Pretty good insite to what is holding back a winner. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/chi-0...,6671947.column Dan McNeil 11:34 p.m. CST, December 3, 2009 E-mail Print Share Text Size As another year of the poorly produced soap opera "All My Bears" winds down, speculation on which cast members return for the 2010 season has been riveting. For the first time in a long time, the prospect of a new executive producer and director is real. Bear Nation is buzzing. Virginia McCaskey, nearing 87, can make her Papa Bear proud by pulling perhaps her last string to bring a precipitously sinking franchise back to respectability and regain the trust of a t…

Bodden drawing interest from four teams Mar 5 3/5/2010 8:28:05 AM | More Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times reports via Twitter CB Leigh Bodden is drawing interest from the following teams: Houston, Seattle, New England, Pittsburgh, according to a league source. www.theredzone.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Maybe we could finally put Tillman at Safety? If we are unable to land Rolle/Atogwe... Of course Id rather have a real FS which there are two available

This was talked about in the off-season and then it got shelved when we went after big targets in FA. I"m glad to hear it's back on the table and hopefully something gets done soon. When this is done it'd be nice to see the Bears extend Amos as well. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bears/bears-working-re-sign-goldman-factor-linchpin-their-top-10-defense

First drive: 1. Howard Run, no gain, off tackle, a little misdirection 2. TE Screen to Burton for 8 yards (Burton looks good) 3. Howard Run for the first 1. Incomplete pass to Cohen on the outside 2. Missile to Burton for 19 yards, first down (Burton looks really good) 1. Pass to Shaheen, Shaheen comes up limping, looks like he rolled his right ankle, defensive penalty for lowering head, first down 1. Deep pass to White, thrown out of the end zone from the 45 by Trubisky, a lot of time, no one open 2. Awesome fake reverse to Howard for 15 yards, negated by Leno holding 2. Trey Burton with a nice out for 10 on 2nd and 20 3. Blitz, quick t…

I read a story talking about maybe Joe Kim was our biggest addition this off season. To give credit SCS has mentioned his name many times. So I look at the improvement of his addition to KC where he worked from 2010-2012. In 2009 KC had 22 sacks. 4-12 In 2010 it rose to 39 sacks. Almost double the sack total. 10-6 In 2011 it went to 29. 7-9 In 2012 27. 2-14 As I looked further, the team as a whole had a good year in 2010 because of an improved offense. Cas…

I think it's clear that he has to go. To me, it seems almost as if he has lost the locker room, and that he's been way too soft on the players. Not only were our players getting tossed around like rag dolls today, they showed no emotion and no heart. I place that directly on the HC. It's obvious he hasn't been doing a good job and the D was more successful under Ron Rivera. Change is needed and I'm all for it. While I would fire Lovie and the whole coaching staff, I would keep Angelo for at least 2 more years. As for who I would hire as a replacement for Lovie, it would likely be Cowher (if he wanted to return to the NFL). I like Spagnola, but it looks like he has p…

  9. PRO DAY RESULTS: Free safety Quentin Scott impressed scouts from eight teams at Northern Iowa's pro day on March 31st. Scott (6-3 7/8, 224) worked out as both a defensive back and a wide receiver and put together a really good workout. He ran a 4.40-second and 4.45-second 40-yard dash, had a 35-inch vertical leap, 10-1 broad jump, 4.18-second short shuttle, 6.88-second three-cone drill and completed 13 bench press repetitions at 225 pounds. His arms were measured at 34 5/8 inches. Ten of Scott's teammates and two players from small area schools also worked out indoors on Mondo track.

http://chicagobearsfanforum.com/blog/?p=262 Very slow news week. Here's hoping things pick up with the Bears Expo this weekend. The Bears * The Chicago Tribune's Rick Morrissey wrote and interesting column on the Rex Grossman/Kyle Orton QB competition the other day. It expresses my point of view pretty well. But maybe it doesn't. But maybe it does... * Pat Kirwan at NFL.com writes about camp battles to keep an eye on, highlight among others, the batle betwen Grossman and Orton: Then, of course, there are the head-to-head battles between veterans that should have happened years ago but finally will take place in 2008.…

As for Harrison, he will be a project but, Hiestand is a good tutor. My alternate pick at 105 is Kemeko Turay OLB Rutgers.

I think TE is a position we could address in the 3rd Rd if the right player is there. Dawson Knox has the athletic talent and size you want at the position but he's raw in his route running and blocking. Plus his team and QB didn't utilize him much so the production isn't there. All of which places him as a late 3rd Rd, or maybe even 4th Rd prospect. I had to watch 3 games to see him get some passes thrown his way but he makes several good catches against Kentucky. It's easy to envision him running the same routes as Trey Burton, or running any route faster than Shaheen. https://thedraftnetwork.com/2019/02/12/2019-nfl-draft-player-profile-dawson-knox/

BR and TDN had Newsome at 183 and 182 respectively, which was almost 40 picks earlier than the actual pic…
