Bearstalk

to be announced soon.

Unless a trade happens, I see the draft sucking. In my opinion, the Bears need serious upgrades at QB, OT, CB, S, DE in no specific order. QB - Cutler is done. The only one I want at #4 is Kizer, and that's even questionable for me. The others, particularly Trubinsky, would be a huge reach that early. OT - No top 4 guys there. The best guy is either Cam Robinson or Mike McGlinchey, and they're more mid-1st kind of guys. Around #10 at the highest. CB - The Bears have a bunch of maybes at CB right now. But I don't think Marlon Humphrey or Marshaun Lattimore are worth of #4. S - No doubt the Bears need a Safety, maybe both. But is Jamal Adams or Jabrill…

I know our running game was owning, but we can't run on 3rd and 5+ so many times. I was having 2005 QB on a leash flashbacks. When they actually let Kyle throw on crucial plays, he did a nice job and I want to see more of that in the future. I want to see if he can do what he did on those plays consistantly. As of now, I'm not sure he can win a game in which our running game can only sqeak out 65-80 yards. Also, even though it worked, I HATE THE FB DIVE! The only time I want the ball in Mckie's hands is a checkdown in the flats or a fumble recovery. Speaking of fumbles, has Kreutz been the problem this whole time? In closing, I CANNOT WAIT to see Til…

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3512348 The Green Bay Packers, unable so far to trade Brett Favre and facing his arrival at training camp, are reportedly considering taking a step they desperately wanted to avoid: dealing him to a division rival. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, citing a source close to the situation, on Wednesday reported the Packers were considering seeking a deal with one of their rivals, most likely the Minnesota Vikings or Chicago Bears, if all else fails.

Houston, Mundy, and Senn? 1 starter and massive needs at Safety, CB, and DL. I know it is only Day 1 but we didnt get Ward or Mitchell, and will probably lose Melton, Tillman, and McCown. At this point we are taking another step back on defense if we dont add an impact FA. That scares me.

Listening to Hub on the score today he talked about a couple of changes to watch for. We all know JA wants to bring in Marinelli as he mentioned it during the press conference. Marinelli didn't do so well in DET, but I can't say that says alot about his coaching abilty as much as the organizations ability to commit to his philosophy. Marinelli was our first choice when we brought in Lovie to run the D, but Tampa refused. His coaching style is about having discipline and working hard and those are two things I think killed our D this year. Hub didn't say the Bears would bring him in to be the D Coordinator, but as the D Line coach with an assistant head coach title, o…

I don't think I have ever been this unexcited about Bears playoff football. This is a 5-win team that fell out of a dumpster fire to make the playoffs. I would be shocked if the Bears look any different than they did against the Packers. Saints 31-13

For s's and gigles...I emailed this on 12/7/07 to some fellow Bears fans/friends... I hope all the pictures come through... ************************************** Please BEAR with me as I need to vent... THIS TEAM IS PATHETIC! THE OWNERSHIP IS PATHETIC! THE MANAGEMENT IS PATHETIC! THE COACHING STAFF IS PATHETIC! THE PLAYERS ARE PATHETIC! There is no heart, no soul. Only the cashing of paychecks and the crushing of fans' hopes. Until further notice, I will not attend a game the Bears play, in Chicago or elsewhere until I see a coaching change. Let's see, we have Life-Support-Lovie as head coach... ...who can't make halftime …

according to ESPN radio the Sun-times is reporting he is signed 6yrs 72 million with 37 million guaranteed

I've never seen a guy quit on his team like I'm seeing from Jay tonight. Sure, the line is playing poorly but close to half the sacks thus far are purely ON JAY. Probably more. And his body language is totally unacceptable. If I were Lovie I'd bench him. Roll him out, go to shorter drops. Jesus, this isn't rocket science!

Can someone who was there enlighten me on what was going on during the National Anthem? Instead of it being hyped up, I thought it was pretty disrespectful for people to cheer during the National Anthem. Either sing along or STFU. Maybe someone can change my perspective on this based upon what was actually going on at Soldier Field.

And he didn't make one tackle all game! Bring on McCown!

With only a few days until the draft are you getting excited or do you have anxiety? All the conjecture and BS stops on draft night. Are the anti-Williams folks resigned to the choice or still hoping for a last minute surprise? Is your focus more on the second pick at this point? I’m hoping for an Offensive Tackle myself More importantly, how are you feeling about the season? Things should be much improved but we’ll have a rookie QB. There are obvious exceptions but usually that’s a tough first year. Lastly, are there any FA’s left that you’d add depending on what happens in the draft?

The early line has the Bears as +4.5 Dogs coming out of the bye. I think the line will shift as we get closer and determine the health of Daniels and McLaurin. Washington plays in LA at 3:25pm on Sunday, so they have to travel back home, but get an extra day of rest for MNF. So they very well could be 2-3 heading into the matchup with the Bears. The Commanders' offense is still putting up points, even with Mariota at QB. They scored 27 and lost to ATL, yet Mariota only threw for 156 yards. They had 147 rushing yards, which is what kept them in the game. The Bears need to shore up the run defense, especially if Daniels is back. Too early for predictions. W…

https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-what-the-advanced-analytics-say-about-mitchell-trubiksy I really don't get all the national hate for Trubisky. He is a nice kid, says the right things, isn't overly cocky or arrogant, and has played pretty damn well considering the circumstances (Fox/Loggains era). I find it funny when people compare him to Rodgers, Stafford, Cousins, etc. All vets. The funny thing is to check out their stats before they were all 25. Before his 25-yr old season, Cousins played in 3 games, started 1 game, and had a total of 4 TDs, 3 INTs and 466 passing yards. In his first two years, he was 1-3, with 8 TD, 10 INT and 1320 passing yards. …

I've thought all along round #2 was the perfect spot for a 5 technique. We struck gold their with Goldman last year and the draft is much deeper. On a side note, Atlanta and Oakland both made deep reaches at safety in Neal and Joseph. i don't know what to think of that, but it helps the Bears in solidifying the defensive front.

One of the better Olines in the NFL, and how was it built? LT, Joe Staley- 6 years exp.-28th player chosen. LG,Iupati-3 years exp.-43rd player taken. C, Goodwin-11years exp.-FA from NO RG, Boone-3 years exp.-Undtrafted FA- projected as a RT RT, Anthony Davis-3 years exp.-11th player taken-Drafted as a LT The point to all of this is 2 #1 draft picks, 1 2nd, one UDFA, and a FA. Staley,Iputai, Davis started from day 1. Boones first year starting and Goodwin has started 5 years of his 11 year career You have to have high drafts pick that make it play on your line, SF has 3. Then you can fit in a couple around him. For us, if we drafted right…

Goodell and finances I agree with him. It's ridiculous. The amount these guys get paid is crazy, but to see a rookie get it is that much more insane. Some will argue about capitalism, but it's not an equal comparison. If it were, there would be bidding wars on each player coming straight out of college, there would be no cap, and the NY teams would be in the playoffs for 20 straight years like in baseball. It'll be so nice to see rookies actually have to do something to get paid, and not crap the bed, costing their franchise tons of money without production.

Well....this is the question that lurks in all of our minds... We have all suffered through defeats and losses...waiting since 1985/1986 for a Super Bowl..... So...what say you, learned friends, about how we will do this year? One can never predict injury....but. I say, if we stay injury free, or relatively, we will definitely be NFC Champs. And...if Cutler steps up and shows his best, we might just be able to hit the big one!
