PRO DAY RESULTS: Free safety Quentin Scott impressed scouts from eight teams at Northern Iowa's pro day on March 31st. Scott (6-3 7/8, 224) worked out as both a defensive back and a wide receiver and put together a really good workout. He ran a 4.40-second and 4.45-second 40-yard dash, had a 35-inch vertical leap, 10-1 broad jump, 4.18-second short shuttle, 6.88-second three-cone drill and completed 13 bench press repetitions at 225 pounds. His arms were measured at 34 5/8 inches. Ten of Scott's teammates and two players from small area schools also worked out indoors on Mondo track.

Like Brian Bear, I will continue with my mock's each week with were I see the team and there biggest needs. As of right now, this team can very easily be 3-0. The players on the field isn't the biggest flaw IMO, so far it's been coaching. Lovie and Co. are out of excuses, this regime has been in place for 4 years now and the teams concept has been figured out and they are too stubborn to make any changes. It also seems whatever needs JA addresses, Lovie and Co can't seem to find the time of day to implement the tools JA gives and those tools (players) go to waste. Here's my wish list for 2024. Ryan Poles GM Ben Johnson HC Vic Fangio DC asst HC Joe Brady OC Poles has done a great job of bringing in talent, despite the bungling of Flus. I'm not sure if the failure of Getsy is a result of Flus being too conservative or Getsy just not getting it. Too bad you sad. You had your shot. I'm sure Poles has already passed judgement on Justin. What he thinks, I don't know. But, for some reason, I trust him. Regardless of anything, Flus has to go. There is no room in the NFL for conservative coaches. Modern players just don't respond to it.

it's a new era in the nfl. gambling cartels in all probablility decide who wins games and who loses or at least the spread on points and probably about a hundred different things that can be bet upon. it's not even close anymore. the refs can choose to shave points or decide who wins or loses on selective penalties and calls during multiple games every week. they control the clock and the flow of each and every game which in turn controls the scores or other gambling points. is there any investigation into these allegations? certainly not. too much money is involved. the nfl itself is either complicit with this or just plain stupid, the same is for the owners. t…

While there's the immediate notion that Rosenass clients are "waiting it out," don't forget that Dez Clark is a Rosenass client and he was able to get a deal done today. That means the other 3 are definitely waiting until free agency. To me it seems incredibly likely we'll lose all three. I think TE is a position we could address in the 3rd Rd if the right player is there. Dawson Knox has the athletic talent and size you want at the position but he's raw in his route running and blocking. Plus his team and QB didn't utilize him much so the production isn't there. All of which places him as a late 3rd Rd, or maybe even 4th Rd prospect. I had to watch 3 games to see him get some passes thrown his way but he makes several good catches against Kentucky. I personally think AROB is a top 5 or 6 best WRs in the league. Having said that, for the 18.6 mil it will take just to tag him this year should we? How about sign a Cory Davis made 6 mil last year, ( maybe 10 m) and Curtis Samuel who made 1.6 last year (6 mil contract for this year) and throw in a Phillip Dorsett 1.2 mil this year (3 mil contract). None are as good as AROB but gives us a upgraded WR room, for almost the same money. That way we can concentrate on upgrading the OL and a QB prospect in the draft.

Comparing position groups, the teams look fairly similar outside of one or two players. QB - Burrow (coming off ACL) vs Fields RB - Mixon/Perine vs Monty/Herbert TE - Uzomah vs Kmet WR - Chase/Higgins/Boyd vs Mooney/Pringle/Harry/Jones OL - Williams/Spain/Carman/Hopkins/Reiff vs Reiff/Whitehair/Patrick/Schofield/Jenkins WR Group is where the Bengals have a huge advantage ceiling, however, they didn't really have a WR4. For O-Lines, the Bears have a better O-Line than the Bengals did last year. You can call the other 3 groups washes, so Cincy has a slight advantage on offense due to the skill level of their top 3 WRs. Mooney would be the only one of ours …

In the next couple games, Forte could eclipse the 10,000 yards total mark for the Bears. Currently he sits at 6,748 yards rushing and 3.005 yards receiving. That's amazing considering he is only in the beginning of his 7th year and has missed a few games with injury.

Rumors circulating around that Chip Kelly wants to opt out of his contract after the dismissal of his buddy Tom Gamble. Gamble + Kelly? Too good to be true. I would absolutely love it, but I could see Chip going back to college if there is not a perfect situation out there.

You would think with the Bears done interviewing 4 candidates, that some of the candidates would at least start getting informed that the Bears are going to head in a different direction (and at least than, those groups would start leaking info). I guess the question is, do the Bears think they need 2nd round interviews with certain candidates or did they get to spend enough time with them in 1 interview. How come the Chicago media can't figure out when Bowles is interviewing? I figure something gets leaked prior to his interview.
