  3. The Bears have hired Dwayne Stukes and Sean Desai to be the assistant ST coach and one of the defensive QB coaches, respectively. Stukes played in the NFL, NFL Europe, and the AFL and last coached in the NFL in 2011 as Tampa Bay's ST coach. Sean Desai has been in the college ranks including times at Miami, Boston College, and Temple. This is interesting because he has an Indian last name. I wonder if 1) he is Indian and 2) how many other Indian coaches are in the NFL? They also have hired Tim Tibesar as the LB coach. He worked under Trestman for 3 years in Montreal and used to be the Purdue DC. (mods, can you edit this thread title to include Tibesar's name…

*based off of Chicago signing nobody in FA* 1. Lane Johnson, T, Oklahoma --I'm not a huge fan, but Johnson will be the best OT prospect left. He probably needs 2-3 years development to be an NFL LT. 2. Kyle Long, G, Oregon --Great bloodlines and a nasty player. One day, he might be an OT. Perfect. 4. Kevin Reddick, MLB, North Carolina --Reddick had a good career. His last year started slow but ended fast. He ended the year with 74 tackles, 6 TFL, 2 sacks, 5 PBU, and 1 INT. 5. Jasper Collins, WR, Mount Union --Small, lighting quick WR out of a school that shockingly produces good WR's. 6. Brian Schwenke, C, California --Center depth. Garza's contract is…

RT @ESPNChiBears: #Bears sign safety Tom Nelson to a one-year deal, per a league source. RT @ESPNChiBears: Nelson, a native of Arlington Heights, Ill., played high school ball at Hersey then at ISU. Spent 2 years w/#Bengals. Also time w/ #Eagles.

Urlacher makes a pretty strong case to re-sign him. I thought his wording was interesting. He seems to understand that to stay on this team, he is going to have to take a pay cut. I wouldn't mind bringing him back for a 2-year incentive laden deal. This would allow us to focus the draft on other needs. As my mind goes and I study more I have a new game plan for today anyway. We resign Scott, Louis, Melton, Roach. We pick up in FAgency Wheeler MLB.Bushrod LT, Donnie Avery WR In the draft I found a trade partner Cinn. They have two second round picks and have needs of a #2 WR and a MLB. So we trade our #20 for for #37 and #84 in the third round. Also a #6 as they have two in that round. #2 (37) Zack Ertz-TE-Stanford Need a definite upgrade at TE #2 (50) Larry Warford-OG-Kent A LG that will start from day one #3 (84) Kevin Reddick-MLB-NC A productive LB with speed #4 Brian Schwenke-OC-Cal Could take Garza spot as much as next…

So I was perusing a recent article in SI (and I believe Bleacher Report - OH THE HORROR!!) and saw a nugget about this kid out of Vanderbilt. Yes, that Vanderbilt. Anyhow "they" went on to say that he is a late round prospect (something like #18th rated in upcoming QB's). So the question to be asked, could he be a project QB that the Bears should/could entertain in later rounds...like 6 or 7? (Remember, Tom Brady was a 6th rounder). Anyhow, he is enticing not only because he is from Cutler's alma mater but also Aaron Rodgers little brother. And like the BR's article I read suggested, wouldn't that make for an interesting story line? http://www.greenbaypressgaz…

So who is going to win tonight? Who does everyone prefer? I like both teams really, love Baltimore's defence but San Francisco is a very solid and exciting team as well.... I have to go with Baltimore, they are veterans in the big games and the Ravens will be playing big for Lewis's last game.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/...start/#comments I hope he gets that fresh start. His mind wasn't in games according to him because he wasn't being used enough. He doesn't want to play offense for the Bears if he isn't traded. Let him go and free up some money for some O-Linemen. Trade him for Tebow or something, lol.

This is cool enough to share in a few places. This graphic from the Guardian shows how every team in the NFL has used its cap space, broken down by offense/defense and by position. One could waste a couple hours in this. Bears spent the 5th most on their offense in the league. Found that interesting.

According to rotoworld he'll be hitting the market... With the talks about the stress being on Guards Andy is the guy I want. He also played a little bit of LT last year and I hear he played it well. If they HAVE to kick him out there because Webb doesn't continue to improve then the possibility is there. Then trade down in the first to grab Barrett Jones who offers you even more versatility. Webb-Levitre-Garza-Jones-Carimi If Webb continues to grow, and Carimi was truly only terrible because he wasn't able to workout due to injury then I think that could be a pretty solid line....If James Brown also continues to grow then when Garzas time has…
