From Larry Mayer on the Chicago Bears website: Perhaps the most demoralizing aspect of Sunday's game for the Bears was that they didn't lose to a future Hall of Famer such as Brett Favre or Rodgers but to an inexperienced quarterback in Brett Hundley who was making only his fourth NFL start. Hundley deserves credit for his performance—he threw for 212 yards with one touchdown and a 110.8 passer rating—but he obviously is not one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history like his two predecessors. The Bears have now lost their last eight games to the Packers at Soldier Field beginning with the 2010 NFC Championship Game and are 4-21 at home versus Green Bay sin…

Without our passing game, and against a stout running defense, do we have a shot and ending the 8-0 streak. This is gonna be a grind it out running game. Which really sucks now that Orton is out. We pass all over the Titans and force them to have the great Kerry Collins beat us, really sucks Anyway, did anyone else's stomach turn when you saw grossman with a helmet on....

Well the Bears look good. And it appears they are going to be deep. Some of these UDFA's are pretty good. Going to be hard picking who stays and who goes.

  8. 1. They went after Willie Colon, i know it didnt work out but it at least shows that the Bears FO is trying to upgrade our Oline. Hopefully they contiune trying to sign someone else. 2. They signed Roy Williams. I know he has his issues but he is tall and has speed and most importantly he knows the Martz system, if he is ready to show everyone he is more then the fluff we have seen the last couple of years he should be able to get out to t quick start. 3. I like the Gholston pick up, some may not but im excited to see what he can do when put back at the DE position. 4. Olsen, i would have liked for the Bears to keep him. but who knows if Olsen would have stayed afte…

Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I would point out this involves the personnal conduct policy, which the bears have come up against before, and could one day again, and thus can be argued this is Bears related. There will be those who say if Ben isn't convicted (or even charged) Goodell should not do anything, but I disagree. Especially in a criminal case like rape, it is very difficult to prove guilt. Look at past cases that hit public like this, and often the victim becomes the accuses. She is called a whore or whatever. Anyway, it isn't unusual for a case like this not to make it to court due to how difficult it is to prove. With that said, the…

IMHO to beat the Buc we must run the ball at least 30 times and use our height at TE in the red zone, because we are going to get there against this team. DO NOT GIVE MCKIE THE BALL ON 3RD OR 4TH AND 1 OR TWO! We need to use the famous play action bootleg pass to the TE that always works. If we did last week we would have won that game. 4th and one and the team is stacked for the run and a hand off to the slow a$$ fullback. Who did Turner think McKie was Jim Brown, Franco Harris,Walter, Barry.....who!!!!! LOL

Okay, this is not a complain thread. There are plenty of those which I have plenty of comments on. My question is this. We have about $34m in cap space. It was reported to be around $30m, then it was reported the cap went up another $4m for all teams, thus $34m. Each year, we spend close to our entire cap allowance, if not the full amount. That doesn't mean we use it all up loading up on FAs, but on paper, we do use up all our space. This year, we simply do not have the in-house players really due to be extended, which has used up a ton of our cap space in recent years. So where are we going to use our $34m? While we have seen a slow start, I would assume we …

...and Ron Turner is being made to look good by poor weather conditions and a REALLY stupid opposing ST coach. Makes me wonder: Is Turner the problem or is it a bad O-line? The O-line is performing well today and Turner's calls have been very good although conservative. I'm just enjoying some early holiday cheer and fun to watch football. Hope the Bears pile it on the Packers to get some frustration out. I'd like to see another 63-7 final score.

I know its slow and this may have been talked about before but I just want to see what you think about our team with who stays and who goes. QB Blanchard, Cutler, McCown, The three make the team RB Allen, Bush, Ford, Forte, Unga, Unga gets cut but there might be a battle between Ford and Allen, I would keep Ford FB Fiammetta He stays TE Adams, Bennett, Eldridge, Maneri, Miller, Onobun, With Bennett the catcher,Maneri the blocker that leaves one maybe two spots open.I look for Miller and Eldridge to get canned first WR Anderson, Aromashodu, Bennett, Golden, Jackson, Jeffery, Lenz, Marshall, Toliver, Weems, Wilson, …

Who would you take if we had the #1 overall pick? I'd take Crabtree. It's just the Fitzgerald factor- after watching him over the playoffs, I think he's the closest thing to Fitz that's come out in a while- good size, good hands, not overwhelming speed, quiet guy, etc.

The draft is over and the Bears did not address QB until afterwards with Hanie and Hill. Let's discuss what they should do now. My thoughts: - Rex and Kyle are going to battle it out for starter. Whomever wins out gets extended if they succeed. - Wait for FA Qbs to hit the market from teams like Tampa (Simms, McCown, and Gradkowski may all be released) and bring in a 3rd stringer. - Put Hill and Hanie both on the practice squad. We have 8 spots and 1 to 2 should be devoted to QB going forward. Going forward, the Bears should bring in an asst QB coach (we have an asst DB coach, why not one for our most important position). Finally, the Bears o…

Jay Cutler to Devin Hester: Already in sync Chicago Bears combo hit stride quickly David Haugh | On the Bears June 4, 2009 One play into Wednesday's full-team Bears scrimmage session confirmed the most interesting bit of progress at Halas Hall still three months before the 2009 season-opener. Jay Cutler glided back into a seven-step drop, set his feet in a pocket protected by left tackle Orlando Pace, and peered downfield where wide receiver Devin Hester had gotten a step on his defender. For aesthetic purposes, ignore for a moment that cornerback Zack Bowman was limited in how physical he could get with Hester in this non-contact drill. But that …
