Forced Fumble, Rushing TD, return for a TD. Good to see him thriving in Atlanta and i felt he would be motivated against his father figure in Lovie.

It's nice to hear the young Olinemen making progress. Here is some Q and A's from a Tice interview : http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears CHICAGO -- Chicago Bears offensive line coach Mike Tice spent some time Wednesday on the “Afternoon Saloon” on ESPN 1000 discussing some of the technical aspects of offensive line play, and they relate to the Bears for the upcoming season. Because Tice was so detailed in his responses to great questions from Carmen DeFalco, John Jurkovic and Harry Teinowitz, we decided to paraphrase the questions and transcribe the whole interview in a question-and-answer format so you can get the full gist of the offensive line coach’s…

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/...re-in-cap-room/ 11 teams still have $20 million or more in cap room Posted by Mike Florio on August 2, 2011, 8:02 AM EDT Getty ImagesOne week into the 2011 spending spree under the new $120.4 million salary cap, 11 teams still have more than $20 million available for the coming season. A source with knowledge of the numbers has shared them with PFT. Leading the way are the Bengals, with more than $41 million in cap room. The Jaguars have more than $34 million. And the bronze goes, surprisingly, to the Browns, with more than $30.4 million. The others are: the Buccaneers (more than $30.2 million); th…

Can you imagine what coud have been had we not taken CB in the draft? We could have kept Jones, had AP as a backup, used the 2nd round pick we used on Forte on Oline, Dline, or LB, and had a good laugh! Now, I love Forte, but the Cedric pick was a huge mistake in retrospect and the loss of TJ completely unnecessary.... WAS THIS ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF A PLAYER NOT BEING ON THE LS ASS-LICKER LIST? I am not sure of this issue whatsoever, but I really wonder how some of these players have gone on to prove themselves elsewhere after being exiled from Chicago.

Reading a Trib article talking about what to do if/when Pace is healthy. Article mostly seems to point to the greater need of finding out whether Williams is their LT or not, but in reading the article, Briggs makes the following comment. While he has been maligned for his play much of the season, he held up blocking the Vikings' Jared Allen solo before being hurt. I read that and just froze. To say he blocked Jared Allen solo is equal to saying, hey, Jonathan Quinn started at QB. Just because you point out a situation a player was in doesn't factor how they played. Yes, we did put Pace on Allen solo (still can't figure that one out) but Allen abused Pac…

If the Bears want to turn the corner, they need to start a path and go with it. Without a QB they are only making circles. They should hire Mike McCoy to be the OC if he does get fired, re-sign AJ long term and draft offense. On Defense, they have some pieces and are respectable but can use a DE, CB, and S to take that step into top 10 talk. Sign the top dogs as a year or two patch like Calais Campbell DE, Eric Berry FS, and Trumaine Johnson CB. If there is still money, maybe make a run at Mevin Engram OLB also. Hoyer may make a decent veteran bridge QB so you have some experience there also. draft: 1. Deshone Kizer QB -has the size, athleticism, iq, and arm. If he h…

This play pretty much sums up the offense in Game 1. In the 1st Quarter, 3rd and 9 from the GB 39, the Bears come out trips left and keep 7 in to protect and still allow a sack with 2 extra blockers. Long and Daniels both literally touched Martinez and let him through with zero resistance to block no one? The play call was also terrible. The only receivers are between the left hash and the sidelines (making it easy to defend). The only possible completion at this point is an out to Robinson or a post to Cohen (which takes longer to develop) inside the safety and past the LBs, which is a tough throw with pressure up the middle. The only chance is if Mitch sees the pr…

There are rumors going around the the Vikings #3, Rams#6 and the Seahawks #12 all might want to trade down in the draft this year. If so what spot would you trade for and what would you be willing to give up for that spot?

This was posted on the Bear website. I ask do the opportunities that Rideau and Aromashodu are getting translate into them pushing for jobs? They are both tall 6'3 and 6'4 and would make great targets for Cutler to throw to. As far as speed Brandon is slower than Devin(not Hester)but they seem to be faster than Davis. So they question here is would these two be good fits for a roster than looks like this. Hester, Bennett, Ridaeu,Aromashodu, Knox, Iglesias.IMHO I would take my chances and let Davis go and work with three speed guys Devin H, Devin A and Knox and use Bennett, Ridaeu, Iglesias as the move the chairs type WR'S Who do you think will have the best chance o…

IMHO We need to get at least one of these guys for our Defense. I think the corner Asomugha would be the best fit to take Vashers spot if we are going to let him go or try to make the team next year. Pappers would be nice but the tag is just too much. Leftwich needs to resign with the Steelers. Raiders | Asomugha does not want to be franchised Sun, 01 Feb 2009 14:26:30 -0800 Jason Jones, of the Sacramento Bee, reports Oakland Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha, who is an impending free agent, does not want the Raiders to play franchise tag on him this offseason. Raiders | Asomugha could get franchise tag Sun, 01 Feb 2009 14:23:42 -0800 Jason Jones, of the Sa…

Was the drive at the end engineered by Orton. Outstanding. I was hoping he would break through with a game ending drive. Can't blame him for the loss. He looks like our starter for years to come. Peace

As a die hard fan I was jumping up and down, yelling at the TV, indoor clappin with whistling (sign of white-trashiness). I felt somewhat conflicted. I always want the bears to win no matter what. But, there was & is a small percentage of me (.1%) that wanted to see our coaching staff blow the game. With a great first half and being up 17 points towards the end of the 3rd quarter and to lose would have hermetically sealed the lovie coffin. Ron Turner called a good game. But his philosophy going into it was as a coordinator that knew his job was on the line and the team had nothing more than self-respect to play for. So you can't compare his play calls today a…

Kyle Long and Sitton are too experienced to be making these mistakes. Not all mistakes in the first 3 games are on them but clearly there are numerous issues on the Oline that need to be corrected for this running game to take off. http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2016/09/29/f...gainst-cowboys/

https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/2019/06/19/the-nfls-11-best-offensive-tackles/ So the Bears did not make a top eleven tackle. But they had a player in every other list and in some two. Just amazing how good this defense is. I am looking forward to seeing how they will play with Pagano. And I don't for a minute think they are going backwards just because they lost Fangio. When Ryan left they were just as good and in many areas even better.

Hester is the only Bear leading his position in Pro Bowl balloting. I understand this game is a huge joke, but come on. Briggs and Gould are the only 2 that deserve to go, and MAYBE Forte.
