With all the talk about tools like Burress, jail time up in the air, Matt Jones, drug problems following him, and Marshall, women abuser, how about someone normal? These three are all talented but have issuses, I would like to throw another name in the hat, Drew Bennett. He is a big guy at 6'5", and doesnt have a criminal record. He has had some lnjuries the last two years, but his three years at Tenn, he averaged 61 receptions, 907 yards and 6 TDs. He has the ability to move the chains, in his last 217 receptions he has 158 first downs. None of us on here are pro scouts or work for a NFL team so we have to take our opinions as little valve in the scheme of things. The draft always intrigues me and spend a lot of time checking out draft sites, mock drafts,ect. and would have made different choices at every point of the draft, but it is like a hobby for me and not my job. I have liked what Emery has done in FAgency and will have to give him the benefit of the doubt and wait and see how this draft class turns out. The Bears did not have a TE with 100 yards receiving for the year for the first time since the 1960s. This has to be a priority to fix in the offseason. Realistically, Burton is back given his cap # and, hopefully, he can be the player he was in 2018 but they need to bring in another veteran. Shaheen and Sowell can go. Peace

Feed up with dumb defense play. Either get a real defensive coordinator or lovie should take over full time. I have this feeling that nobody is taking personal ownership of the defense.

Former Cowboys RB coach Skip Peete has joined the Bears' staff as RB coach.

They will start rookie Mac Jones. I mention this because it will muddy the waters for the Bears as they try to trade Foles. Chances are a team can sign Newton on a cheaper one year deal as a backup.

This young man is really trying his luck. evidently he is okay after losing control of what was described as a vintage auto and he had 2 others in the car and both are also okay. I guess he is originally from Portland as he played prep football there.The report stated that he was not impaired and that he was cooperative with the police.

Random thoughts from watching the Senior Bowl QBs... Graham Harrel flat out sucks and won't get drafted. I don't think I've ever seen a QB with a weaker arm, not even in high school. Rhett Bomar looked ok at times, seems to have enough arm strength to play in the league and showed some decent athleticism, his accuracy was way off on some plays. This would be a huge signing. He was one of the RGs I wanted at the beginning of free agency once they missed out on Bates. Very reliable and not many penalties. Would be a plug-and-play RG and instant upgrade there. A Whitehair-Patrick-Schofield interior would be very solid and an upgrade at basically 2 positions from last year (Patrick > Mustipher, Schofield > Daniels).

Watching the Year-End College games, I cannot help but list my takes. First, the College system for games tied at end of regulation is awesome. BOTH teams have a chance to win in overtime, not just the team who is lucky enough to win a coin toss and get a TD, leaving the loser of the coin toss frustrated. Why in the hell doesn't the NFL wake up and make changes? Second, Colleges are basically the NFL's minor league system. Our developmental league. So why in the hell do they have different rules?
