Here's a topic - I think Pace should have signed Robinson to a long term deal. Of course I don't know what he was asking, but if it was fair market value, I think it was a mistake not to sign him and give Fields that receiver to grow with long term.

A somewhat interesting nugget came out about Moses. It sounds like he was asked to play LT and wanted to stay at RT, so he signed with the Jets. Several interesting takes. LT's make a lot more than RT's, so I wonder if it was for the same amount, so he didn't want to switch without a raise? Was he depth at LT and wanted to start? My assumption is Jenkins at LT and Ifedi at RT with Borom backing him up. So LT makes sense if you were bringing him in as insurance and depth. I don't how much the Bears could gauge on the progress of Jenkins without pads and basically 3 weeks of walk-throughs.

Through 4 games we have watched the Tight Ends be a non-factor in this so called Tight End Centric Offense! Sunday they were part of max-protection and a couple of lead blocks and a couple of targets to Kmet. That clearly wasn't the head coach calling the plays because those "Wild Cat" formations were a total surprise to the defense and us viewers! It is amazing when a QB has protection plus "Fitting" play calling what they can do, be it Andy Dalton or Justin Fields. We brought in more speed to stretch the field and today it showed. The right side of the OL and the rookie QB continue a trend that was happenning in the preseason of allowing pressure from the QB's front si…

14 Pryor S 51 Easley DT 82 Desir CB 117 Anthony Johnson DT 156 De Anthony Thomas RB 183 Vinnie Sunseri SS 191 Dontae Johnson CB I resisted my QB pick because this is the team that went with 2 QBs on the final 53 man roster. I don't think they'll make the same move this year but they already have 3 they are touting. I'm figuring Easley will be the WTF moment since he is coming of injury but Emery is going for it his way because he knows at his age this may be his only chance to do this.

With my recent talks of spending big on Bennett I figured I'd throw out an ideal mock offseason. STARTING CAP MONEY- 8.4M (per Brad Biggs) RELEASE (w/ Cap savings) Peppers (9.8M) Bush (1.8M) Bennett (2.4) Podlesh (1M) (Kept Weems just because he's a good ST player and only clears a mill) CAP MONEY AFTER CUTS- 23.4 EXTEND Marshall 3 years 7M/12M/15M (saves 2M) CAP MONEY AFTER EXTENSION- 25.4 SIGN (all numbers are cap hits) Michael Bennett- 4 years 8m/10m/12m/14m (DE Seahawks) Corey Wootton 1 year 1.5M Nate Collins 1 year 500k Jay Ratliff 2 years 2M/2.5M DJ Williams 1 year 1M Blake Costanzo 1 year 1M …

It was reported that the St. Louis Rams FS Oshiomogho Atogwe (shoulder, hernia) had reconstructive shoulder surgery following the season and is also fighting a sports hernia, so maybe this was the reason we did not go after him.

I've been watching, anybody else? Walter should be #1. Misssed one game, hardley ever ran out of bounse, kept in on third and long because he could run, pass, block, catch, not like some rb that could only run. He could punt, return kickoffs, played in 2 shorten seasons (could of had more yards). Was the clasiest player on and off the field. Saved thousands of peoples lives by his death(thousands became organ donars because of what he went thru) What else? He was already voted best #34 in nfl history.

Short and simple, the Cubs sucked but made moves that secured a future. Should the Bears just accept sucking for another year, maybe even tank? There are countless articles about how Epstein built the Cubs. I like this one a good bit: http://www.bleachernation.com/2014/02/19/b...sting-the-plan/ Having said that, maybe that's the plan all along? The Glennon 1-year deal fits. The build up to next year's mega-QB class fits. If the Bears get a top 2-3 pick, that's going to bring a windfall of action. They'll likely get way more back than they gave up this year to get Trubisky. Use a sharpie to pencil in Trubisky as the starter in '18, stack the team with fr…

Last night on MNF they showed a stat on teams with the highest winning % since 2005. The Giants and the Bears were basically tied at the top of that list!! the Bears had one more loss than the Giants but the same amount of wins. What the Bears did not have is a damn Super bowl win! take that for what it is worth I guess but Lovie and this crew have been getting the Bears winning seasons.

http://www.chicagobears.com/news/ChalkTalk...p?STORY_ID=8696 With the Bears signing punt and kickoff returner Eric Weems, do you think they will—dare I say it—look to trade Devin Hester? Why else would they add a Pro Bowl return specialist? The Bears didn’t sign Eric Weems because they wanted to push Devin Hester out the door or reduce his role. They’ve always believed in having as many good returners on the roster as possible, and that’s why they made the move. Weems, who was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2010 as a special teams player, also has excelled covering punts and kickoffs. I recently asked general manager Phil Emery about Hester’s role and he said: “…

http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/...5247,full.story Marshall has a connection to a "nondescript setting where pro athletes could hang out and bring women while visiting Orlando — away from the view of the media." that was described as a "home as a place NFL pros go "if they want to step out on their girlfriends and their wives ... outside of anywhere else where media might catch them."... And there were "reports that high-quantity drug deals were transacted there.". The house was involved in a shooting, Marshall was not involved in that from what I can tell but there could be some possible backlash if the house was indeed involved in high-quantity dru…

The analysts, beat writers of the national sports media outlets are the biggest culprits and if you listen closely to them they back peddle after they make they're claims. This year more than ever before the info has been flowing in a different directions everyday. The NFL Network is the worst at it as they try to scoop the others plus create a buzz for the league.

Martz sheds light on hiring process February, 1, 2010 Feb 16:40PM CTEmail Print Share By JEFF DICKERSONFT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- New Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz just shared some insight on the whole hiring process during a conference call with Chicago media members. "Lovie was very clear from the beginning this was going to take time for him to go through step by step," Martz said. "He did it the right way, especially since he got the job done. He was very clear about this from the very beginning." Martz detailed his meeting with Jay Cutler last week in Nashville, where in addition to having dinner, to two had some serious football related discussio…

The media disrespect continues. According to draft order, the bears finished 23rd ranked in the NFL. Not bad considering it was year two of a complete rebuild. We played the last half of theseason as a top fifteen team. Fast forward to the 2024 season and the preseason rankings have arrived. In comes The Athletic, ranking us at 24! As the slander and liable continues, please post rankings you find. I want to uproot this incompetence early, so we can nail them to it later.
