thought this worth sharing Bears traded 37th overall pick in 2007 to #Chargers who drafted Eric Weddle. Bears got back 2nd, 2 3rds and a 5th rd pick from SD Bears turned those picks into Dan Bazuin, Garrett Wolfe, Kevin Payne, Marcus Harrison. Weddle just agreed to richest safety contract in NFL

Biggs has said that the Bears are flat out not involved in any discussions for Boldin. Period.

*WARNING LONG POST* The Bears recent history with OCs is one of the main reasons why this team has struggled and caused so many HCs to be fired (Lovie). It has been ugly. It could be tied to the run on bad QB play, but it also could be the reason for that bad QB play. The last OC to be in position more than 2 years was Ron Turner from 2005-2009. Before Turner, you have to go back to Turner's first stint with the Bears (93-96) to find an OC that was in position for 4 years. Tremendous win for the Bears. We're 2-1 after going on long road trips to both coasts in back to back weeks. We've done this with a depleted offense missing two Oline starters against the best front 3 in the NFL (Jets), and against one of the better Dlines (SF) and the WR injuries we all know about. We still had good pass protection most of the game but had a few missed assignments throughout the game. I would assume we are going to keep a FB by having two on the roster. Probably means we only keep 3 RBs? Cunningham probably doesnt make the cut.

As I was watching the highlights of Forte today on nfl.com, I couldn't help but notice that John Tait was great today. He had a great block sealing off a defender on his 13 yard TD run, and the key block that sprung it all loose on the 47 yard TD run. Props to John on his best game of the year (and props to the rest of the OL on a great game, as well).

One glaring weakness in Trubisky's game is the lack of rushes. He has played in 5 games (4 full) and has 5 rushes for 21 yards. Chase Daniel has 6 rushes. Mike Davis has 9. He had 7 rushes for 32 yards against GB last year in one game. In his first 5 full games, he had 25 carries for 164 yards and 1 TD. He needs to run the ball. For QBR purposes, Trubisky has -0.9 running which is on par with Cousins, Keenum, and Winston. His overall QBR is 34.2 (50.0 is average QB). Last year Mitch had a QBR of 71.0, 3rd to only Mahomes and Brees. His Run QBR was a 22.1. Last year his passing was 43.1, this year it's down to 2.4. He was just on Sirius radio and said he wants more than Jahri Evans' $56 million. He also said he hasn't talked to the Saints about a new deal. Sorry, but $60 million for a guard is too much.

I have no idea why he was kept on the staff, but when every Offensive Lineman that leaves improves, there is only one common denominator. I wish this was satire, but somehow guys like Lucas Patrick (who was the worst OL player in the NFL last year magically becomes the best OG in the NFL in one offseason?).
