Now that we all know, let's fix it. The great rebuild is what we thought it would be. Painful. While I'm good with the pain, I'm not good with how it's being dispensed. I get the feeling that Poles and Eberflus are using this season to evaluate Fields instead of develop him. That being said, they are probably trying to see what he's good and bad at, so they can put the appropriate talent around him to succeed. What I want them to do is gameplan around what he does best for him to succeed. It's a subtle difference that can have a happy medium. Some die-hard fans are unwilling to accept the fact that the Bears are no longer "cheap" and are willing to pay up to give us a good team. Those who acknowledge that we are not the Bear penny pinchers of the past always come back with a "but we spend the money unwisely", an argument that has some foundation, IMO. Emery is making moves to make sure we do indeed spend our money wisely, increase our quality of drafts and FA acquisitions, by overhauling the Scouting System we have had in place, and I am sure the additional staff and internal promotions cost the owners a good chunk of change. A quarter of the season is already over. Lets take a look at the offensive and defensive statistics through the first 4 games of the season. Since week 1 Cutler is 66-93 for 624 yards 8td's(1rush) I INT for a QB rating of 109.7 and comp pct of 70.9%. Its amazing how much the media was bashing him after the GB game and now all of sudden there tone is completely different lol.

The Bears signed Maurice Jones a CB, kind find much about him, but is a rookie, UDFA player. They did this after Dropping Andre Fluellen/DT back to the old drawing board with the DT position.

I'm 46 , so I grew up with Soundgarden from 1989 until today. They were my favorite band. It's a sad day for rock. I listened to many a Soundgarden song after watching Bears games...either to feel the joy or the anguish.

This is from Biggs trib article, 10 thoughts, which is usually one of my favorite reads. I really like Herring and I said all off-season that our LB corps were total stinkers and was a huge position of need. I'd say it is the weakest position on the entire roster. Herring would seem to agree. I bolded one part for added emphasis.

To whom it may concern. I quit with cable or Direct TV several yrs ago. I just have the internet and an antenna . I do a couple streaming services. The only NFL games I dont get are on ESPN. Last yr I subscribed to NFL+. It was 40 a year and I got every primetime games, and access to non area games on all devices but not TV. This yr NFL+ premium for 80 a yr allows you to watch the NFL network, The RedZone and access to all games being played on all devices plus TV. Can watch all games in reruns and access to all 22 narrative games. I use to pay 140 a month, now my TV and internet with a couple streaming services is 60 a month. 80 for the yr seems like a good deal for me…
