Here is some recent rumors going around. I would like to see the Bears get an upgrade to the Nick Roach position. Depending on the money being spent to do so as we have alot bigger needs of course. Bears | May have interest in David Hawthorne Wed, 15 Feb 2012 13:23:36 -0800 The Chicago Bears could show interest in Seattle Seahawks impending free-agent LB David Hawthorne because his ability to play all three linebacker positions in a 4-3 defensive alignment. 0 Comments | Share: | Source: ESPNChicago.com - Michael C. what to do this offseason and what is available... #1 priority should be a LT to keep our franchise player off of IR. what are the options? 1. convert chris williams back to his projected position as left tackle unless tice won't budge on his quality evaluation of williams at that position. if that's the case we have another angelo bust. 2. it's always a thin market for good, young, FA left tackles. the only options i have seen both come from san diego and both have questions in regards to health issues. as i have not watched many charger games i am basing this call mainly on what i have read and not seen so take that with a grain of salt. A) marcus m…

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/...t-this-weekend/ Bears, Forte will meet this weekend Posted by Josh Alper on February 24, 2012, 10:31 AM EST Reuters Contract talks between the Bears and running back Matt Forte will get underway at the combine this weekend. Albert Breer of the NFL Network reports that the team and Forte’s representatives will discuss a long-term contract in advance of Forte becoming a free agent. Forte’s made no secret of his desire for such a deal over the last year, but nothing happened while Jerry Angelo was the team’s General Manager. These will be the first meetings on the topic since Phil Emery replaced Angelo earlie…

He was just on Sirius radio and said he wants more than Jahri Evans' $56 million. He also said he hasn't talked to the Saints about a new deal. Sorry, but $60 million for a guard is too much.

Highlights: -Wished Waddle a happy birthday. -When asked about Vincent Jackson, he said any WR in FA over 6'2 would be nice. -Said the baby is due "late summer." -Really talked up Brandon Marshall again. -Claimed "the word on the street" is that Emery will add playmakers. -Loves the Bates hire and loves Tice as well (praised Lovie for their hires/promotions). -Called the Times and Trib "tabloids" which was funny. -Said he's only golfed one time this offseason. -Claimed he's been working out in Nashville and that he'll be throwing soon.

Stanford Routt was cut by the Radiers to save money. The Bears need to sign this guy and cut Bowman and Jennings. Routt is 6'1 195lbs and runs a 4.3 40 yard dash. He is clearly better than either Jennings or Bowman. Also he is a cover guy.....meaning he can cover WR'S and not just let them run free.

We the Bears are missing a player here and there to make it back to the SuperBowl. I for one would sign Moss since he says that he doesn't need to be the NO #1 WR. If we could sign Jackson or Bowe, sign Moss and then draft Floyd........Cutler will have an orgasim!! Not to mention how other teams defenses will have nightmares on how to stop the Bears passing game with these three plus Hester and Bennett & Knox. Maybe Tice can talk him into coming here! http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill Randy Moss says he’s “coming to tear somebody’s heads off, man” Posted by Mike Florio on February 13, 2012, 11:29 PM EST ReutersIn 1998, …

Emery has evaluated his new team and he see's what needs to be done to not just win a Superbowl, but build a dynasty. First in order, he gets the FA Bears signed right away that he doesn't want to hesitate on Matt Forte Corey Graham Greg Steltz Amobi Okoye Kahil Bell He will keep a close eye on: Kellen Davis, Israel Idonje, and Brandon Merriweather but hold until after the draft Second is to make the splash in the market....with 15-22 million to spend PE thinks BIG Vincent Jackson WR -Bowe will get the franchise tag if he don't sign long term, KC has lots of cap space. Jackson won't be franchised, but will weigh his options before going…

Anyone need a quick smile and chuckle? http://www.talkbears.com/forums/index.php?...4293&st=100 I still get goosebumps. Going back to page 160-170, I can't believe some of those putrid mock drafts we all made too. Anyway, it's time FINALLY to surround him with some talent. Do it, Emery.

I was reading Soxtalk's NFL thread and apparently Peter King is reporting that Mario Manningham is going to ask for $7m+ annually. So yeah, cross him off of the Bears list. Right?

Since Randy Moss wants to come back and rip the head off someone, by not signing him do you want him to go to a team so he can rip the heads of Tillman and or Jennings our starters from last year. Remember he owned Tillman for awhile when he was with the Vikings. But on the other hand lets say you sign him,....... now would would love to see him rip the heads off......lets say the Packers!!! And not to even mention the Vikings we also play twice. Oh and dont we also play the Titans this year? Then next year we play the Patroits too!! I would love to see him burn up these teams with their weak secondary players and not against us. But mark my words if he goes to a team we …
