We have to say things have been interesting so far. These are new players that could impact our roster. Now we need to add a couple of OLs and a cornerback and this could be an interesting year. BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- Chicago Bears defensive end Corey Wootton left practice Thursday with a hip injury and is being evaluated. Going into his fourth season, Wootton had seven sacks in 16 games last year. wft is going on with all the injuries? They all need a shot of penicillin to get rid of that injury bug that is hanging in the air at training camp.

Great leadership on the part of Peppers. These guys will be playing as a unified team when they return. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...ers-mother.html Source: Majority of Bears defense to attend funeral for Brian Urlacher’s mother NEIL HAYES September 17, 2011 11:52AM Reprints 9 Updated: September 17, 2011 11:56AM Virtually every member of the Bears defense will travel to Lovington, N.M., today to attend funeral services for Brian Urlacher’s mother, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. The Bears linebacker missed several days of practice this week after his mother, Lavoyda Lenard, died unexpectedly on …

What a big yuck today. Where we failed... 1. Special Teams. Paging Dave Toub? Where did you go? No Hester, mess ups on FG coverage, and just plain being a non-factor... We were counting on you for 4 straight weeks to at least come through once. FAIL. 2. D. How is it we can look so good, then so bad so quickly? It's been for weeks now! Bumbling around in the secondary like a bunch of Shemp rejects, having the only thing come from Urlacher in weeks is poor sportsmanship, and reverting back to playing 20 yards off the line of scrimmage... When the going gets tough, this team has seemed to regress. I don't expect tunrovers all the time, but I expect…

Former Packers 2nd Rounder, was stuck behind Bulaga and Bakhtiari, so it's hard to get a read on him. He was on IR last year, so who knows. Another guy to compete with the revolving bookends we already have. One year deal, probably near the vet minimum, it can't hurt.

There's a guy out there that I have had my eye on as a possible dark horse candidate to be the next WR drafted by the Chicago Bears. Given the recent signing of Devin Thomas, it's looking like the Bears are going to go away from a WR, atleast in the early rounds of the draft. This may or may not be the case, this could be a clever ploy at a smoke screen, but for the purpose of this topic, lets just assume it's not. This is a player that I think might be worth drafting in the 4th round or so, and just happened to be arguably the most productive WR in college football over the past 5-10 years. I'm talking about a player who caught 131 passes and 15 touchdowns his JR year an…

I've been reading some articles by some naysayers who question the positive outlook many of us have for the Bears offense in 2024. After all, we got a new OC to replace the dumbass we had last year. We added dynamic skill players to our offense. So why are they so negative? Do they dislike the Bears? So, I did some fact-checking. Last year, the Bears offense ranked #18 in points scored (360). Where did Seattle rank? They were #17 (364). I know we have a dynamic set of skill players, but we also have a rookie quarterback. Geno Smith, Metcalf, & Lockett are certainly a good set of players. So should we be concerned that they, with our new OC, were basically tied wi…

Everyone is a spectator right now, 9 hours from opening of free agency. One source I trust said: "I expect the Bears to hit it big." source added: "This is it. There is no draft. They have to come out w/ 4 or 5 players. The #Bears will not be outbid. It's in their budget." All I can say is we haven't seen the #Bears, not under Jerry Angelo or anyone else, come out writing checks like that in free agency. So get your popcorn ready for tonight, or set your alarm. This will be interesting to watch. Can you imagine if they don't strike in FA?

I am disgusted after this week more than I have been in a long time. With that said, the INTs are deceiving in my opinion. INT #1: This was a forced throw by Cutler, but he was left with little choice. The play-calling on this set of downs was typical Turner, and absolutely atrocious. Two runs up the middle on first and second lead the Bears to a third and goal, and EVERYONE in the world knew it was going to be a pass. So, why play action at all? The run didn't fool anyone. And even if the Niners were stupid enough to maybe expect a run, which they weren't, it wasn't like they'd be scared anyway because they just stuffed it on the previous two plays. At that p…

I respect the hell out of what the guy has done on the field, but really, get him OUT of the studio. He just said that Cutler is gonna have to have a HUGE game because the Packers WILL score 4 touchdowns. Research is your friend Steve. The Packers have only reached the endzone three times against the Bears this season, IN TWO GAMES! Sorry, I had to rant.
