Interesting to note that the Bears have 9 losses, with 7 coming against playoff teams, and 6 with teams projected to have 10 or more wins. We did not lose to a single non-playoff team in regulation (losing to DET and SF in OT). 6 of our losses were within one score or less (8 pts). Of our 6 wins, only one was by more than 5 pts (scary). So just as easily as we could've been 12-3, we could've been 1-14. It is nice to know our schedule will be heavily in our favor next season: Schedule

Fontel Mines, TE CHI News: The Bears announced Sunday which players they signed for their practice squad. The players are as follows: DE Ervin Baldwin, LB Joey LaRocque and TE Fontel Mines. Analysis: The Bears still have three open practice spots. These players will not see the field on Sundays during the regular season and should be avoided in Fantasy.

Remember the ridiculous Seattle and Washington games in which the Bears or their coaching staff did something completely foolish and cost the game? Each of those games should have been guaranteed wins, but something didn't work. It's hard to believe that this team could be sitting in the same spot with only one loss. It's even more difficult to believe that if they had taken care of business with those two games they would probably already have a playoff spot locked up.

I can see it now. We win the game but hear the "the Bears get lucky again facing a team with key injury" kinda deal. IMHO Sanchez isn't that good as it is. The easy headlines for this game will be if the Jets win "Sanchez plays tough through injury and leads his team to victory." I always find it funny when someone does an analysis like this with no point. To me the numbers are very misleading. 6 players are 30, and 8 our 31-33. Of those 8, 2 are our Kicker and Long Snapper. That leaves 6 players of age concern to me: Allen (gone after this year), Ratliff (only 1 or 2 years left), Rolle (stop gap Safety for 2 years), Montgomery (Centers can play into their mid-30's), Jennings (likely gone after this year), and Cutler (QB age is a non-factor at 31). I am waiting for the finger pointing to start after that loss, especially after 3x 4th Quarter INTs by Fitzpatrick. The Jets did just enough to lose. Kind of weird that Marshall's first year with the Bears, the team goes 10-6 and misses the playoffs, and now the Jets do the same thing. That was the Bears best record with Marshall. This is only the 2nd winning season for Marshall (both 10-6 teams).
