Has anyone else noticed that there have been quite a few OBVIOUS pass interference situations on the Bears WRs/TEs, and they have not been called? It seems that there has been many more than normal recently, with replays in more than one game making announcers say, "Yeah, that should have been pass interference." Is this a matter of respect for the passing game, or lack thereof?

By actions of the Bear's brass, they are going to go with current assets as far as adding to the pass rush. DA, to my understanding, does a lot of stunts and blitz's. As we all know the sacks come from the DTs, LBers, and DBs, and with the added speed, I can see a lot more from the back seven . As much as Dexter was bad against the run he was 9th in sacks as a DT. He was 19th out of 134 in pressures. Grady Jarrett is on his last legs and was hurt most of the year. He appeared to play better towards the end of the year. He had 21 pressures and 3 sacks. I know I am concerned about the Bears offense, but league-wide, offensive numbers are down across the board. During the interview with Cutler and Marshall, Jay mentioned that having Jermemy Bates here installing some of the things they did in Denver was going to be big for him and Brandon since they both are familiar with the system. I can't say I watched too many of Denver's games back when Cutler was there so I don't know exactly what this means for our passing game. I have looked every where, has the NFL admitted fault with their banded substance list or is the case still pending. Because it would be a positive boost going into the season with them suspended and if so I hope we get them in the first 4 weeks any thoughts.

I talked to my friend today, as I thanked him for the Trestman information. He let me in on another thing: expect them to hire Pat Meyer, who is the OL/Running Game Coordinator at Colorado State. There hasn't been a title given yet but expect him to be a RB coach or maybe the OL coach even. Sometime in December, he was hired by the Alouettes.

I believe he is the longest-tenured Bear and made $1.75M last year. The Bears just signed Ryan Winslow who was a UDFA with the Bears in 2018. Could this be the end of Mega Punt? The Bears also signed long snapper Beau Brinkley, which could also spell the end for Patrick Scales ($1.13M). Between these guys and the vet min, they could save about $1M in cap space between the 2.

The Path to the Draft episode today on NFL Network had a Bears War Room feature where they talk about the roster and picks in the first few rounds that they think would make sense. They've been doing these for all the teams leading up to the draft. It will probably be rebroadcast a few times in the next 24 hours, but I'm not sure about availability after that.

Just had his worst two games of his career back to back these last two weeks: He now has 10 INTs in 8 games (leads the league), and is on pace for 20+. The most he has ever thrown in a season was 12, and he had only thrown 11 in the last two years. He also has 2 fumbles lost for 12 turnovers (Tied for league lead with Lawrence). From reading some analyst's posts, it seems that teams have finally made an adjustment defensively to him and it is causing him major issues.
