek is 25. Harris is 25. Idonije is 27. Vasher is 26. Tillman is 27. Payne is 24. Harrison is 24. Graham is 23. Our defensive back-ups have looked good for what they've done, too. Roach is 23. Steltz is 22. J. Williams is 24. McBride is 23. LaRocque is 22. Bowman is 23. Also, Urlacher, Briggs, Wale, Adams, and Urlacher still have some productive years left, too, IMO. The offense also has many young, starti…

Bears QB Kyle Orton spoke with the media on Wednesday, and made two things very clear — he feels fortunate his right ankle injury wasn’t more severe, and he’s not ruling himself out against the undefeated Titans on Sunday. Orton said he will not practice today as he continues rehab. Beyond that, he considers the injury day to day.

The Score had talked about who was the second highest paid Bear this year. According to the USA today newspaper. I would imagine that the bonus is paid with incentives met. Right ? http://content.usatoday.com/sports/footbal...spx?player=5067

The Titians are a good football teams this year, but they can be beaten. We have to get them out of there mind set of being 8-0. We have to first stop their running game, which we can do sinse we have been good against the run all year. But the main key this game is to move the LB'S back from the line and let them play normal. This will take away some of those short passing lanes that are killing us. Also with the WR the Titians have we need to play more bump and run and two deep double the outside WR. This takes away timing and free passing lanes. The second thing is the Dline needs to rush Collins....he is no V. Young when it comes to running. Now the offense needs…

INJURY REPORT AND IMPLICATIONS Tennessee Titans (8-0) at Chicago Bears (5-3) By Michael Nudo Former Bear Jeff Fisher brings his undefeated Titans to Soldier Field on Sunday (AP Photo/Mark Humphrey). BEARS OFFENSEcolor> vs. TITANS DEFENSEcolor> Rex Grossman is poised for his first start of the season after Kyle Orton sustained an ankle injury against Detroit. Orton has been making progress this week but it would be a big surprise if he plays. The height-challenged Grossman will need to find passing lanes and avoid having passes knocked down by the Titans’ interior line, which includes 6’6”defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth (6 sacks). First-year star…

1. The Bears D has looked good for the most part except on passing downs, Thier not getting to the QB is really killing the game. 2. Grossman is not the QB and today proves it. It almost looks like thier is no game plan. His inability to adjust is proven once again and not adjusting the plays like Orton does has hand cuffed this team. I dont see us going any further in this game. Now pass rush like a mo fo and maybe we can get back into it.

I hope you change your mind after watching this awful performance from Rex Grossman. Don't even say "It was the O-Line's fault. Field position. Good Defense. Drops" It was none of the above. It is the above, if the ball actually is within reach of the WR. I hope you get banned from these forums if you post one more pro-Grossman topic. /Rantover

That got your attention! But in fact, I'm not here to defend Grossman, even with his lack of reps and playing a great D we should expect well more from him than we got. He sucked today. But that topic is pretty cut and dry so why bother. What I instead want to bring up is our WR's continually not adjusting. Possibly the worst case was the Devin Hester bomb, beat his man, turned around to look for the ball, and promptly slowed down to 80% speed while watching Rex's ball land where he should have been. Man, if your name is Devin "freaking" Hester, slowing down on a post route cut is absolutely inexcusable. Even with Rex stinking it up, that one silly play would…

Noots’ Notes-Game 9: 21-14 Loss to Tennessee By Michael Nudo The Bears (5-4) fell to the Titans at Soldier Field 21-14 to keep Tennessee undefeated. After the Bears took their opening drive for a touchdown, the Titans responded with 21 unanswered points before the Bears scored again in the fourth quarter. Another game, another 7 on 7 drill by an opposing quarterback (AP Photo/David Banks). OFFENSE Quarterback With Kyle Orton sidelined by an ankle injury, the Bears turned to Rex Grossman (20-37-173, TD, INT, 1/1 TD). Although he led the team on a touchdown drive to open the Bears’ possessions, he was downright brutal for most of the rest of play. H…
