If the Bears get the first pick and decide to trade out of it, here are some teams with draft capital and a need at QB. First off, I think once you get past 10, it is too much capital, so I will stick to the top 10 for now: 1. ARZ - Currently #2, could want to move up to secure their guy knowing someone will ultimately jump them. The value on something like this is tough, but 2x 2nd rounders would be the value based on the trade value chart. 2. WAS - Currently #3, Howell is benched, and they shedded some salary. This would now cost a future first with the swap and another mid round pick. Another option is the pick swap, Daron Payne and another high pick in 2025 (1s…

Cleveland is hunting, and wants to move up from 12. https://twitter.com/MikeSilver/status/857307213794349057 Pace has taken calls about the #3 pick. https://twitter.com/CEmma670/status/857251302572789762 Let's make it happen!! Cleveland gives their #12, their 2nd rounder, their 3rd rounder, and a 6th rounder to the Bears for #3.

Just checking the water temperature. First off before I get into this.... I do not believe WE are sellers, there is no sign in the front yard. However, that doesn't mean a buyer (other teams) wouldn't try to convince us to become one. Would you trade Fields before the deadline 31 Oct? If so, what compensation would it take to sway you to close the deal? I bring this up because I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears get some teams quietly asking if they'd consider a deal. If someone offered a 1st and more I'd have to listen. Whatever we may think of Bagent if he's middle of the road, which is where Fields might end up as a QB, then we can do a lot with 3 fi…

Rumor is the Patriots are asking for a 1st Rd pick for Matt Cassel. I'm not ready to give that up for a one year wonder, especially with the talent on that team as well the coaching staff. I don't watch Patriot's games so I really don't know how good he looked as a QB but he did put up some very impressive numbers in the second half of the season. I'd give up a 3rd Rd pick plus maybe a 6th Rd pick. What do you think he's worth?

I got the feedback on Cassell and it seemed to be about half for a trade and half against. In any case the draft pick had to no higher than a second or lower. Now there's some talk in Phoenix of the Cards considering trading Leinart. After getting to the playoffs I don't think they have a choice but to re-sign Warner and effectively make him the starter for next year. That means they can free up cap space and get another draft pick if they trade Leinart. My opinion is that Leinart doesn't have the work ethic to really succeed in the NFL. That might change as he gets older but I wouldn't bet on it. I don't have a clue what his contract is but I'm sure…

I listen to the Score everyday during football season ,lots of football talk. Steve Rosenbloom repeated a great idea. Cant stand Rosenbloom or Bernstien , they both are arrogant, think there always right and negative Nellys. Trade Fields for Tomlin. (see Clab Williams thread). Its been suggested the owner wants a fresh start in Pittsburgh with a new coach. Tomlin has a great winning record but hasnt won a playoff gme since 2017. Tomlin is a coach Bears fans would love. Who knows if there is any legs to that rumor but its nice to think about.

A year ago, perhaps two, there was a thread where someone proposed trading Hester. I think it was after his second season when he was about to set all sorts of records on KR/PR. At the time I was against it because I figured he was a marquee player and if the WR experiment didn't work out he'd at least be an elite PR/KR. Two years later I'm throwing that out the window. I see a team in need of a lot of rebuilding, not a total rebuild but definitely in need of some cornerstone players. Those players are only going to arrive in one of three ways: High draft picks, FA, or dumb luck. Why trade Hester? He's still a huge name around the league and will comma…

Yes, I would actually do it. Whether you look at my username and sig and don't believe me that I want to make this work, I want this to happen. I've heard all the dopes say we could get like one team's pick for every round, which is obviously BS. But what could we actually get? I'm thinkin' a 2nd and a 3rd from a team. So we'd then have 1 1st, 2 2nds, 3 3rds, a 4th, a 5th, a 6th, and a 7th. Now, we can make that Derek Anderson trade and give up a 1st and a 3rd (no, we can't only give up 1 pick. if you want to try that, good luck getting him). With the Anderson trade, we now have a 2 2nds, 2 3rds, a 4th, a 5th, a 6th, and a 7th, which is still great! What do…

Bears | Interested in Marshall? Comment (0) Wed, 03 Mar 2010 09:06:48 -0800 Neil Hayes, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears could still potentially be in the running to acquire Denver Broncos WR Brandon Marshall in the offseason. Although general manager Jerry Angelo has said the wide receiver position is not a need for the team, one league source said Marshall could still be in a Bears uniform when training camp opens. The addition of Marshall would help QB Jay Cutler thrive in 2010. Bears | Olsen on the trading block? Comment (0) Wed, 03 Mar 2010 07:22:28 -0800 Greg A. I saw a draft where the Bears traded their first to CLE. That would take their 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, and future 2nd. At first I wasn’t sure I liked it, but looking at some players available, the idea isn’t bad. 2.01-Jonah Savaiinaea, OG, AZ - Monster. Takes Pryor’s job day one. 2.07-Jack Sawyer, DE, OSU - Temu Watt brother takes Walker’s job day one. 2.09-Wyatt Milum, OT, WV - ZERO sacks or pressures in 2024. Takes Borom’s job before the draft is over. 3.03-Tate Ratledge, OG, UGA: Has everything we thought Teven Jenkins would be. 3.08-Andrew Mukuba, FS, TX: Google “Mukuba Stockton hit.” He starts by mid season at worst. 3.30-Cam Skattebo, RB, AZST:…

Since Emery is suppose to be a draft guru and is willing to trade down. Here is a list of draft possibilities: ( Last years draft as of now doesnt look very good but I think he was handcuffed with Lovie in his ear) SF picks 31 34, 61 74, 93 128, 131c 157, 164 180 222, 237, 246c, 252c With there highest pick being 31 and having a solid roster to begin with I see them trading picks to get a higher quality pick going forward. I would say 20 for 34-74-128-180. That also works out on the draft trade chart. Buf 8 41 71 105 143 177 There is dire need of a QB and at #8 that is to high to grab one of them. So I think at 20 t…

I have seen a article with a couple trade possibilities that make some sense to me. WOULD YOU Trade the 3rd pick to Buffalo and get their 1 round 10th pick, a second round pick, and Tyrod Taylor Buffalo wants to move on from Taylor and want to take one of the three top QBs, so they move up to make sure they get one. Is Taylor a possibility? at 10 we still could get OJ Howard-Cam Robinson-Latimore Another possibility is with NO, I have read where Brandon Cooks has been complaining for his role of the team and might want out. We get 11th pick, 3rd rounder and Brandon Cooks. We could let Jeffery walk and have our #1 in Cooks with one…

This is pure speculation but the logic behind this deal makes sense from the Chiefs perspective if they have their sites set on a Superbowl in 2022. Proposal: Chiefs get Quinn. Bears get pick 96. (not good enough IMO) https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2955188-5-trades-nfl-teams-should-try-to-execute-before-the-2022-draft I see the Chiefs with 12 picks (albeit 4 in Rd 7). While the draft is a good one for edge rushers those who are ready to contribute as a rookie will be gone well before the end of Rd 1. Poles has a good idea of their urgency in finding a pass rusher, and that has only increased while watching the offseason trades in their divis…

A good article on draft and trade values: http://www.windycitygridiron.com/2013/4/17...ft-value-charts Just like what many of us have said, the 49ers look like prime candidates for our pick if they want it. They have the picks and the value is good for both teams. One interesting one would be Miami with 42 and 54, would they be willing to do it, and would we be willing to drop 22 slots for #54. We would then have #42, #50, and #54, which actually seems like a really sweet spot in the draft for value vs performance. To me that would almost be like getting 3 new starters, and even possibly 2 OL.

So the Bears had 3 huge trades this year, Mack, Quinn, then Smith. Besides creating a ton of cap space (which is hard to quantify), here is how the other teams are doing so far compared to what the Bears got/have: LAC - Mack, Wild Card loss, $27.5M AAV for 2 more years. BAL - Smith, Wild Card loss, $20M AAV for 5 more years. PHI - Quinn - 9 tackles, 1 sack, 1 game played since November 1st, 2023 UFA for Brisker, 2023 - 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th Due to comp picks, the Bears would not have gotten anything if they just let Quinn walk this offseason as they are projected to sign too many to get a comp pick, so getting anything for him was a great deal …

With the Chargers in serious need of outside LB help, and the Bears in serious lack of pass rush ability from McClellin I'm curious how many here would consider trading SMC to the Chargers if they inquired? And if so what would you want in return? The Chargers have Melvin Ingram and Freeney out. Freeney is a stop gap on their roster so they could view SMC as a long term solution for them opposite Ingram. For our part the Bears are already getting Washington reps which IMO indicates they know they aren't getting enough out of SMC so they are hoping they can speed up Washington's development. Washington needs a lot of development so for him to be on the fie…

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,5519790.story I don't know much about Sims, but the thought of getting a starter at guard for Brown seems like a good idea, particularly if the alternative is to release him or trade him for a late pick.
