I read more and more about this guy. He was an OG in college, but finished the year at LT. I am reading he is a stud OG, and many/most believe he can move to LT in the NFL he is so good. He is going to be a 1st round pick, but w/ such a solid OT class, he is more likely to last to the back half of the 1st round. I mentioned earlier about trading up into the late 1st. Could he be a target too. The more I read about him, the more I love. If you believe the writing, at worst, he is a stud OG. At best? He could be a stud LT. If we do not take a OT w/ our 1st pick, what about moving up and taking him next?

Based on cap estimates, which I have no idea who's right. I have read they have at most is 15mil. Now they of course will redo some contracts etc. But what QB's that are free agents are still worth signing to even be a backup. And I just don't see trading for almost any of the ones available. Dalton. Foles, Newton, and maybe Carr. I just don't see any way they can improve their QB play and will be lucky to get a backup better than Daniels was. I can't believe they would sign Newton or Brady. What say you?

As a longtime Bear fan(circa 1966) I have seen 1st round draft picks traded for Qbs that didn't pan out, I've seen 2nd round picks flame out and I've seen a 6th round pick take the Bears to the playoffs. Looking at the game I only can only remember Bush in on 1 snap a 6 yard run with power. Lovie didn't mention Bush in the injury report today and Allen was in on at least 2 snaps.

If all of the top 6 OL players are gone at our 20th spot, who do we take? the top 4 OTs, and 2 top OGs I would suspect we draft our next need. Eifert/TE or maybe Austin/WR. If that happens I would like to see us move down in the draft to get extra picks. I still think AZ is a likely trade candidate. A lot of mock drafts have them taking a QB in the first round, but dont think any of the prospects merit that high of a pick. Which would give us a 39th our 50th and a 3rd round 69. Just pointing out that there's one more bad WR who's hit the market the Bears might be interested in after some team over-pays for Bernard Berrian. According to PFT, Washington paid 10 million AND gave up a 3rd & 4th round draft pick for Lloyd's services. As PFT wrote, "For that investment, the Redskins got 23 catches for 365 yards in 2006 and two catches for 14 yards in 2007. He never caught a touchdown pass as a Redskin." He was in that massive free agent group Redskins fans were so proud of that included Antwaan Randle-El and Adam Archuletta. Gentlemen, that is exactly why you shouldn't get pissed when the Bears don't go broke trying to get a guy.

Ok, I have been tempering my excitement and it is only the preseason but I always felt that there are things you can take away from the preseason even if it is not game outcome related. The operation as a whole looks crisper, tighter, and it feels like everyone understands what is going on. Communication looked good, no delay of game penalties or wasted time outs. The buy in is real. Burdens blocks at the goal line were impressive. If the players have confidence and trust the process, there is another level that can be achieved, something we haven't seen since the Lovie era. I know everybody is anxious for the first preseason game. Who would you start ? Normally 1st stringers play one or to series and back ups play the rest. But with two starters (OL) injured, possibly (B. Marsh ) three on offense would you play Jay and Forte ? On defense Allen missed all week, Jennings hurt , would you rest Tillman and Briggs ? I myself would play it cautious and not play these players especially the first game. I want to see more of the "right to start" battles on defense and of course the right to back up the offense.

it has been reported on NFL channel that revis is going to be traded or cut today. i would go very large on revis. we have NO high cost player on this side of the ball and he would give us the option, cost wise, to eat a large part of his contract while we groom tackles or defensive ends through the draft. revis would be the best possible scenario to come to chicago. he is the type of player we have not had maybe ever. with a very good cover corner in his PRIME we could solidify our pass defense for the next 4 + years with a real talent in a pass oriented NFL. it also gives us the option to run ANY type of defense with a cover corner who can shut down an…

Results stunk and he was in over his head, but he was probably one of the classier guys on the coaching staff and one of the few of the primary coaches whom the players really stood up for and seemingly played hard for.
