It's been a little quiet lately (besides reading the "great debates" by Wesson and Jason), so lets start a discussion on players that may surprise us a little by contributing more than we might expect in 2012. I'm gonna give an offensive and a defensive player that I think will make a mark on the 2012 season. Offensively, I think we will see some great plays this year and I hope Alshon Jeffery makes a mark, but the one guy I think that will surprise us all with making big plays is TE Evan Rodriguez. I think he will rack up a lot of YAC and be Cutlers check down and them two will develop great chemistry. Defensively, I think Shea McClellin will also make h…

If you all were watching MNF tonight, I guess the league is announcing that they are going to make a new rule effective immedietly that you will be suspended for a "Devastating" hit or a "Blow to the head." There having a big debate about it now on ESPN. This is a joke, a flat out joke. You can't legislate hitting in football. Now everything that these guys have been taught about hitting they can no longer do. So basically the next time Urlacher comes and lights up Roy Williams across the middle he's going to get suspended, even if he doesn't make contact with the helmet. If this crap goes on for more than this year I might give up watching the NFL. What this is is a tota…

Kid is doing what he needs to do to improve. He's going to be a good player for us but it will take some time. He sees it now though and understands what and where he needs to improve. Identifying that is the first step. http://www.csnchicago.com/bears/bears-want...t-dts-gave-them

I know the O-Line has issues and Caleb is a rookie QB, but Swift has been the least effective RB in the first 3 games of a season since 2009. The Bears are lucky to be 1-2 with his ineptitude. It is historically bad. The Bears needs to stick with Roschon and Herbert as the primary backs, then sprinkle in Swift on 3rd and longs. He is literally a drive killer. If you watch the drives that died, most of the time it was a terrible run by Swift that leaves the Bears in a bad down and distance, a dropped pass, etc. He has singlehandedly killed the Bears offensive rhythm. It is astounding really. If you look back at the previous games, it is the same thing. They wou…

The Denver Broncos have cut T. J. Ward, Pro Bowl strong safety. I know we got Demps in FA and drafted Jackson but I have to believe we have more than enough room and cap space to bring in a 30 year old player to bolster a position we have needed strengthening since Mike Brown departed. I would prefer a pro bowl CB or a OLT that is a big upgrade over what we currently have starting. However, since the likelihood of finding either at this stage is slim to none, T. J. Ward looks mighty fine to me.

Hi guys and ladies, I went out to T.C. Monday and came away optimistic about our defense. The players who really stood out were Lamarr Houston, Hayden, Fuller, and on offense wr's Williams and Wilson. It's the second day of pads and still early in T.C. so take for what it's worth. Houston is the real deal inside or out, thank God for the red shirts Qb's wear. It seems he goes all out every snap with BAD intentions in mind. J. Allen is what we expected I'm glad he's on our team now. Hayden doesn't show any signs of last years injury and is playing well. Fuller is still learning technique and scheme but shows why we drafted at #14. Safeties a…

This video will pump you up and has a good overview of an intense practice session. Take note that this team is on a mission as they bring it in after practice with the familiar chant from 2006 1..2..3.."MIAMI"! I think we are in for a special season and should be able to match up with anyone in the NFC. Reaching the Superbowl in Miami is not out of the realm of possibilites. http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/mul...lip=Y&rn=11

Bengals designated K Shayne Graham as their franchise player. While the cost to tag Graham ($2.483M) is far less than it would've been for T.J. Houshmandzadeh, this move essentially kisses Housh goodbye.

The Bills are 1-4 and by all means already out of it. That being said I could see Buffalo trading T.O. for a 3rd or 4th round pick mid season. I mentioned it today with my buddy on the phone and sure enough ESPN Insider has mentioned this. ESPN Insider Thoughts? Would you consider it? T.O., Knox, Hester, Bennett with Forte, Olsen and Clark. I'd do it!!

I’ve not found any updates on our two rookie tackles; I thought Borom was eligible to return after the Detroit game. Anyone have an update? Thanks in advance!
