I apologize, I can't recall the payouts... Does anyone know the final payouts for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place?

For a bit of entertainment pre-draft, now that all the combines are in, all the comp picks are in, and on and on...would people here have an interest in slapping together our own mock draft? The rules we've run previously are pretty simple. Everyone interested gets to sign up to be GM of a team...sometimes a couple teams if we can't pull off 30 some odd people willing to chime in. You can do whatever you want. Make trades with another person on the site for players or picks, let the clock expire and have your pick drop (I'd probably do something like a 24 hour deadline to get your pick in before the next person goes), etc. Basically, you go until …

Anyone interested in doing a community Mock Draft? We did one a few years ago and it was pretty successful. We can each pick a few teams and start picking until the draft starts and go as far as we can go.

Hi everyone! Last year's Talkbears mock draft was enjoyable enough for me that I figured WTH, I'll do it again. I'm open to formatting suggestions, but here's a basic outline. Each participant picks a team, or multiple teams if you'd like. From the moment we start, you're the GM. Hi Folks It's about that time of year to run our annual TalkBears Mock Draft, if we have people interested. Here's the general way we run it, but I'm more than happy to change based on suggestions. You get a team, you handle their draft as the GM. We can decide whether we want to allow trades or not. You get 24 hours on the clock, so sometimes picks come fast and then there's a small delay. If we start in a couple days, there's probably time to get 2 rounds in. Sadly, no one gets to be the Bears this year, since they're pickless, but that makes things easier on me. My choices for this version: 1. Aaron Maybin DE - We need to have some youth move in for Adewale and Alex real soon. I picked Maybin over English b/c Maybin has 2 more inches of height at 6-4". It was mentioned before that Mark Anderson was too small, but he's also listed at 6-4" were Wale=6-4, Brown=6-3". Larry English listed at 6-2" 2. Brian Robiskie WR - He's the sleeper of the litter at WR. Playing for a run oriented Buckeye team, Robiskie at 6-3 209 has nice size/speed combo. Since upgrading to IE 11 the text in the box you type in to post messages has run off the right side of the screen rather than wrapping around to begin a new line on the left of the box. It was very annoying. The solution is simple. If you have this happening go to the menu item TOOLS and select Compatibility View Settings. Click the ADD button to add this site to the list. Problem solved.

I thought it would be fun to do a weekly or bi-weekly draft poll. I used Walterfootball.com to give us a choice of where they have them ranked. Walterfootball has decent rankings and they update every Thursday. Tomorrows version should be interesting to see where players shift to since the combine. I might post Talk Bears Mock version II over the weekend once the mock draft web pages all get updated. I got a notice to sign up for the TalkBears2 FF League I participated in last year but noticed it was set up for Auto-Draft. If it is going to be an Auto-Draft, I am not interested. Can anyone confirm that it is indeed changed to Auto-Draft this year? Last year I did not realize until a few minutes before the draft started that players did not get a point per reception, which I prefer, but went ahead and played. My fault, should have been more attentive to the rules. I just want to make sure I do not sign up for an Auto-Draft league as I think they really suck.

W/ the draft so close, I wanted to take a fresh look at the OL. Here is my board. 1. Albert - I have him ahead of Clady, but ask me again tomorrow, and it could change. They are that close. While I think Clady has the most potential to start right away at LT, I simply think Albert is going to be a stud somewhere on the OL. IMHO, he has a ceiling of being a Walter Jones at LT, and a floor of Ruben Brown at OG. If we had no need for OG, I might edge Clady, but we need to hit on our 1st pick, and Albert is as close to a sure thing IMHO as any. 2. Clady is next, by a hair. In Clady, you have a prototypical LT prospect who might be able to start at LT as a roo…

OK, the SB is done. Laddi-fricken-da. I was bored. A close game doesn't mean it was a good game. There was nothing that went on that remotely felt like greatness. Just good-ness. Congrats to the Giants. They earned the victory. Now, we can focus on the Bears and next season! I'm totally chugging massive glasses of Kool-Aid! If this Giants team can win it, our Bears with an improved WR corps, better OL play, and an improved DL can do it! Hey, news is hard to come by this time of year for NFL fans. I found this article on a blog of a Bears fan and found it a bit interesting. It goes over how the cover 2 defense is suppose to work.
