Per Twitter: JasonLaCanfora CB Kelvin Hayden agreed to terms with Bears on a 1yr deal 12 minutes ago. I like it. Should be good to have another body in CB, if for nothing else competition.

http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?STORY_ID=8716 McShay sees Bears drafting Stanford tackle By: Larry Mayer | Last Updated: 4/2/2012 9:23 AM In his latest mock draft, ESPN analyst Todd McShay is predicting that the Bears will select Stanford offensive tackle Jonathan Martin with the 19th pick in the first round. Jonathan Martin “Martin needs to add some strength, but he could pair with 2011 first-round OT Gabe Carimi to give offensive coordinator Mike Tice a pair of bookends to coach up,” McShay writes. McShay also believes that the Bears will choose Clemson tight end Dwayne Allen in the second round (50th overall). The Bears…

Close to the draft, looking at what we got; QB- With Cutler, Campbell, and McGown, we now have a legit backups for a potential problem. Throw Enderle to the scrap heap. RB-Forte, Bush,Bell,Allen and throw in Klutz and we wont be drafting at this position. I would say rock solid at RB. TE-Davis, Spaeth, Adams stick and the A. Smith, and D. Ross will be gone. Not a position of strength but a wait to see with Davis. I dont think think we will draft. WR- Marshall,Bennett,Hester,Davis, Weems,Thomas, Sanz, and Komar. I dont count Knox because I dont think he plays this year. We still need to draft another prospect to be a #2. I think Bennett is a #3 on a goo…

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/ Demetrius Bell will visit Packers this week Posted by Mike Florio on April 3, 2012, 10:01 AM EDT Getty ImagesFree-agent tackle Demetrius Bell is getting around. Which means he’s not getting the kind of offer he wants. His free-agent tour will continue this week with a visit to the Packers, according to Rob Demovsky of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Bell most recently visited the Steelers and Eagles. He was a seventh-round pick of the Bills in 2008.

I for one am not worried about the WR core this year, BM is obviously a number 1. I think Bennett, with his connection with Cutler going back through Vandy, is a SOLID #2 who I think can really develop into a #1b and IMO thats not even up for debate. I also think if hes utilized properly, like a Brandon Stokley, Hester will be a real good #3. I think people forget that not too long ago Hester put up 700+ yards in a season and if utilized correctly I dont see why he cant have another good year this year with more weapons around them or at least put up good #3 receiver numbers(500-600yds id say). I took a look at the 2008 Denver Broncos, the year Cutler went to the pro…

http://www.drafttek.com/CMDRound1_17-32.asp 19 Chicago Jonathan Martin Stanford LOT Reach/Value: -5 Height: 6'6" Weight: 305 15 penalties...12 sacks allowed...7th rd pick - these are the vitals on LT J'Marcus Webb. Lovie and Emery have repeatedly defended Webb despite his continued folly, but the happy facade is starting to crack. Asked if the Bears would consider a change, Smith revealed the true feelings of the inner circle: "if there's someone who can improve us we're going to look at it seriously." Despite a subpar Pro Day, Martin is a player that would have to make the Bears reconsider their situation.

http://www.fansedge.com/Chicago-Bears-Nike...9939128_PG.html It hit stores last night. The new New Era hats did as well, but those are ugly, so I didn't bother posting a link. This stuff is such a breath of fresh air compared to Reebok. They really packed it in these past few years knowing the end was near, and it showed in their product. Also, the new jerseys will debut Tuesday, per Sean Jensen.

http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2012.php 1. Kendall Wright, WR 2. Jerel Worthy, DT 3. Cam Johnson, DE 4. Ladarius Green, TE 5. Shaun Prater, CB Wow. That would suck ass. A short, overrated WR when superior OL talent is there, an inconsistent and somewhat lazy DT, a slow DE with physical problems and possible disease, a TE who is actually a slot WR or H-Back who lacks true TE blocking skills (which is also ignoring the fact that Davis was resigned), and a 5th round CB who is actually pretty good for the round and for Lovie's system.

There's a guy out there that I have had my eye on as a possible dark horse candidate to be the next WR drafted by the Chicago Bears. Given the recent signing of Devin Thomas, it's looking like the Bears are going to go away from a WR, atleast in the early rounds of the draft. This may or may not be the case, this could be a clever ploy at a smoke screen, but for the purpose of this topic, lets just assume it's not. This is a player that I think might be worth drafting in the 4th round or so, and just happened to be arguably the most productive WR in college football over the past 5-10 years. I'm talking about a player who caught 131 passes and 15 touchdowns his JR year an…
