Well, opening day happened, and Leno was the starting LT, so Stringer was right, he won the bet and I lost. I also think Leno played Ok today. He had a couple bad moments, but by and large, I give him a B. I'll still reserve judgement to see how he holds up against other pass rushers he will face, so as to whether I am right that he needed to go or was too hasty, I suppose that remains to be seen. I still get to complain about him if he sucks again LOL But today, he played OK, and Stinger was right, and won the bet.

As far as comparing the teams, take a look DBs; I think we have talent with AJAK, Fuller and Johnson LBs; Devin White and Smith are very similar and Levonta David is better than Trevathan but its not a great difference as you think. Edge; Would you rather have Barrett and JPP or Mack and Quinn ? If you take this year away, I would say at least a tie if not in our favor. IDL; Vea and Suh or Goldman and Hicks, that's in our favor. Now that we have Cutler and a few Oline players what do we need? Well I for one think that we need a big fast WR to throw to, someone in the mold of Burress. Not necessariliary Burress himself but maybe a guy like Kelly, Robiske in the draft to take some heat off of Hester. Cutler said that he is going to make Bennett better this year since they have played together and Williams will be blocking for him also. But what I really want to see is Turner throwing out his old playbook and get a grip to what his team can really do, and make plays for those down and distance calls. It is common to get a chop block on the outside when a team wants a quick WR screen or inside slant. This should increase chances of getting to the QB too because OTs who get beat to the edge can't dive out there to take out the legs of the DE or LB. I expect some linemen will struggle with this and some RBs who like to dive into the knees of oncoming defenders instead of squarely taking on the player.

I do this topic each year. Here's my nightmare draft: 1. Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio St - With Fuller, Prince, Cooper, and LeBlanc, I don't think it's really a big problem. There are much bigger holes at S, T, and DE. And there are much better players available at two of those positions. 2. A great analysis of the NFL schedules over at SharpFootballAnalysis.com. Bears have 17th toughest schedule but have the 4th easiest in terms of opposing defenses. This bodes well for our offense, it should really explode this year. Expect some high scoring games. Like the Panthers, the Bears’ offense might be able to capitalize on its early (Week 5) bye. He is so important to this team. He has to be one of the most undervalued RB in the league. Currently he is leading the league in rushing. If he keeps this up over the course of the year showing no signs of slowing down the Bears better think about resigning him. I get that RB's after 30 slow down and hope Forte's contract demands are not too high. Maybe he would give the Bears a home town discount.

Between all the injuries (Goldman), suspensions (Freeman), he had little competition for this award but he is still well deserving of it. In fact even moreso because he was often the main threat for an offense to stop and he still produced.
